This is the Chinese ColorOS Oppo's Find 5 V1.1
This needs a fresh install.Don't flash on anything else or u'll end in a brick.Do a full wipe first. You've been warned!!
This is the Public Beta test so download test and give feedback with the feedback app!!
What's new:
-4.2.2
New color OS Looks amazing.Battery life seems the same but way better than the 4.2.2 versions.Close to the 4.1.1.(need time for full testing).Revamped fonts and look of the OS.It looks cleaner a little more optimized for 1080p.Alot of camera features are here. The rom is very fast!New O+ spaces which look cleaner and easier to use especially the music one and are full screen.Music app redisign.Speaker have been made really loud.Really loud.Sound effect menu has been added to settings. It's a cleaner OS overall. If u've played with sense the new color OS looks that clean.Notification shade had expandable toggles.call dialing-connection app is redesigned.Just check it out! There's too much here!
Verdict:Flash it!Has almost the same battery life as 4.1.1 roms which were the best in my experience. It's fast and better looking!
How to install:
-Put the zip on ur sdcard.
-Reboot in recovery.(Turn off device then hold vol down+pwr until u see the recovery menu)
-Do a factory reset and cache wipe.
-Install zip from sdcard.
-reboot.
-Do an OTA!
OPPO Official links(do an OTA if you install this one)
Latest version 10/18 here
Root:here but you need to flash this with a custom recovery. For Gapps this little file can help
To fix status 7 error in case u have, just use twrp!!
All new images in the attachments.Hit thanks if you like!

Project Firefly is great and Oppo is doing a great job with their updates.
But this, this is absolutely AWESOME! The fullscreen widgets and the icon packs are nice, so: Oppo = Heavenly Manufacturer!

Battery life is even better than cm10.1 but the software is not even ready for basic consumption. I mean, contacts don't even work. It's not even ready for public beta. Can the link be taken down please

I tried this and liked some of the features.
Being English speaking some of the app area did not translate fully but that's why it "Beta".
The GUI was nice and colorful.
After 30 minutes I had to go back to the simplicity of CM10 .
Kind of wish that phone manufactures would stick to making quality items like the Find5 and just adopt CM10 as the base operating system.
Glad I had the opportunity to try Firefly beta, It just felt like running a OS via a cartoon interface.

Actually, no, the Root comes in the ROM, CWM originally was flashed using adb and fastboot commands, the needed is get permissions to use the commands, sometimes dont even bootloader unlocked is needed.

Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
It's pretty stable, very pretty - but the translations are a bit dodgy, and scrolling is slower than I'd like. Worth a look though!
I don't mind it actually, but MIUI is still in a league of it's own, even in Alpha state.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I think Mokee is more pretty and stable than MIUI..
It may be more stable since MIUI again is Alpha, but for me, I like having the package of MIUI MMS, MIUI Music, FTP file explorer, etc. Very clean and contain nice packaged apps. Mokee looks decent, but isn't anything special overall.

Just downloaded the latest 3.1.120225 today and it is not a bad rom. Very stable and not as modified as MUIU. Need to move this thread to Development and open this rom up to more people.

Here is a download link without having to read Chinese. Hopefully the developers do not mind.
It will show Chinese at first but change the keyboard to Android and check and make sure language is set to US English. After roboot, it should be all English.

I read the changelog and am ITCHING to try this bad boy. Do you have to do a full wipe? Sorry if it's a dumb question. I'm on Slimbean 3.1, and I do have the latest Semaphore downloaded that works with 4.2.1. I'm assuming a full wipe, but would like to be sure. Also, do I need to redownload gapps?

In the install instructions it gives 2 options from another room and advanced. And I quote
"For expert/advanced users ( those who debug on their own):
Download 4.2.1 from here
Wipe cache/dalvik, flash device zip and gapps upgrade zip
Reboot, if your run into issues, do the steps "For Most Users" and try to reproduce"
The gapps upgrade zip, is that the same as from 3.1 Or not available yet?

Actually it's Developer Options, and I wonder why it requires you to tap the build number in about phone a few times to unlock it... Thanks for the tip though.
Google is doing that so normal non-modifying consumers don't get confused by it.

I thought that was a joke! I confused it with multitapping the version number to get the Jellybean icon! I actually thought you guys were joking! LOL! I'm a dumbass! So, you click it and "congrats, you're a developer! I feel so stupid.
Tried this ver and cannot boot. It stuck at kernel boot screen . I odined the 2.8.0 semaphore and can not boot too. But I think it may relate to my burned internal sdcard. I installed helleybean which is working fine with my phone.
Is there any other reason about the issue. Cuz I still love this build.
Thanks

So far, so good. Seems smooth and snappy. Tablet ui option along with phone and phablet are nice. I didn't see performance settings anywhere (yes I tapped the build info 7 times to unlock developer options). Over clocking fine with setcpu. I'll have to play with it some more, but the first impression is quite nice.

The speed of the rom is NOT due to overclocking or modifying the kernel
It's due to the optimization of the management, all that makes it faster is the fact that it can chew through applications better and faster
from the tweak of the management. Overclocking physically changes the speed of the processor.

I want to develop this rom for YOU, not for myself. So the best way, i think.. to do this is to add polls and have Q&A's, i want to build my roms to fit needs for specific people, whether it is extremely HOT and rips through your battery, or is sturdy and is pretty efficient. I will include several links to different versions with different cooked kernels and scripts, once this thread gets going a bit.
I have always worked around the Galaxy Ace forums and have just really loved the little community going, pretty humorous people.
so i went and purchased the Galaxy Ace and the Galaxy Ace Plus just to develop for the devices.

What is Geared Android?
Geared Android is a highly customized and optimized system dedicated to CyanogenMod. We compile all of our releases from source, meaning we recompile them from clean source code, which has no possibility of infection and which lets us fine tune the system for speed and performance. We do not plagiarizer and we always share our sources and take no credit for anyone elses work, that being said our system is basically CyanogenMod modified further for eye candy, and extreme amounts of speed without tearing up your battery.
Features
Based on Gingerbread 2.3.7, through further development we hope to add support for ICS and possibly Jellybean.
Custom wallpapers
Kernel Re-worked and Developed by me, based on 'dragonns' firekernel, I would call it my own kernel, but dragonn really has shown me just through source how to re-develop such a great kernel like his and i absolutely respect him.
Custom BootSplash Animation (1st bootlogo)
Second Custom Boot Animation (2nd bootlogo)
Very very fast Rom, Different releases on each Release Candidate will be linked, for example we will have an Overclocked Version a Bare boned Version and just a regular version for anyone to add their own scripts and kernels to.
Great battery life on the Regular Version
Lot's more features which will have to be tested yourself!
Notes
The speed of the rom is not due to extreme amounts of overclocking of the kernel. It is from our scripts and optimized source which allows the compatible devices function so fast.
Remember, the speed of your home screen depends on your launcher. We suggest ADW Launcher EX for maximum performance.
We will not be held liable of responsible for any damage done to your device (which won't ever happen)
We always take requests so just hit us with a email, link is in signature picture.
Source Code will be available from github so anyone can compile their own release
Will be doing tutorials on how to customize a rom and a lot more

Woohoohoo downloading and installing right now. Thanks!
Also it should be noted that Carbon is now 4.4.3 so make sure folks your GAPPS are 4.4.3.
---------- Post added at 11:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:08 PM ----------
The GAPPS you linked to was giving me a TON of force close issues upon first boot. So I switched to the more generic ones here and they are working fine so far. I'm using the standard GAPPS which is more than enough for my needs when it comes to GAPPS. Anything I need beyond that like Maps I can grab from Play Store easily.

THANKS
Thanks,
Seems to work pretty smoothly. No problems yet. Even GPS locks immediately...
Ill report any problems..
Mike
I did notice lag issues with trying to use multiple widgets on the home screen. In particular in my case I tried using HD Widgets and PowerAMP. Now to be fair this might be in the Carbon ROM 4.4.3 source so who knows.
I used the standard 4.4.3 gapps provided in the Mad's link. Seems to be working fine.
Just wondering, and I searched but couldnt find the answer, how do we remove the google search bar from the desktop?
Thanks!
I got my sero back! Is the only ROM still in active development?

Nope, the Sero still has lots of XDA goodness ahead of it. @randomblame is working on taktiK ROMs built off of 4.4.4, @davepmer still has CM11 and OmniROM actively in development, I'm building PAC-ROM for 4.4.4 and I'm also working on Ubuntu Touch. @dolorespark also has AOSP 4.4.2 (and an experimental 4.4.3) built, and I'm running it right now. It's by far the most stable ROM, the only bugs being with the GPS having locking issues and GravityBox brightness settings (which I believe was fixed with a GravityBox update lately)

No update, go figure. It's sad, though- an official 4.3 ROM would've sped up development.
Still will. GET OFF YPUR A$$ES HISENSE.

To my knowledge audio over HDMI works on dave's CM11 ROM.
I think the navbar can be resized on Carbon, and I know for a fact it can be resized on PAC.

All of us devs have been posting ROM releases to this thread for convenience. IMHO it's the closest to our own forum we'll ever get.
