(DEALS II) Galaxy Note 8 on sale at B&H photo also Best Buy price match - Galaxy Note 8.0 (Tablet) General

Hey Thought I would share my research with everyone interested in a Note 8. B&Hphoto has the Note 8 on sale for 374.98 with $25 Google play card. Also the best thing is that Best Buy matches this website as per their low price guarantee.
Also Amazon has the AllCast wireless hdmi hub on sale for 70.00 instead of 100. Another price match at best buy.
Sorry I am new user can't post the links. But trust me.
The hub works great streaming movies, games and web. No lag so far. I am able to use my Moga controller streaming to the tv.
How about that, Ouya, my Note 8 does it all and it is a amazing device.

Amazon also selling for $379 just got best buy to issue a $20 dollar refund! If you bought it in the last two weeks.

TF300t Best Price I've Seen

Have you seen this price?
Best price I have seen for the 32G and also the dock.
Best Buy will also price match.

I picked mine up at Best Buy for $350. Blue. Amazon has the dock for $128.
Man you guys got your Tf300T's pretty cheap. I got mine at Singapore when it first came out. Costed me roughly $580 for the tablet and the dock
That is an awesome price, holy cow! I got mine from Best Buy for I think $380 for the Tablet and $110 for the dock, but that was after my employee discount. I will ask my manager tomorrow if they can price match AND apply the discount, that would be swwwweeeeet!
Thanks for posting this
Does best buy even offer price matching? I tried to talk the salesman about how it's on Amazon, newegg and other websites cheaper but he didn't seem to know anything and I just picked it up for their price. Didn't want to wait and possibly pay for shipping. I will look for deals on the keyboard dock though. That I can wait a bit on.
Price Match
Print the add (posted above) or hard copy from the paper. Go to the Best Buy help desk and tell them you just bought this and Office Max now has it for <$
If you have a Best Buy in town you must have an Office Max, even if the Office Max does not have them in the store they offer ship to store for free.
Now go and save some bucks. Also, go to Best Buy website and print their Price Match Guarantee (have it in your hands to read) they know about it. Staples will also match it.
Good luck
I'm getting mine Thursday (32gb with the dock) for £360.
lol

I stumbled upon this deal this morning while researching tables. I was going to get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 until I read the Engadget and CNet reviews. Found out this one is much better. I was at work and called the store to have them hold one for me this I got off work. When I got there they told me that I got the last one and other customers were upset that I has one on hold.
Anyway, I go mine for $377.11 with tax and the keyboard dock for $107.74 with tax. The didn't have the keyboard dock so it is be shipped from another store. I should have it with two or three days.
Hey I just want to thank the OP for this. I printed out the ad, took it to Best Buy, and got $54.25 back. Needed the money too. Thanks
Yeah, just my two cents - I too price matched with Best Buy (my brother visiting from Ireland had bought this at Best Buy a couple of weeks ago). I ended up buying it myself from officemax and then we price matched his at best buy! They were all confused as honestly, I don't think anyone ever takes them up on their offer! But $54 is $54!! ;-)
Office Max TF300t Dock
Appears that Office Max has pulled the TF300t Dock from their web site. Sold out!
At that price I can see why. But not sure why they can't offfer a raincheck. If they did not do their research on what a good deal this was then shame on them. They knew it because of the way they presented it in their flyer. Best Buy had thousand of back orders at Christmas on the TF201 and honored them all. Even gave free docking stations based on the lack of Christmas delivery. Guys argue and hold them to it!
I got the tablet and dock at Best Buy yesterday. They matched the tablet since in stock in local stores, but would not match the keyboard. I went ahead and also got the keyboard from Best Buy hoping the keyboard would be in stock this week at OM to price match.
Then I decided to go ahead and order the keyboard from OM yesterday, since expected them to run out and not get any in store this week.
The dock shipped last night and I will take the other dock back to BB when I get it. Total price for tablet and dock was same price as the A510 and Excite.
just bought my tpad tf300t for $320 at my local best buy! It was a must but when i saw it. The device was pre owned and the box was opened but everything else wasnt touched at all. the device wasnt even turned on.
I keep looking for open box but none around me have any
There will be a tablet and dock in Kentucky tomorrow if my dock is dead and the tablet almost dead while left in sleep mode again. I have had this happen twice in a row and both times the device was restarted, no third party apps used and push notifications disabled.
Shame since got both for $450, but usless to me if the dock and tablet do not behave well together. I have not rooted, so a stock device should not be doing this.
The Excite also had a battery bleed issue while asleep, but 12%, not almost the whole thing (dock too). The A510 did not have the problem, but gets too hot during use.

I may end up using my View as my main Android tabby and the iPad 3 for everything else. Bummer.

Haha, yes. I called best buy to see if they would price match a white online one for a blue office max one and the answer was no.
Thanks for this thread & the information. I have done my research and am ready to pull the trigger on purchasing this TF300 tablet. A couple of questions:
I have a BestBuy in a local town about 20 minutes away from me and there is an OfficeMax in that same local. Online, the OfficeMax of course says "Backordered" in this particular store when I search for it. The BestBuy shows it in stock, however I haven't called them to verify yet.
I see BestBuy also has the 16gb model at a similar price to the 32gb that is on sale at OfficeMax.
Will they try to play this off as being that one and thus not be inclined to give me the "price match" offer?
Should I ask them over the phone about the "price match" when calling to verify they actually have the 32gb in stock before making the trip OR would it be best to just show up with the Ad?
Is a salesman the person I present the ad to OR should I just walk in and go to the customer service desk with it?
Sorry for the goofy questions, just trying to have both ores in the water so I have the best chance at getting this accomplished.

Tesco knocks £80 off

I assume to compete with Nexus10 launch, Tesco are now selling the Galaxy Note 10.1 for £319. I'll still waiting until I can try a N exus10 in PC World but it makes the choice more interesting.

You can also get 4.5% cashback, and £10 off for being a new Tesco Direct customer via Quidco. Plus Samsung are doing £50 cashback by redemption the looks of things. So that makes it equiv to £235 by my calculations.
GREAT!
Thanks for the info, I've been holding out buying a tablet - was looking at the Surface (beautiful looking tablet), and the N10, but couldn't justify the prices.
The Tesco discount, plus the Quido discount and cashback, along with Samsung cashback, made the Note 10.1 so irresistible! The total I've paid for it was £308. Picking it up next week from the local Tesco Extra, and the money I saved went straight on Amazon to get a case and USB adapters lol.
:laugh::laugh::laugh:
Now I have something to play with when I'm flying end of this month, and a place to back up my photos.

I'm seriously thinking about going tonight to get it, the lack of HDMI out is holding me back though. Although I suppose the money saved could go on an allshare cast hub

[Q] ouya price

how much this console??
$99.99
Seriously though? A Google search would be wise.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
For those of us that bought from kickstarter it was $95 (plus I paid an extra 30(?) for a second controller)
On the Ouya website www.ouya.tv it is $99 for the pre order with one controller. The price for the console at retail centres is still unknown.
I heard them mention in an interview that at retail the controllers would be $50.
Sent from my Sony Tablet S using XDA Premium HD app
actually, Kickstarter had a couple price points for the console. But you $95 was the cheapest, but very limited in number. Most people the cheapest was the $99.
I wouldn't be surprised if the retail cost of the cost of an extra controller to be $50 give or take. That's seems to be the standard price of new controllers that are made from the console manufactures such as Microsoft, Sony, OnLive, Nintendo, and so forth. If the system is popular enough, and the controller is unique enough, they're maybe some third parties who make one for a cheaper price.
I had read that they will make their money back from controllers for example, being around $50. Seems legit. THose with just the basic experience save money, if you like it you support it by expanding your console.
I preordered one through Amazon.com and the console was priced at $99.99 and the extra controller was prices at $49.99
i wont preorder it now
i will w8 untill its released
=]
the price is amazing for such a thing!
nice price
Australia??
Does anyone know if the OUYA is coming to Australia?? How much will it be???

Nexus 4 : Good prices ?

Hey guys ! I wanted lately to buy a used in good shape N4 , i find it to be a bit overpriced on ebay and amazon compared to the play store price (price is 50 bucks more) , and since in my country the play store doesnt exist i can only buy it from amazon and ebay !
So what do you think is a good price for it ?? im searching for a 16gb model , i think 8gb is not enough or is it ??
Thanks in advance
yes you are right, the reason your find them on ebay and amazon priced higher is probably becasue the seller will ship internationally, and is still cheaper then buying in their home country, or for what ever reason google does not sell in that country, OR the seller is counting on buyers who have a amazon store card or billmelater with paypal, and can finance it without having to get a real credit card, there are tons of reasons, those are the only ones i can think of now.
also i wouldnt pay more then $300 for a used 16gb nexus 4, i mean, for 50 bucks more you can get a new one, with a warranty!
since the nexus 4 is so different then its competitors and undercut them all in terms in price, it makes it an unprecedented popular "affordable" smart phone, with unprecedented pricing by 3rd parties. solid design and great phone, but a "cheap" device in terms of specs when compared to the S3 which is selling used for $300 right now.
even though it might be more difficult then normal to find, keep looking, as its the internet... and the 16gb models should be better priced then the 8gb's from what i've seen.
i had a 8gb nexus that i lost in the back of a taxi, it was a steller phone, though 8gb is not enough. though i did start to use streaming services like plex for video, and subsonic media server for my music and everything worked fine with internet, and could sync if i knew i would be without.
hope this helps
k
Have you tried Swappa? Some people will ship internationally. I just bought a Nexus 4 with accessories for $330. I know some people will say that's more than it should be, but it's basically brand new. If I ordered on Play between shipping and taxes I would've paid at least $50 more. I'll pocket the $50 for a phone that looks brand new.
Good luck.

Amazon UK suddenly stopped selling Shield TV 16GB?

I was shopping for a Shield TV on Amazon UK for a few days and suddenly today there's a message:
"Currently unavailable. - We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."
Could there be a new model coming down the pipe?

More probable that it's not been a good seller and they're stopping selling it?
I would think that if a new model was this close then there would have been announcements or at least rumours.
It came back on Amazon UK again... but it doesn't have the extra free controller (two total) like Nvidia.com is selling for the same price.
In any event, I just ordered a Wetek Core for $112 which I reckon will do the trick for me. It's powerful enough for Kodi and comes with a decent remote. It will replace my Roku 3 (I've been a Roku user from day one).
Nvidia should give people a choice between games controller, remote or nada - they'd sell far more Shield TV boxes.
I've never played games in my life so the thought of being stuck with a games controller and paying more for a remote just turned me off.
Plus, the Shield TV has been out for about a year now - I'd expect a new model within a few months.

The two game pads are a promotion that finishes on the 1st of May. Stores like Ebuyer and Scan are honouring it in the UK...I bought my Shield TV just over a month ago when the remote was bundled free on promotion. Honestly the remote isn't all that and is overpriced in my opinion....even if people don't want the extra pad being bundled, it shouldn't be hard to sell on to recoup cash on the initial purchase.
I'm sure you did your homework before buying. I've read many reviews and most don't really do the device justice....many mention the remote as being needed but neglect to mention the CEC compatibility (use the actual television remote) or the free apps available for smartphones to control Android TV or Kodi. Yes the "gaming chops" of the Shield TV are often mentioned but I'm still confident I bought the better hardware...it's actually Android TV that lets the device down. Many people are using Kodi and 3rd party addons to use ITV Player, which is crazy as they should have android apps available for the device.
With the update to Marshmallow it's actually more cost effective to buy the 16GB model and add your own storage (MicroSD or USB HDD) . These promotions surprise me as I figured Nvidia would need to bundle extra "goodies" for the Pro version to entice people to purchase that model.
I wouldn't be so sure about a new device so soon. I felt the same about the Shield tablet, after a year on the shelves I knew the Shield TV was on the horizon and (wrongly) assumed they would do a new tablet with Maxwell. Instead they released the Shield K1, still using Kepler and removing some features to lower the price point.
