Motorola T815 Bluetooth GPS transmitter

I dont know if I can sell theses but figured I would try:
Ok what I have here are 2 Motorola T815 GPS transmitters. They are pretty neat little units. What you do is charge up the little GPS transmitter and then it connects to your phone via bluetooth and it acts just like a gps unit. It states it will only work for Windows Mobile phones, but almost all of the newer Motorola phones will work with this. Also this comes with a 2 gig micro SD card with a SD adapter preloaded with all the maps (1 gig of data and 1 gig of free space) so no need for your phone to be connected to the internet all the time. I am asking $100 obo for each unit. WELL below the retail. 1 box was opened to show contents and the other is still factory sealed.

3.2 update arrives for Xoom 3G Asia

Motorola Support Forums had indicated that the 3.2 update will arrive middle of November and it finally arrived today for users in Asia I suppose. I missed out reading the release notes but the changes seem to be consistent with the following (these are from the release notes for European Wi-Fi only 3.2 update):
Improved Compatibility Mode - Ability to switch to double pixel mode for selected
applications. When selected, application sub-windows and drop down menus are
also doubled. In addition, pixel doubling settings are saved for each application.
• Rotation Acceleration - Screen rotates faster when tablet is rotated.
• Docking support – automatically detect when device is docked and launch an
application or docking profile.
• QuickOffice™ - full version (HD) - Provides support for editing of Microsoft® Office files and viewing of pdf files.
• MOTOPRINT - A printing application for your MOTOROLA XOOM. This
application allows you to print content from your tablet to your printer over WiFi.
You can print most types of content, including pictures, directly from your tablet.
• Enhanced VPN support
• Support for additional languages and more keyboard layouts
• Citrix™ client
• 3LM™ enablers for remote management of the MOTOROLA XOOM devices in a
corporate environment
I am sure it comes with a lot of other improvements as well since the videos appear to be rendering better and the tablet overall feels snappier.
If in Asia, hit "System Updates" now.
Is this update supporting fully enabled SD card or the SD card is read only. in the forums I have read that 3.2 update is making SD Card read only, you can write using external PC connect only.
I am able to move files from internal storage to the SD card, using the stock "Files" app. Guess that makes it both read/write.

Cell Broadcast (Emergency Message Service) Library/Source

Dear All,
Requirement:
Network Provider broadcasts discount plans and area name on channel 50 of Cell Broadcast Service which is also known as Cell Info Display in Nokia phones. Android didn't had this option in CM9 / ICS, but some GB ROMs did had Cell Broadcast option in SMS Message Settings. However, in Jelly Bean, Cell Broadcast is included and can be accessed from System Settings -> Wireless and Networks menu. Thus, I'm trying to find library to integrate this feature in Epinter's CM10 ROM. (only if Epinder doesn't have any problems with it)
Already have:
Cell Broadcast Receiver apk
http://d-h.st/vFB
This application is accessed via Settings Menu.

What's required:
Installing above apk didn't bring up the Cell Broadcast option in wireless and networks menu as its libs are not included in the build. Having the libs that would allow me to access this feature can help. Or if I can access the application and configure it via Terminal would be good enough.
Also, I'm not sure whether I can enable channel 50 using above application. Some input can always help.
Thanks developers and fellow members for your efforts!!
Update:
[ROM][JB][4.1.2]AOKP for Atrix 10/17/2012
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1755836
Above mentioned ROM contains CellBroadcastReceiver.apk in /system/app folder, still Cell Broadcast setting is not available in any settings menu.
Fellow member said this option was on fryo, can anyone confirm?
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1594374
The only network in the UK that supports Cell Broadcast is Vodafone, and they only display the current cell identity...
I'm assuming it's more popular elsewhere
Yeah, in some places they show discount on call which comes really handy
I tried signed_froyo_atrix_kyler084.zip http://www.mediafire.com/?aqzowdn8w5z2osu and CellBroadcast works like a charm. I can see the message in the notification bar. Now have to figure out how can I have this in CM10 or ICS.

WiFi Direct with S3 works...

So, I'm one of the many who have a limited data plan so uploading my backups and stuff to the cloud has never been an option as data adds up quick.
I've see a lot of people not able to get WiFi direct to work so today I decided to give it a try. Its not as cut and dry as a S3 to S3 WiFi direct, but using WiFi direct with a little help with ES file Explorer is completely possible.
Remember, this is using WiFi direct, there is no routers or other devices other than my N7 and S3.
In this example, I'm going to transfer a 158 MB file.

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So, the first thing I did was open up the WiFi settings on both devices and went to WiFi Direct. I also renamed both devices to better ID them.
Once renamed, you can select from either device to connect. I just selected my S3 from the N7 device. The S3 in prompts for conformation.
The devices will display connected.
Now that you are connected, you are going to go to the device that you want to SEND FROM and open up ES file explorer. Go right to the menu and scroll down to remote settings.
Check "remote manage" and copy down that ftp address in full. If you close ES and have the close on exit check, you will lose the connection so do as you please with that settings. You can also set a password if you plan on doing this on the LAN level too.
Now, go to the receiving device. I had issues with chrome, but Firefox works fine. Plug in that ftp: //xxx.xxx.xx.xx:xxxx/ and hit go
Now you should get your sending devices directory. Have fun, transfer away.
ES explorer has settings to allow allow access to root if you are rooted so if you are enabled, be careful. Im not responsible for you messing with wrong files and crap.
Here is my transfer, notice the time from finish to complete. It took about 30 seconds.
This can be done from either device depending on what direction a file needs to go. You can save your FTP settings and bookmark too for easy access in the future.
You can use FTP on you WiFi at home. Passwords are recommended as your device will be available on the home network.
This is the only easy way I was able to get WiFi direct to work. Enjoy.

No Cell Service when using WIFI

So let me explain what I'm trying to do. I am trying to connect to a Barco Clickshare (CSE-200) via wifi using the clickshare app and then open chrome and go to a website.
The Clickshare for those that don't know is a wireless content sharing device for meeting rooms. It's like a wireless access point but with no internet. You connect to it on your phone by connecting to its wifi SSID and password and then use the clickshare app to share content from your phone to a TV or whatever display the clickshare access point is connected to.
So when I connect to the clickshare wifi (which has no internet) I am no longer able to go to a website or use internet. My phone doesn't seem to be able to use my LTE service while the wifi is on. I talked to a guy at Barco and he said thats not normal. My LTE service should still be usable. My coworker who has the iPhone 6 is able to connect to the clickshare wifi and still use the internet on his phone from his LTE service.
I should note I am using the MSL/dun trick for hotspot.
Any ideas? Thanks!
Enable developer mode by tapping the build number in the about menu a bunch of times, then go to the new developer options menu at the bottom of the settings screen and turn on the keep mobile data turned on setting.
It's still possible that in the routing table on the phone the cellular data will be associated with a higher cost, and therefore the data still won't go over it even though it's enabled, bit worth a try.

I did what you said pitcherj, but no luck. I do now have the LTE icon at the top above the cell bars which before I didn't, but still no internet. Anything else I could try? I did restart the phone as well.
Nope, no thoughts. Without root you can't recost the network interfaces AFAIK. Maybe someone else has an idea.
