Touchwiz 3.0 on DHD?

Hey guys, I am just got my DHD and its my first android device so im all new to this OS. I was just wondering would it be possible to install touchwiz 3.0 from samsung on my DHD instead of the Sense UI? I really dont like the sense UI i think touchwiz is much better from what ive seen in videos. If it is possible could someone explain how would i go about doing it?
Thanks!!
Should have got a samsung I think!

Strange, almost every reviewer and member of the general public thinks that touchwiz is the biggest pile of dog turd, and yet you want it on your Desire HD? I don't understand the world anymore.
im complicated lol

Fair enough, if I could help you I would, but I guess the comment about just using the launcher is probably your best bet.
Sorry guys tried to find anything but I couldn't do you know if its possible to root the desire be?

[Q] How about windows 6.5 on wildfire?

Possible to make windows 6.5 on wildfire?
everything it's possibile, but it's useless and you have to do a long work to do that...
lol, I thought everyone wanted it the other way round?
Why would you want to? Wm6.5 is obsolete and horrible... you'd have better luck porting Wine to Android I reckon!

Wine for Android? Is that even possible? And what would make that?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Nah probably not, since Wine is not an emulator and requires an x86 CPU whereas most phones are ARM. There exists DOSBox, but Wildfire ain't good enough for it

why wm 6.5, the question shuold be wm7
Why do you want change to wm? There are many costume roms with a awesome style. Maybe you'll find another solution without wm

Wp7 on DHD

3-4days ago, I saw that HTC announced Titan and Radar.. and both the cpu is msm8255. Moreover Radar is 1GHZ.... So I think we can port wp7 to our DHD... What do you think?

Um why wp7 on the dhd?

Better than nothing... Isn't it? I always envy HD2....

Eh true, I dunno love android too much. but am curious about wp7

It wolud be awesome a dual boot android wp7 but i think only cotulla can do it
Sounds interesting. I hope someone can do this id love to give it a try.
Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using Tapatalk
Well, the problem isn't just the chipset. There are also other hardware parts that probably aren't the same as in these devices.
And that parts are the problem because wp7 is closed source so you can't really modify drivers, kernel,... Since android is open source, the drivers can be "easily" modified or replaced by others.
But if HTC uses the exact same hardware in these devices, there is a SMALL possibility that it will be portet someday. But imo it's unlikely that it will be ported.

It would be awesome indeed. But I doubt that someone will do it.

In my opinion, if you want to use wp7 and don't want to spend very much, you can buy a used hd2 around 100€... I am playing with this idea now, because I use two phones and wp7 looks nice and works good, but my main phone is and will be my DHD with Android because android can do more, than I would wish on a phone. It's the most amazing operating system ever...
Sent from my HTC Desire HD-T2X using XDA Premium App
the question, why? I would have answered, just because of the good feeling that our phone can do that. I would never use W7 but I would like to try to look again and tell myself that the DHD with Android platform the best choice.
Well, if there are someone who will to create a new custom bootloader, den I think multi boot on multi os is possible

I saw someone discovered dual boot between sense rom and non sense rom....

[sarcasm] Wow, surprised this hasn't been asked before[/sarcasm] If you want WP7 on your phone go buy a windoze phone, it's closed source and would be a helluva a lot of effort for people to go to and why bother?.
Anyway MODS any chance you can close this thread as you have the other 100+ asking this question?
I suppose that it will be nice to have dual boot, but IMO wp7 sucks. The effort in achieving this is just not worth it.
Have wp7 on my work phone and I must say that win 6.5.x on my topaz is much better. Yes the speed and UI are better but some general things (which are very annoying in daily use) need to be polished.
Many missed calls as the wp7 can be powered off while phone is locked. So every time you put it in your pocked you must be sure that power button is face down.
i just can't honestly think why any one would want wp7 as a daily OS, maybe for a play, but why, really why?

Android is the best
ill stick to android..one of the best...
I for one would love to see WP7 dual boot with CM7 on my DHD. Even if it's just for a proof of concept. The new Mango update does give WP7 ability to run on DHD hardware. Maybe not e'thing would work but the chipset will be supported. So porting it to DHD shouldm't be that difficult.

Well I don't trust Firefox..
mate the Firefox is the most trashy web browser.. is the only web browser that crash on my systems (yeah .. on 3 computers). Why I should trust the OS? I bet is gonna be a junk like the browser itself. Firefox lost their start.. now they are far behind.. the market is already shared! is gonna be a total disaster!
Would definitely be interesting..!!
since the firefox os is being developed for low end devices, i wonder if it would be possible if they can make a universally flashable image or something that would support all phones..!!
that would be amazing...

I completely disagree. Firefox is one of the best browsers out there! Nothing beats chrome, haha, but I think Firefox is right behind it. It's very fast and stable.
And Firefox OS is really smooth, from what I've heard around the community. It doesn't require a whole lotta juice from the phone.

Ubuntu Touch

Hi! Main reason for me to upgrade my trusty old Htc desire (running CM jelly) was to run Ubuntu Touch OS on this great piece of hardware.
I am in the process of setting up the build enviroment. Am I the only one trying this for the international 9505 S4?

Any news yet? I think that since Ubuntu Touch builds upon CM as interface for hardware, there should be good possibilities due to the S4 google edition coming soon.

+1 would like to see this too
Ubuntu TOuch GT-I9505
hi, I would love to be a tester, if anyone has managed to port the rom to the galaxy S4 I9505. I have played with it *(alpha) on the S3, and it's amazing in terms of design. Just hope someone will port it soon ^^.
Would be great
Yeah i'd love to test it too,, i've been running my S4 I9505 on early CyanogenMod since the day I got it but i'd totally love to have Ubuntu on it,, (I use ubuntu on my desktop and laptop, too)
but I guess around the time there's a official CM10.1 Stable build out, there will be someone who made a port of ubuntu touch
Yet another +1...
Could be a great alternative to TW / CM... Dev' needed
Did anyone tried to fetch the code and "merge" / port some job from AOSP to it, early "alpha" unofficial builds?
I'm in for testing too this sounds great and I'm willing to help in development

Trust me your not the only one, given our handsets exceed the minimum requirements it just requires a dev or two to jump onboard aswell. I know sod all about "porting" do I can dream. Hopefully given time well have a port. Or even a official. (dreaming right?) Finger's crossed :beer:
