Hi!
I'll be in USA between May 29 and Jun 8. Five days in NY (until Jun 3) and 5 days in Orlando (from Jun 4 on).
Is there any street store where I can buy a Nexus 4 without any contracts?
It seems that T-Mobile is selling the phone in this conditions on some selected stores.
Best buy is selling only with contract, as long as I could check.
Anybody who has useful info can help me, please?

Only place I can think of in NYC would be Mobilecityonline. But they might charge an arm and a leg for it.

They are selling the unlocked version for about US$470. It's not so different from T-Mobile, which are selling the unlocked one for about US$ 457
UPDATE: I just realized that Best Buy sells the unlocked one (or Unactivated as they say) for about US$600!!! This is an arm and a leg!

I am not sure if its possible for you, but the cheapest and easiest way out is to preorder and get it delivered where ever u are going stay. All other options would definitely be expensive.

The problem is to be sure that the product will be delivered exact in the "window time" when I'll be there. I know the hotels where I'll be, but I'm not sure about the shipping times.
Do you have any experience about this? How many days Google Play Store takes to ship to NYC or Orlando from the purchase date?
I'm guessing you will stay around the Disney/international drive area? I'd offer to have it shipped to my place and just drop off wherever you are at but my schedule is pretty hectic during the summer.
I'll pm you a site where you can probably strike a deal with somebody more trustworthy in the Orlando area... That's IF you feel comfortable...

I ordered two phones in April in NYC and both were shipped and received within a week of order.
Michigan Walmart stores are supposed to start carrying them may 1 but haven't looked yet to see if the actually there

I'm pretty sure you can only buy a Nexus 4 from a T-Mobile store, but they price it much higher than what Google sells it for (Around $500)

You can go to Staples, Office Max or Best Buy to buy the New Nexus 7 tablet. It's the wifi model so no contracts.

Anyone from Singapore spotted this baby in any of the shops yet?
I know it's yet to be officially released but I remember seeing the galaxy nexus in sim lim and some random neighborhood hp shop at least 3 weeks before actual release date... plan to go scout for this this weekend to try and check out the pricing for buying off the shelves here...

Yeah. You're the lucky one. Sigh. I don't think so i could get from playstore as planned. Since it has to be bought using a US credit card. Oh well. Just have to check the price here when its launched here. Worse comes to worst at least I'll get at least a one year warranty for that kinda markup price

I'm sure it will be very expensive. If Europe is anything to go by , LG will sell it with a RRP of SG$900+ (€599 in EU, even though it's only €299 in the Play store).
I think I'll be getting mine from Aussie Play store when I'm there in December. Might order 2 and sell one if I can profit from it.

I have a 12 hour flight on the 14th (need this to kill some time). It would be awesome if I could pick this up at a retail store on the 13th....
It will be sold at Walmart. But I doubt it will be available for the day of.
The Nexus 7 was being sold off store shelves a week before I got mine from Google that was pre-ordered on day one of the release.I will be buying from a store this time if for no other reason than quick replacement or return if things don't work out.I will have to check with the local Office Depot or Wally world and see if they have dates on there supple.
At Walmart the same day, but only the 32 GB version.
Hopefully Gamestop get both versions :/

I just got one. On GPlay its 350+15 shipping+tax. Honestly, after the N7 issues I would rather not purchase through Google. I just hope this thing gets here before It's availible on GPlay.

6 days isn't that bad for daily steals. I bought my galaxy nexus from them earlier this year and it took easily two to three weeks for it to ship and don't expect to hear anything from them during that time. They aren't known for prompt customer service but if you can deal with that you can get some good deals.

I previously bought a gnex from them & it took about a week for them to ship it & about 3-5 days to get it.
I purchased a nexus 4 from them (I had an existing credit from them, so the price difference from the play store wasn't bad). I am pleased/surprised to say that I got an email saying they have shipped mine. They ship from nj & I am in ny, so I should be getting it tomorrow. Pretty psyched.

Actually looking for some Germans, or someone familiar with the electronic equipment stores in Germany/Berlin. I'm going to Berlin right before Christmas, and I was wondering if it was possible to get the Nexus 4 in one of the electronic equipment stores without a contract?
It doesn't have to be as cheap as from the Play Store, since it'll most likely still be much cheaper than in Denmark.
If yes, which ones and where do I find them?

The price for 16 GB will be approximately 400 EUR.
Due to the high demand I doubt you will be able to buy one right before Christmas.
