I really won't the Octa core, but I need speed as I'm a heavy tethering user, I'm getting 12 to 24 meg on my Iphone 5 this will be like taking a step back... P.s in 8 weeks I have used 200 gigs worth of data via my IPhone to my MacBook thats on 3 network because I got speed I can ACHIVE that much usage what has Samsung done Octa is too slow ???

My n4 on 3 west mids conurbation regularly gets 3/4 times that with 3's hspa+

I think that I have such slow speeds because of the area I am in and the weather...

You can get the i9500 (Exynos) from eBay, from e-cell for £499.99. It's a business, they nearly have 1 million feedback,

Thanks Smiler, good to know that they delivered, as I'd be wary of buying something of such high value on eBay. I hope you didn't get hit with a big customs charge.

Ebay is not safe for such kind of products.
Here you go....and even way cheaper than what of you guys bought: http://www.revo-digital.com/mobile-phones-16.html?sid=be16b2ad68107b328e88c954d2bd4e80

Atleast the sliding mechanism looks more solid than the G1's mechanism. That's not saying much though.

This hardly matters given T-mobile's poor 3G coverage compared to practically every competing major carrier in the US.
It's sort of like the Evo/Epic 4G. Yea, 4G was nice but it's not like I'll have it anytime soon. I'm waiting for Verizon and/or AT&T to launch LTE, or maybe go back to AT&T and get an HSPA+ device. All I need is about 1.5 mbps consistent download speeds and I'm more than happy, TBQH. It's just a phone.
They should make their coverrage better.

Yawn.
Lookie who's back to threadcrapping.
OK I get the want for 4g. I dont see the point in buying a phone with close to the same specs when we have such decent phones around the corner.
Galaxy s 4g is not worth the upgrade for a 2-3 seconds faster page loads. I will hold onto my Vibrant and my soon to be HD2 until the tegra 3 arrives next year.

Loving 4g!!

I just tested the HSPA+ in my neighborhood (outside my house).
HOLY SMOKES IT'S FAST!
I got 7.2 down and 1.2 up with a 98ms ping.
second test (little later) I got 6.9 down and 1.2 up with 109ms ping.

I myself left Sprint and an Epic 4G for the Atrix and I have not looked back. My experience to date is that the data is consistently better with AT&T than with Sprint. My house is not covered by the very spotty Sprint 4g coverage and AT&T's 3g was a lot faster compared to my Sprint 3g.
I do drop more calls with AT&T though. My phone cycles in and out of signal more often, but not excessively.
You guys are lucky. My area won't be getting actual 4G any time soon.

Look, if you're stuck with a monopoly.. never mind, let me just give you an analogy
If a hitman beats you with a club every day, and you get badly injured you're sad.
Then he upgrades his backfist and decides to beat you up instead. It sucks, but it's better.
Would you rather be beat with a club, or a fist?

Phone signal in basement

Hey, I'm currently working with a HTC HD2 with a Froyo Android on it and having difficulties in the basement.
I've recently moved into a new rental house (am a University student) and was given a room in the basement (not much choice there since I signed up late for housing). Anyways I've noticed I get 1-2 bars in the basement which is fine (so I thought) but I'm not receiving any text or phone calls! Whenever I walk outside with my phone there's multiple texts waiting for me and whenever I meet my parents they question why I never pick up the phone (I dont even have missed calls showing).
Now with my closest friends I have whatsapp/fb chat/google talk which is fine but for employers who I give my resume to, or friends I occasionally meet up with they have no way to contact me :S so was wondering if there's any way to boost my signal in the basement?
I've read about a few signal boosters and repeaters but they are costing hundreds of dollars which is out of my price range but really do need to fix something or my social life is going down the drain next semester :S
Thanks in advance
forgot to mention, it wont even send texts as well at two bars... so sad T__T

Go outside. Solves both your social life problem and signal problem.
Maybe AT&T will have better signal and you can just switch to like Straight Talk.

Hey just downloaded a signal booster app last nite (Fresh Network) and it doesn't fix the problem completely... but if i hold the phone exactly above my mini-fridge and send texts they usually go through after 3-4 attempts which is nice but sad to see there's no better solutions

Hey, no didn't pay for it but I personally disagree. It feels like it does help (although the difference isn't very much)
And yea was debating on going pure WiFi but seems like a lot of hassle to have two different numbers, or is there a way to keep same number?? Sorry not very sure how WiFi networks work, if you could recommend a good one that'd be great

Most T-Mobile smartphones have built in wifi calling. No porting or different numbers. You just connect to a wifi network and enable it in the settings.

Anyone with FAST wifi do speed tests?
One of my issues with the S7E is its wifi was much slower than my Note 5.
My iPhone 7+ hits 600+ up and down on our wave2 AC wifi network here.
The S7E had fast LTE though. Fastest speedtest (Verizon) I recall was around 130 down and 50 up. That's smoking for LTE but bad if you don't have unlimited. LOL

The link speed is all over the place. The wifi app only goes to 866 but it sometimes pegs the meter and goes over 999. LOL
Getting great speeds on wifi. Similar speeds to my 2016 macbook pro! The wifi radio on this is excellent. Haven't tried lower signals to see how it fares yet.
