[Q] Same size worldwide? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Just wanted to make sure the S4 is like the S3 and no matter the carrier or international they are all the same size?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium

That is correct. Accessories and such won't be an issue, like the S3.

Which is awesome.
I was on the AT&T LG Optimus G before this, and it was a slightly different size than all other optimus g's. Made getting accessories impossible.

Do not worry about that. It is not the size but how you use it that matters.
Sorry, I just had to. :silly:

3G and Talk

Hello,
Just wondering if there is anyway to get 3G and voice at the same time? I know this is do able over 4G but just wondering if it's available over 3G like the GS3 can. Thanks!

Short answer. No.

On the Sprint GS4, no only on WiFi or LTE.

Buy an Evo 4G LTE on Ebay and activate it. For some reason Samsung didn't include SVDO in the S4.

Lol. I have an EVO LTE and a Galaxy S3. No need to go back to those. NV is going on where I live so I'm not to worried. Was just wondering if it was something the devs here could change.

Its not possible to change it since its a physical thing on the phone. Not software.

Okay. I never knew it was a physical thing within the phone. That's good to know though. Seems like Samsung or Sprint would have included this.

Other carriers do, not Sprint. Probably because their network is so terrible.

1337 vs 1337m vs 19500 vs 19505

What's the difference between all these difference ones?

That helped some thanks, but it didn't list the model number so I didn't know what was was, especially the difference between i337 and i337m

M is the Canadian version. It does not have a locked boot loader. Other than that it's essentially the same as the i337
What about the 19500 and 19505?

International versions. 505 has lte, 500 doesn't. You could have gotten that in the Google search.

LG g2 rom

Is there any way that we can port the lg g2 ROM onto the galaxy s4 when it comes out? Just wondering.. I'm kindve a noob..
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium
Agree with you, the look of LG G2 rom is much better compared GS4.
Hope some one can port LG G2 ROM to Galaxy S4.:good:
Anything is possible, but I wouldn't count on it.

It should be possible. Both Korean companies and they also ported the Sense ROM to us so lol
It is possible but very unlikely.
Look at the sense port it's not ready to be a daily driver yet. Sense is far more popular. Also both sammy and lg being korean companies means absolutely nothing.

Just get a g2 launcher and wallpaper and call it a day it won't happen ever. To many differences of the two phones. The htc one and the s4 have the same snapdragon 600 minus the clock speed.

Trading my S4 for LG Optimus G Pro?

I'm going to trade it for LG Optimus G Pro tomorrow. Is that a good trade?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Depends on if you like a larger screen. I did exactly that, and then switched to a s4 active, and I actually miss it. It is a super fast and has no lag at all. It also has wireless charging which was amazing.

I just switched today. I have no regrets save one...Roms

How much free space do you have on it? I know the s4 says 16g but really only 9 gigs due to all the other add-ons

Sorry man we got just sense ports for now
Why would you want an s5 port? Slap cloudypro 2 rom on your g2 and your set. Thats what i run and check it out next to a s5. G2 4.4 vs S5: http://youtu.be/bJBOnHtuK9k

I used Galaxy S I and SIII and i flashed every custom Rom for these phones. Right now I use LG G2. In my opinion LG's android is better than Samsungs. There is not any single Samsung application i want it to be in LG.
Besides the camera, which is able to be on aosp, the rest of the OS isn't great. I'm already running Mahdi Rom, think it might be fun to mess with the new S5 is with the g2s hardware.

This post was to see about the potential of being able to bring a port over, not asking if like the phone more.....

Yes nothing is impossible though i dont think our devs will waste time porting a sammy rom. I'm a sammy fan before though.
