Need Help Access ringtones from Storage card using Contacts

Hi All,
Is there any registry hack where i can set the ringtones which are on my SD card for specific contact using the contacts.
Regards,
Fesar.
I read it somewhere here that we can just save the ringtones under the root folder in storage card... when i did that, i can assign the ringtone to contacts... works for me. Try it
Just place all your ringtones in the storage card NOT in any folder. Then go to your contacts choose one, Edit it and Select the Ringtone Tab. You'll see there all your available ringtones
Choose... and you're set

Camera Pictures on Storage Card

I set the Camera to store the photos on the Storage Card but can't seem to find them. Either the camera is not processing and storing the pictures (-the counter is being reduced with each picture taken) or i just don't know where to look on the MiniSD Card, or i have a configuration problem. When i set the picture storage to the Main Memory everthing is OK.
Please HELP!!
I have exactly the same problem

The problem is that "Storage Card\My Documents" is empty
Gentlemen, I have found my/the solution.
The "My Documents" folder on my Mini-SD card was seemingly corrupt. I copied all the Directories of my SD to my PC except the "My Documents" folder and then re-formatted my SD card (FAT32). After this I inserted the SD card in the unit and then took a SD picture, this opened up a "My Documents" folder and "My Pictures" sub-folder, then I just copied everything back from my PC to the SD……..everything now works.
PS- I suggest that if taking a picture doesn't open up a "My Documents" folder on the SD then just make one yourself.
Had the same problem on my dopod D810. Just deleting the 'My Documents' folder on the storage card worked in this case. After taking a picture the folder was created automatically.

Move ALL ringtones to Storage Card?

Hello,
is it possible to move ALL ringtones (\Windows\*.wav; *.wma and \Windows\Rings\*.*) to the Storage Card?
I had success in moving the directory \Windows\Rings\ to \Storage Card\*
But i can't move the files from \Windows\*.wav and \Windows\*.wma to anywhere on the Storage Card. It seems as WM6.5 locks these files.
Is there any possibility known to move them anyway?
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely, nitrate
Try Resco Explorer. I recently moved all my ringtones to the card and my phone seems to find them automatically.

Did you move them to a specific folder? I have moved them to storage card but they can be found only if i don't put them in any folder. Any other way?

Adding Ringtones

Does anyone know how to insert ringtones and message alerts in to the main [ root ] directory of nexus one
put a directory on the sd card /Media/Audio/Ringtones and stick em in there
/Media/Audio/Alarms and /Media/Audio/Notifications
you could just make a 'ringtones' and a 'notifications' folder on the root of the sd card. no need to make the long path. mount your sd card via usb, drag whatever you want into those folders, unmount the sd card. should be available. if not, then turn the power off and on on the phone, they should be there now. btw, the ringer titles come from the 'title' field of the ringer, under properties, not the file name
Also make a folder called Alarms and put in your mp3s to use as an Alarm
This was very helpful.. Thanks

[Q] Music app and SD card on G2

Hi,
I have G2 with stock f/w (2.2) with build # 1.22.531.8.
Here is the issue,
I copied mp3 files from PC to the SD card (used USB cable).
when I start the music app or ringdroid, I can't see any files on my SD card. how ever I can select the files using "ES File Explorer" and play it on music app.
But no files show up on the music app.
Here is what I have done so far,
--> deleted all the ".nomedia" files from the card
--> backed up data and formated the SD card thru the phone
--> copied all the files back
Here are few other things that I tried,
--> removed SD card and inserted it back
--> unmounted SD storage and mounted it within the phone settings
The music files are copied to the /music folder.
Please let me know if I am missing something here.
Thanks for your time.
have you tried a different music player ?
and try putting them in /mp3 (works for me)
maybe format the sdcard on your pc
