Show notifications in fullscreen - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Is there an option or an app to show a notification when it arrives if you are in fullscreen app/game. I know you can access notification bar by swiping from the top of the screen but I would like that notification (or notification bar showing the notification) shows automatically for a few seconds and then hide, something like on the iPhone. I would really appreciate your help because it's a very important and useful feature to me.
Thanks!

Notifications on lock screen

Hi, right now while the screen is locked, the notification bar cannot be accessed. Is there anyway to either 1) enable notification bar or 2) show notifications on lockscreen like iphone style? (for this I've tried lockerpro but its buggy, no passwords). Thank you!

As is the case with most Android apps, there’s a standard version, which offers a taster, and a full version which pitches a few tasty additional extras only available once you’ve parted with your money. In this case, the full version will allow you to display full notification text, set individual settings for each app and tailor the experience to the nth degree by choosing themes for the notifications and setting custom vibration patterns.
Just downloaded iphone notifications.. on google play..

Notification priority

Hi fellow XDAers
I wonder if there is any app or mod that can make me choose what notifications should always show on top?
I have a weather app that shows the weather as a big notification (4x2 I believe). Problem is that whenever another notification pops up the weather notification gets pushed down and shown as a smaller version. I would like to choose the weather as prioritized so it always stays on top.
Thanks

Sv: Notification priority
I don't know of any mods or apps.
Try Xylon ROM, it has that very feature built in to it. Maybe other ROMs do as well. You can then find it under the ROM settings>> lockscreen.
*Edit *
Sorry. Misread your problem. Sorry, I don't know of any such mod or app. But it would be handy indeed.

XZ lockscreen notifications

Why dont we have notifications like msgs, fb, missd calls on the lockscreen itself.. There should have been it in the first place..Would like to know if there is any app which does this without changing the default lockscreen of blinds of XZ.

I personally am grateful they never done this. Why would you want your private messages printed across your lockscreen for others to see.
The notification Icon in the status bar is more than adequate, pull down to see info when you want = optimum solution.

They're in the notification bar, visible on the lockscreen
...or just wait for an 4.2 update and you'll get plenty of options with widgets floating on the Play store (DashClock for example).
or use another lockscreen. I for example use holo locker, because i like the stock jb lockscreen. There you get a symbol on the lockscreen for messages mails and phonecalls.

[Q] What are those mysterious notifications?

From time to time my N4 alerts me with a sound, but when I check the navigation bar, I don't see anything in the list. When I look into the notification list through the notifications widget, I fail to find anything there either. This happens even when the phone is in sleep mode with WIFI off. What are those mysterious notifications?
Try using the Settings shortcut widget, select notifications and now you have a notification area.
I am not sure if it just works if a notification appears in the notification bar but it is worth a try.

Thanks for the suggestion! That's exactly what I checked before as I mentioned in my original post:

Any other suggestions?
You can try going into applications checking if they use notification sounds which you do not need.

S Calendar notification

Hello,
I don't get S Calendar notification on the locks screen or the status bar anymore...the phone wakes up every few minutes with the black screen and yellow and red buttons and arrows (see attached file) ....I'm on official Samsung stock lollipop on i9500.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks
Well that's how it is now. But if you want to keep it in notification drawer and hace a notification on your lockscreen instead of snoozing or dismissing, you can press the HOME button.
