Modern Combat 4 data not copy - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys i just came across a problem that I cannot copy the main obb data file and the patch to the given path. Every time i try to copy it to the phone it gives error " the device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected" and this error comes only in the obb folder other then that i can copy the file in any other folder.I formated my cell and also tried all ways i could to copy this files but failed. does anyone have this prob or is there any solution to this ???? In the instructions there is written non root and offline from where i downloaded the game so what does that mean? and is that the reason for files to not get copied as my cell is rooted.

hey is there no1 to reply me ??? plz help ??

that is simple. you have root explorer? do you have the copy of bootanimation.zip of screaming droid on your sd card?
simply open bootanimation.zip location using root explorer then copy that file to system/customize/resource folder. restart android and mwallah, you got a new boot animation! cheers!
no go again
that didnt work either..

are you sure you were able to replace the original file? You can confirm the replacement by comparing the file size from your sd card and the file size from your resource folder. Also, better check that you don't have the same file located on Android/root/system/customize/resource
This is what I observed with some builds also, you need to do the copy process 2-3 times before file will be copied. Also, make sure system folder is R/w.

Also can anyone recommend a good free explorer that i can get from the app store so that i can instal .apk files from my sd card?

I'm pretty sure you're in the wrong forum. I'm assuming what you're talking about is a game, in which case, you should probably check and see if that game has a specific forum for itself. Just a hint for your problem: Notepad (assuming you're on Windows) can open anything.
As per yours suggestion where has to post ?

[ROOT] [TWEAK] Get Rid of The Annoying "customized_capability.xml" File For Good

[ROOT] [TWEAK] Get Rid of The Annoying "customized_capability.xml" File For Good
I dont know about all of you guys but I am always been annoyed by the undeletable "customized_capability.xml" file in both internal and external storage of all my Sony devices. I have asked around a lot and nobody knows the origin of this file and why this file is always automatically regenerated itself from thin air the moment it is been deleted ! ! !
Finally I have found it myself after a long week of exhaustive searching
The file is inside the "enhancedusbux.apk"
actual directory is "enhancedusbux.apk\res\raw\customized_capability.xml "
so to get rid of it once and for all you just need to delete the APK from "root/system/priv-app/enhancedusbux/enhancedusbux.apk"
dont forget to delete the existing "customized_capability.xml" files from both storages' root directory !!
Restart and waaa-laaaaa !!!
:good: Hit the "THANKS" button if you feel like it :good:

@chinmoy32 bro what is enhancedusbux.apk?
i mean what did exactly this apk?
thanks

whenever you connect your phone to the PC using the usb cable this APK generates the "customized_capability.xml" file in the root
of both internal sdcard and external micro sd card. which is totally unnecessary and very annoying to me.
In the Xperia T, TX era there was a system app named customizedCapability or something which used to generate this file.
but in newer Xperia phones there is no such APK. but the file was still re spawning. So I finally was able to find the source of it and
if you are wondering that removing this file/ APK may cause problems regarding USB connections or otherwise , I can assure you that there is no
such risk of any sort. I carefully reviewed the smali files inside that APK and all it does is read device capability and receives it via a broadcast receiver
and always actively checking whether the "customized_capability.xml" is there or not, if not then it creates the file at boot time or when the phone is connected to the PC . Thats all.
I think this will clarify all questions regarding this matter
Why is this file annoying ??
This is the stupidest thing ever read: that apk is used fot OTG usb connection. Do NOT delete it!

[Q] What is /data/data/com.android.providers.downloads?

What is /data/data/com.android.providers.downloads?
My /data/data/com.android.providers.downloads/cache directory is 3.4GB, which is a major chunk of my internal storage, which is down to around ~768MB. Can I safely delete the contents of /data/data/com.android.providers.downloads/cache?
I have so little internal storage that I can't complete app updates without going in and manually cleaning up cruft. And yes, I've moved apps to external storage and am saving photos and movies on it as well.
My thanks to those who take the time to help me with this.
C'mon folks. 74 views and no one has any advice?
Please, help me with this.

Thank you for the reply!
On my phone I can't see this directory with my filesystem GUI of choice, X-Plore File Manager, but it's accessible from a terminal. which is how I discovered it was filled with over 3GB of cruft. I'm about ready to just clean the cache dir in that path and see what happens. :silly:

So, tired of waiting for input (except for you, robmeik. Thanks!) I decided to just clear the /data/data/com.android.providers.downloads/cache directory an pray it is just what it appears to be, a temp directory. Turns out, yes, that is all it is. I deleted the files and have suffered no deleterious effects.
Hi, Fat Rat Bastard. So sorry no one replied to you because I have the same issue. What happened when you deleted those large files? Did you android device even notice them missing?

You need a rooted phone and a root capable file manager to access that folder, android 101
