[Q] Camera Problem...!!!! - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

Need help about camera problem..... It just occurred one time.... so I tried to flash other stock and custom ROMS but nothing worked..... other solutions include removing the battery and squeezing the camera area.. still doesn't work,,,, I haven't tried flashing any kernels yet.... i think the camera hardware isn't damaged yet since it captures images.. its just that it displays captured images in green fuzz color,,,, i tried different camera settings and reset... still no luck,,,,i have attached captured pictures for evaluation... please, any solutions or advice.... ?

Since you tried different ROMs and even used Stock, I wont rule out hardware as the problem

try other camera apps...or wipe dalvik cache and cache....

Im also have same problem since two days, tried other roms, odin flash, also used other camera apps, nothing worked.
Plz anybody help.

Yeah i would want to take it to a service center ASAP... but the problem is I'm in a university campus where there is no Mobile Service center... Specifically for Samsung devices.... I can do basic hardware troubleshooting....i was able to replace the power switch myself but the camera module isn't basic at all... and as i noticed, it requires a specific tool for removing the camera.....
i guess it will cost me a lot going to another town...

Its a hardware failure... Its better if u go to a service centre.. Or u can keep it nd brag to ur friends that u got a matrix effect

I dont know why but problems wkith galaxy y's hav increased drastically since the last few months...

New Vignette app

So I recieved an email from the makers of Vignette saying that they had to make a new apk because the old one was not able to be updated. They said to buy the new one and the old one will automatically be refunded. Nice! But, only problem is, it doesn't work (on Beta 4 anyhow...). So, I just wanna warn people not to uninstall the old one and get the new one. Luckily I had it backed up
Cheers.
It worked with me ( Stock 2.1 )
so I guess this is custom Rom issue
Works perfect on stock 2.1. With Wolfbreaks cm rom had some trouble but finally started to work..same with freex10.
So it works, just keep messing with it.

is it any good - was taking way too long to save images for me when I used it.. although I did like the auto "flash" light.. if the save time has improved then I might try it again..

yeah i'm using vignette 2011.02.24.6 the focus problem kinda solved..
i did having trouble with 02.24.5
vignette's dev is also updating his work on videocam illusion for x10 version 1.01
I just updated mine.. working perfectly ....
I contacted the devs of this app about a week ago to tell them the x10 was still out of focus in some situations. Have to say, they were VERY helpful and I got a message from them saying they had bought an x10 just to fix the issue, and they'd fixed it and the update was now available.
I'm very impressed with them and Vignette is now back on form! As for the slow picture taking, I tend to stick to the 2MB option for quick snapshots, it's MUCH quicker. Also turned off location info and that seems to help too.

Gallery replacement app
Sir (",) kindly try with a Gallery-replacement app called "QuickPic", it is only 676KB and is free, fast and efficient. It has alot of good feedback in the "Play Store". Let us know if it helps. Thank you.

Irritating wallpaper recalibration

I dont know if you guys have this problem but my Note 2 LTE always recalibrates the wallpaper everytime I press the home button. It would go to the right and the to the left and finally back to the center. All these causes the phone to go into extreme lag while the wallpaper does this. Anyone had similar experiences but solved it?
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda premium
I'm not sure I follow. Could you please explain what's happening in more detail? And what do you mean "recalibrating?"
I think he means its repositioning itself..
Mine used to do it after a restart it would be fine mine only does it now after a full battery drain, its a weird bug lol.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
Yes poor choice of words on my part. I certainly meant reposition. Its extremely irritaing and this problem has forced me to use alternative launchers like Apex though I will lose some great features as a result. Other than changing launchers theres is really nothing I can do. Might be a bug with LJ5 though.

settings -> application manager -> ALL -> SecWallpaperChooser -> Clear data
I had this too.
Hi that method does not work for me. Thanks anyway!
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda premium
I had this wallpaper moving thing on my note 2 (showed up some days after buying) that i changed for new one due to visual defects and the new one also did this. After clearing data to that apk and afterwards putting new wallpaper, no more moving. Maybe can try to clear other wallpaper apk data, if there is some, but I am pretty sure, that this is the right one

[Help][Solved] camera rotation bug in sgy..

Hello guys...I don't know if it's a bug or my phone is malfunctioning...but when I try to use camera with any external application like cymera, the preview screen (the screen which shows the live view before taking any picture) doesn't shows up in proper orientation...the screen is rotated by 90° .but the images are fine and after clicking capture button the images are normal like they should be...here are the screenshots
(Preview screen of stock camera and other camera apps like cymera respectively)
I'm currently on ussrv9 and no it's not the Rom issue for me...not working even with stock Rom
Has anyone else faced this bug? Also, please tell me if there are any working custom camera apps available for our sgy or it would be best if you can provide any fix to this bug...if it's with only me then I'm gonna go to service centre
Thanks in advance

[Q] Weird issue with camera orientation? HELP :(

My device is SM-N9005 running MI6 with MI7 baseband, with Lean Kernel.
I am having a weird issue where my camera app is rotated landscape, regardless of how my device is orientated. It is the same for camera zoom fx. However all other apps remain portrait?????

Just bought the note 3 from AT&T a few weeks ago and my camera started doing this. Both with stock app and camera zoom fx. The only way I can get it to straighten out is reboot the phone. Just clearing cache won't do it. Searched the Web and can't find a fix. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I think the fix was a different kernel or ROM.
Try changing to stock kernel... if that doesn't fix it, flash a stock ROM.

These issues date back to the very first Android versions. A reboot is usually the only solution. You can try a wipe or reflash, but they're not guaranteed to solve the problem.
