It is being replaced by Google hangouts. Try downloading it from the Play Store.

Its probably uploading. See how it doesn't list the size of the app.

Looks like its a Google problem at the moment. Sure they will fix soon

Got the same. Interesting how the roll-out of all these "new" apps is problematic and a lot of hiccups in the process.
Eh well, they will fix it, like they did with Hangouts for Nexus 7 and so on ...

cannot download apps from playstore

I tried to look for this problem, but couldn't find anything relevant...
finally got my unlocked nexus 4 in the mail today!
was super excited, cut my existing t-mobile sim card (I'm on a contract with them) and was able to connect to their network.
the problem is that no matter what network i am on (wifi, 4g, 2g) i cannot download any apps from the play store. I click on 'install', it brings up the permissions window, i click on 'accept and download' and it tells me "[app_name] could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]."
Also can't update any apps...
I am extremely confused.. has anyone encountered this problem?

It is your nexus saying screw Facebook...if I was a nexus 4 I wouldn't want Facebook on me either.

I am with djwyman. Don't install FB app on your phone please. It is a piece of ****e software. Instead use your browser, chrome or Firefox. Works rather well.

OP, I do not know the source of that error, but from the screenshot it looks like you are using a custom rom. Try deleting some cwm backups. If that fails, do a factory reset and start over.

Nexus 4 appearing as Samsung galaxy s2 [play store]

So i was confused when play store didn't showed me some of high end games like wild blood, six guns etc. And then went through browser and saws that it was listed as Samsung Galaxy S2. Then i also checked build.prop it was perfectly fine but now how the duck do I fix this?

I would contact Google support it might just be a server error on their side if your build.prop isnt modified it should show up as a Nexus 4
Nexus 4 CyanogenMod 10.1.0RC5

Thank you, guys for trying to help. And @scream, i did posted at their Android Product Forum,, and no one replied.
But It's now fixed, I created another Google account which actually worked. :good:
Thanks again.
Mine shows up as "Google Nexus 4:"
This app is compatible with all of your devices.
Google Galaxy Nexus
Google Nexus 4
Motorola Atrix 4G
When you log into the Play Store on a desktop using your old account and you select the settings gear, what does it say in the Settings tab?

You mean at the home of Google Play store? The one at the top right corner?
BTW, is 9mm or Gameloft Live compatible with your Device? (Nexus 4)

Installed this so big thanks to gnotelover, but one question.. How can I add more homescreens?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Select an app or widget, and then move it to the right of the home screen and keep going. A new screen will appear.

Thanks, been trying that and it doesn't work, nothing happens...

You need to move the icon to the edge of the screen to the right, hold it there for a little. It should automatically take you to a new screen.
Thanks guys, human error... I was trying to do it with a widget, but it works with an app, not a widget..

Is this Google Now Launcher the same as the 0.10.1.920880?
Or what is the version number for this new one?

Thanks Jhall8. Do you also happen to know how to stretch wallpapers too? I can't get any wallpaper to fill up the screen even very large high def images.

Thanks again. I've tried that already but didn't bode well with my favorite walls. Tried clearing data in Google search got rid of the black bar on the right of the wallpaper but stretched way too much. Oh well.
Can anyone confirm whether the latest version of Google Search and/or the latest Google Now launcher goes back to the 6 x6 grid that Google search version 3.1.8920880.arm had? Every time I tried updating to new Search version it cuts off one of the columns which throws my whole homescreen setup and wigets off. I think the updates cut it to only 5 columns
