[Q] Usb Audio DAC only coming from right channel!?!? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I've done extensive searching on the interwebs and found a similar topic here on XDA with no answers.
Here's my problem: I have a Nexus 7 3G running Paranoid Android with Timurs Fixed Installation USB Audio kernel. I'm using this setup for a car install. I just received the Turtle Beach Micro II USB DAC yesterday. This DAC is a confirmed working DAC with the Nexus 7 and kernel. The sounde comes through, but only from the right channel. You can hear maybe 2% from the left. The DAC works fine with my computer and the Nexus 7 audio port outputs audio normally. This is making me crazy.
Someone heeeeelp, thanks

Nexus Q - USB as a Audio IN

Hi
I am trying to see if I can hook up my turntable to my Nexus Q(Using USB as Audio IN) and some bookshelf speakers to the Q for a casual listening setup. Do you know if this is possible?

HDMI to TV - video, but no sound - anyone else?

When I connect my Nexus 10 to my HDTV, it shares the device's display without issue, but there is no sound output. I've tried everything that I can think of. Am I missing something? The last time I connected any android device via HDMI was my Xoom over a year ago, and since I got rid of that pretty quickly (too heavy) it's been a while. Suddenly I am having problems.
This is the cable I'm using: http://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-F...1353207285&sr=8-1&keywords=Micro+HDMI+to+hdmi
same here
Habe the same Problem. Sound isnt Wirkung with HDMI . is there a solution ?
If I find out this thing doesn't support audio out via HDMI :crying:
Someone tell me theirs is fine... please?
All quiet here, too.
I am using this cable.

I had the exact opposite for a while (sound with no video). I was using a micro to normal HDMI adapter and a normal cable and it turned out the cable connection to the tv was loose. Fixed and all was well. Sound and video.
I didn't expect others to have the same problem. That's scary. I'm going to call Google Play support then. Thanks guys.

I have no problem with HDMI audio out... both audio and video work fine... on stock & even with my custom ROM...
I think I found the solution.
Since my TV is older, it only had 2 HDMI ports. I was using an HDMI switch to give me more ports. Running through the switch gave me picture, but no sound. When I plugged in the cable directly into the TV, it worked perfectly.
I found the solution from a Droid razr owner who had the same issue with an HDMI extender.

There should be more documentation for this kind of thing, but a hunch..
...maybe the hdmi ports have to be arc enabled (1.4a) then only giving audio?
So, mixing and matching cables/connectors/switchers will undoubtedly cause problems.
I'm also having no sound, but display works fine. I have it connected straight to the tv with a standard cable. Any ideas?

I am, also, experiencing no sound over HDMI problem. It might be the cable. What cable are you using?
I had a similar problem the other night. I fixed it by disconnecting HDMI and then turning volume up on n10 and then reconnecting HDMI. When connected the volume buttons didn't change volume at all.

I have audio but no video. The same cable works with my Asus tf700 and Kindle Fire HD. I called support and they are sending me a replacement.

I had the same problem. I solved it by connecting my amp to it via the headphone socket, turning the volume on the n10 up and then pulled the headphone jack out.
Odd that you cant adjust volume with just a hdmi cable plugged in.
I have sound but no picture. Using a micro HDMI adaptor to hdmi I've tried a cheap cable and a audio quest cable

I tried this fix and it didn't work. Maybe I have a bad cable...

I'm using an HDMI to HDMI cable with a HDMI in to micro HDMI out adapter. Getting no sound out at all. It's not coming from the TV or the Nexus 10. Going to buy a normal HDMI to micro HDMI cable and try that...
I got no video! it shows 1080p signal but gives me black screen, any fix?

[Q] Work being done on USB Audio?

Hello guys!
I just wonder if anyone know if there are any work being done on getting USB Audio working on Nexus 4 at the moment?
I would really love to be able to connect an USB DAC like Fiio E7/E17 or Ibasso D10 to my Nexus and get some sweet tunes out.

[Q] USB OTG with DAC or USB Audio on 5.1?

Are there any kernels that support either USB DAC's via OTG or USB Audio on 5.1 yet? My Behringer UCA-202 doesn't seem to work on 5.1.
I second this. It seems to be quite strange:
- It is working just fine on my nexus 10 with android 5.1, charge and usb play
- nexus 6 it doesn`t charge but plays just fine
- nexus 7 doesn`t charge and doesn`t play sound
Bought a DAC , sabre android, and was disappointed to find it doesn't work. Somebody made an issue saying no DACs work but it was closed with status:wrongforum, which seems off the mark: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=99031
Works with latest CM12 nightly.

[Q] 4 Channel USB DAC for 2012 Nexus 7

So, short explanation - goign to install Nexus 7 in my jeep in place of head unit. I have looked at several installs, and they all seem to be using a 2 channel USB audio output device or the headphone jack. I was curious if there are any 4 or more channel USB audio output devices that are confirmed to be working. I was looking specifically at StarTech 7.1 Channel USB Audio Output. I plan on using a separate 4 channel amplifier to run the speakers, so I really just need the audio output and would prefer true 4 channel.
So my question is - is there a USB DAC with 4+ channels that will work on the 2012 Nexus 7? Or am I limited to 2 channels?
Thanks.
