Adding Apps to Multi-view Window - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

In the side bar for the multi-view window, is there a way to add other apps in addition to the ones that are automatically populated?

sure there is an app in the play store that allows pretty much anything to be used in multi view.
don't have my phone at the moment so you'll have to search.

curious what some good uses for multiview are. I love the idea but I'm so used to switching apps the old way that I don't use it much.

Weird System Apps Installed

So i just rooted my phone. I am loading TiB and noticed some apps that are Red (system apps?) and they dont really seem like it... and I cant even search the games up. I removed one that was called " Com2us.(adasda)TexasHoldem app" and once i removed it i noticed that it said samsung at the end... i notice some other weird ones as well but I don't know if i should remove it.
Match3VS 1.0.117
I'm 99.9% sure they are fine to remove, but the weird thing is that I can't even find it on my phone.
Does anyone else have those 2 apps in stalled ? or it's just me.

They are 2 bloatware games that are from Samsung/at&t they show up as red(system apps) because even though they are just games Samsung installed them to the system/apps folder so they can't be deleted. Just like the rest of the Samsung/at&t bloatware

there's also Com2Us Poker or something similar. Where do you even access these? I couldn't even find them in the games hub before i removed them..
Me neither and I tried opening both they just kept force closing.. Maybe a carry over from the international s4's or maybe a tie in with chaton or something.. Another app I never use

[Q][SOLVED]Tasker Play Samsung Music-Shuffle Mode?

Hi I want to be able to plug in my headphones and have Tasker open the stock Samsung Music app, and then play shuffle mode across all of my songs.
I have it where it opens on headphone plugged in, but not sure how to specify to play music on shuffle mode?
I finally figured it out if anyone was wondering...Its awesome now
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
New to tasker here. Just downloaded it. Would like to replicate what you have done, but your screenshot doesn't provide me enough details. Care to share the rest or at least point me in the right direction or place where I can learn tasker and download a few tasker plug-ins to play with.
My Dpad in tasker is not available to me. Got a lot to learn I guess.
Sent from my SM-N900V using xda app-developers app

BTW I'd liked to be able to plug in my headphones and tasker select the Google music play app, select a playlist, add shuffle, and set volume level to 15. Is that doable?
May not be the right place to ask this question. If so then request mods to just delete...
Thanks.

Sure, I attached a screen shot of the profile as a whole. The task named launch music is in my first post and the dpad selection is under "input" section in tasker.
Give it a go and let us know if you get stuck, tasker is tough at first but really good to know

Thanks. I figured it out from using their online guide although looks like it was from an earlier veraion. Used multi app versus a single app.
Next one I think I will try is for tasker to run my onstar remote app to start my truck every morning except weekends during the cold months say Dec 1st through Mar 15. I think that would be pretty cool. But i would have to figure out how to easily disable it for those times when i park it in the garage. Also have to figure out how to get the pin into the remote app to start the truck. Not sure if it would be doable with tasker. Anybody in the mood to write an app? Ha!

Seems like I have to root my phone for using the dpad...

what did you use to edit setting db? i cant get it to edit without crashing
This has been done for a while:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719582
That being said, I skimmed the thread and I don't think the author posted exactly what settings were changed in the corresponding files. Even though it mentions all variants, sometimes the apk's vary between carrier software versions, so if you do intend to copy the files to the corresponding places from the (presumably 2.1 ODEX) zip in the OP of that thread, make sure you make a backup just in case,
Also, realize that you may be at risk to bootloop and unable to access adb if the boot procedure stops early, thus forcing you to reflash the original factory ODIN file, which means you'd lose any data/settings by reverting to factory defaults.
Hey guys I've beetn working on this a little bit. Check out this thread. It looks to be a difference in the services.jar file where the very obviously states "This feature is disabled" multiple times. It's in a folder called SmartBonding.

Yesterday I tried changing one file, but I noticed the others have minor differences too. I'm going to try with more of the files replaced today.

Display Mirroring Smartphone to FireTV

Hi together,
is there any app or possibility to use a display mirroring app/standard (like miracast) to share the smartphone screen on the fire tv? I am using a LG G3 with stock rom and it supports miracast. Until now i haven't found any solution, only a youtube video without explanations.

No problem. Just checked on my tablet too where I know it was working a month or so ago (nothing had changed on my tablet) and it's not working either. I wonder if the beta file had an expiration date. I think koush has done that in the past with some of his releases.

Didn't work for me either. Just crashed back to the home screen on my One+ One and my Xperia Z2. I don't have either of them rooted yet so that might be the issue, or there could have been a timer in the beta as mentioned. With the airplay/dlna app for the Fire TV the developer got back to me and said the phone needs to be rooted to enable mirroring for his androidsender apk to work so I will try rooting my One+ and see how that goes. He did mention the feature is very experimental at this stage.
