This phone is pretty much dead. It's a blackbox, as far as I know nobody has been able to get around the boot loader to do some custom things. That's why there's no custom ROMs for LG E900 yet (and probably never will).
More LG E900
Too bad no one is interested in developing this phone.
In my opinion there are dual core phones running android that lose by having poor rom mem compared with these single core :victory:
Anyone willing to give some use to these black boxes?

i'm using android on LG Optimus GT540 under Android 1.6 (Donut).
In existing OS cannot install APK to SDCard.
but today, i seen LG Web site and LG give source code for LG Optmis GT540 ROM for custom ROM.But i'm not programmer.
Please any body can help me for custom MOD LG GT540 ?

yes we need custom roms for our gt540...
is it possible to open a device specific forum? there are so many people in here using gt540...
well, im a programmer, but not an android programmer, at lease for now
i bought 2 days ago my first android phone, lg gt540.. im loving this, i was a fan of windows mobile, and i still am (waiting for wp7). But now im loving this OS, so im going to invest some time into this OS and start learning about this, so i can program on this.. maybe someone who knows about this could point me some directions.. but for now im only using the developer site from android for directions.. i hope some experts could come here to point some directions
im waiting for 2.1 rom update so as you all are, but for now i will try to understand the basis of 1.6 source code and structure..
and please, make the LG GT540 a new phone for this website in the main page.. to all who have the LG GT540 PLEASE VOTE in the poll for this phone to be added.

If you take a look into the Android lot of your questions will be solved by reading the sticky thread.
Important: Fore be able to run Android you need at least a Radio version 2.08.50.05!!!!
Your question about witch version is a little bit misplaced. there is nothing like bad ore good.
All depends on your needs/wishes. Take a look on release date to have the latest one!
I just got an old b7610 from my uncle and is suppose to use it until our phone contract runs out which is somewhere in the summer next year. The phone is currently quite laggy and has lots of bugs. I would like to know how I can maybe flash a custom ROM from the forum and use it on here, and do I need to hack the phone in order to flash the custom ROM like android does? And if so, can anyone tell me how to hack the phone? sorry i'm a noob when it comes to windows mobile

I own a LG optimus L5 and i am totaly sick of its speed and the LG UI
so i decided that i wanted to root my phone and put another rom on it.
With my previous phone (LG optimus black) this was al pretty straight forward,
but because the devolepment of this phone is in full progres it is al a bit more confusing..
I would like to have an other interface on my phone and i want to overlock my phone
and use a faster and more energy efficent kernel. After spitting trough the forums i noticed
that CM would fit this. So how do i get CM on my phone? the rooting is pretty straightforward because of this thread:

but after that I am lost... i need to do some bootloader stuff?
And after that i can load CM10 on it? where can i find the rom,
and where can i find other kernals?
i hope someone can help me clear everything up for me so i can enjoy

I read through the forum, and even stopped on the 'noobie friendly' post... but.. there's noobie and then there's me I guess. The lingo used is completely out of my league... boy have things changed since 2010.......... (Last time I did something like this... it was a lot easier back in the day...)
So.. here is my issue: I bought a S4 i9500 in China- and would like to change the factory image to one that has google play. Ideally a north American or European version for linguistic purposes. I would even go with a hong-kong one if available.
I seem to have the gist of it (get Odin and a firmware) but... that's where you loose me. Could anyone help me? I would be eternally grateful

Thanks! To be honest though, the words Custom Rom mean absolutely nothing to me :/ After hours of researching the forum with apparently the wrong keywords I think I may have landed on a post that gives me a dumbed-down step-by-step. Sorry for any waste of time I may have given some people.. The world of development (or IT for that matter) is absolutely beyond me. I'll stick to teaching foreign languages me thinks...
