Clockworkmod is ready yet or not? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Is clockword ready for our phone>?
sorry for the noob question

I'm using TWRP 2.5 on my device right now. There's a touch-input sensitivity issue but it hasn't posed much of a threat for me. Works great aside from the keybiard being a bit touchy. No pun intended.

Yes sir, go to the Android Development forum and go to Shabbypenguins OUHDS recovery thread, and it provides excellent instructions on installing the recovery and then on installing root on it. Then your ready to go to flash roms. Right now Unknownforce's Force Rom is the only TW rom, and Slim bean is the only AOSP rom in beta - though alpha builds for CM, PA, and AOKP are currently being worked on by a great dev and should be up and running soon enough!
EDIT: CM is actually in Beta as well at the moment!

You know a phones community is great when people give detailed and friendly responses rather then flame away. Hope that will last

That is fine and nice of you. But you should have started this in general section.

LTE on I9505 rom

Will I be able to use LTE if i use correct AT&T apn settings on a I9505 rom? I installed wanamlite but quickly retreated to my backup when I realized I only had hspa+ as I am coming from a GSII and am loving the speed of LTE. I realize that the I9505 itself does not use LTE but would it be functional on a I337?
I have successfully flashed a i9505 ROM and ktoonsez AOSP kernel and have LTE.

It's not the wrong forum, this is i337 forum, and he is asking about flashing a 9505 rom onto it. Read before snapping to a judgment.

I should have been more specific.
You posted in the wrong forum. You need to post questions like this in the Q&A i337 forum (after searching to see if there is already a similar thread topic).
thatsupnow was nice enough to link the thread. :good:

Gotcha, I was viewing on my phone and had popped in and out of a few different forums/threads, you are right should be Q/A, I was thinking you directly meant 9505 vs. i337. Oh well. :good:

I apologize for the post in the wrong section, however, what I was asking was not in the subject header of that thread and therefore did seem to be relevant so I created a thread. Thanks for the replies though (even though you mostly only argued)

TriForce 3.0 - MDC

Hi, im currently running Triforce 3.0 and i'd love to upgrade from MDC to MF9 but i am reading numerous reports of MF9 random reboot issues alongside with non working Wifi. Has anyone found a solution to these two issues?
By the way I love Triforce rom and may use it as my daily driver but im also interested in running an Aosp rom if I get tired of touchwiz. What is the current best Aosp rom available for us Sprint users ? Thanks
I don't understand. Triforce is already MF9. So you are on a MF9 build.
Unless you're talking about the baseband then there is no problem updating. And as for the WiFi issue. Just flash a different kernel.

You're correct. I am talking about updating the baseband from MDC to MF9... but many people have reported issues of random reboots.
And is there a better Aosp rom available for sprint users other than PacMan rom?
Thanks

Check the original development, there some AOSP roms to choose from and give them a try to see which one you like. I prefer carbon rom but you could have a different taste.

Boy who knows, could be.
But you should ask this on that dev's ROM section.
Also while you're on that tangent it has been discused dozens (if not HUNDREDS) of times in that forum that the KT kernel DOES NOT WORK ON ALL devices. It may work for some but certainly not all.
Spend some time reading through the ENTIRE thread and you'll find the answers you seek.
Good luck.
This^^^
Almost exactly what I was going to say. Its been stated in Sacs thread and you should read/search more.

He can't post in Sac's thread, it was his first post. Don't you need 10 posts to post in a development thread.
I tried to post in sacs and it redirected me here

He may not be able to post there's buy that doesn't mean he isn't able to search the thread to see what people say about Ktoonz. Anyways have you tired to flash a stock kernel?,

Each person has their own pref. Not to mention each rom will and can work differently depending on the device and person that is using the device. The best option (had you followed the rules you would know this) would be to try a few out and make up your own mind. Keep in mind this is a development forum. Not a rom forum.
