Stopping Vibrate When Wi-Fi Is Turned On

I was wondering if anyone knew a registry tweak that would STOP the phone from vibrating (3-4 vibrates ANNOY me ) when you turn the Wi-Fi switch on, on the side of the phone? Thnx
mine doesn't do that... strange?
It's only when the phone is on "vibrate"
maybe there's a noise that you have set to play when wifi is switched, and since you're on vibe, it will vibrate instead.
As I said, I don't have this problem, and neither does anyone I know who has this device.
Then again, we're all professional types who turn off the keytones and sliding sounds right away. Maybe that has to do with it.
is vibrating when you turn the wrieless on
or is it when it finds a wireless ap
I would try in your sounds and notificatins goto notifications
in the selection list select "wireless network detected", make sure the vibrate button is not ticked
Yeah, I don't know what you have set up because mine definitely doesn't do that, even when the phone is on vibrate.

Some bugs/quirks

Hi all,
I absolutely love the Note 4, and am so chuffed with it. Yet, having said that, there are a few annoyances that I don't have the knowledge (apparently) to get around. Could someone assist?
1) After the phone has been on silent, and I bring it back to normal (not vibrate, not silent, normal ringing mode) by long-pressing the power, and then selecting the speaker icon that represents normal sound mode, I will often find that I missed calls and notifications, because, apparently, it does not bring the system volume back up all the way, but only about 20% or so. I never selected to do something like this, it just does this. Interesting thing: my S3 used to do the same...I just never asked about that. Switched to a Note 2 soon.
2) When an input field appears on the Note 4, you have the option of hovering the pen over it, at which point a small icon appears allowing you to immediately activate pen input into that field. It then also opens a little window where you can write, and it is converted to typed text. GREAT feature, in fact, to me, an AMAZING feature. Yet, it appears that whenever I do this in a facebook post or update, then, even though all the other functionalities of the post work correctly (pic uploads that I wanted, tags work for people, location is correctly done), the actual text that I typed, EVEN THOUGH IT SHOWS IN THE POST BEFORE UPLOAD, is never shown after posting. If I use the keyboard to type, the text shows on facebook after posting, but, that direct pen input - EVEN THOUGH IT DOES SHOW IN MY POST PREVIEW, JUST BEFORE CLICKING THE POST BUTTON, it never shows in the posts. THIS is quite IRRITATING!!!
3) Most folks know about the soft ringtone which jumps louder. Any solution to this!? And no, I'm not talking about the gentle alarms setting where an alarm starts softly and goes louder. I'm talking about the soft ring, that suddenly goes loud. This is influencing one of my exercise apps. The app uses voice to let me know when to move to a next round of exercise (HIIT), and, every time it starts speaking, I cannot hear the first few words (and they are relevant, as they are counting round, etc). On the S3 this wasn't a problem, and neither on the Note 2
4) Often the system sounds (at random) are soft, then loud. Say I'm doing things on the phone, and it is making the "droplet" sound, suddenly, one of them will be soft, while the others are all loud.

[Q] My Phone Keeps Beeping

I just recently bought my Note 4, and have to say it is the single best phone I have ever owned lol. I am still trying to learn about it. I mean it is Rooted and I do not even know what that means LOL
Anyways the reason I joined is because I need help. This has been happen off and on, my phone keeps beeping every time I shake my phone. I did not know you can shake the phone and even have it do anything (I need to really learn more about my phone haha). When I am out walking the beep drives me bonkers! It will even bleep during the start of a phone call. I recorded the sound and really hope that I can upload it.
Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide. I am sure it is just something simple, but I am not seeing it
Hi there,
A simple Google search brings me here:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s4/282858-2-tone-beep-sound-constantly-playing.html
Did you try turning off NFC to see if this causes the problem?
(This doesn't seem to happen on my handset when turned on btw.)
Else turn off Orientation Lock maybe?
(Seeing the fact you say it occurs more when you move or shake your handset.)
Question: Does the sound also play if the profile is on silent mode?
Kind regards, Stefan.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question
I came across that same thread when I was searching for answers before coming here. It did not find it relevant because my NFC is not on.
I was able to kind of see a screen before silly me accidentally hit the back button. I did not see the name of the app, but it was a white background with a picture of an orange mic and switch on the bottom in orange that says sonar. There was probably other things on the page but that is all I saw for the split second I saw the screen. Then it is after it started doing the beeping. When I look at my apps the only ones I have that have anything to do with my mic is S Voice, Voice Recorder and Voice Search, and not one of them are what I saw. The beeping I am hearing same kind of sound I would hear if I tap Voice Search, but that is not what is causing the beeps.
Hi again,
It does sound like the Voice Search beep, but it seems different.
You could try to disable double tap home for Svoice but I doubt if it would work:
Double tap the home button to*open S Voice.
Press the menu button in the top right of the app.
Tap “Settings.”Uncheck “Open via the home key.”
Did you check the screen orientation lock yet?
I assume you have rebooted your handset right?
Kind regards, Stefan.
We are becoming fast friends! LOL
Yes it does sound the voice search, and it does go away after I reboot my phone, I would just really like to know what this is though so I can try to prevent it from happening or turn it off when it does happen.
Again, thank you so much for caring enough to try and help me.
An other thing that ia worth mentioning is under:
Accessibility these is: direct acces.
When enabled it enables certain user set options by 3x pressing the home button.
But I could not find any option that enabled this beeping.
It could very well be a third party app causing it.
Anyways good luck, maybe anyone else has some input.
Kind regards, Stefan.
You might try safe mode to see if an app is causing it. It will temporarily disable all non-system apps. See if that fixes it. If so, it is an app you installed. m.androidcentral (I can't post links yet so change this to a '.') com/galaxy-note-4-safe-mode

Do Not Disturb mode....does still disturb?!

I've put Do Not Disturb mode on when I'm driving, so that I don't get disturbed by notifications (e.gm whatsapp, Facebook, messages) popping up in bubbles at the top of the screen.
It's simply doesn't work - they still pop up! (albeit it doesn't vibrate).
I've selected the "hide visual notifications" option (see screenshot) but it doesn't work either way.
Anyone else have this issue? Any potential solutions?
Mine still give audible notifications in the night when it should be on do not disturb!
I have a much larger issue. My Galaxy S8+, I will turn on the setting to keep alarms on, one night it will work and the next night it won't so my alarm never goes off in the morning. Therefore I stopped using DND, turned all the setting to off even deleted the days it will operate to none and the setting STILL comes on every night at 1030. I go in to check my settings and they are all back on to the day before. Android is starting to get pretty poor with its updates.
if your display is on and in an app while in dnd calls will still come through if youre display is off they will not come through if youre display is on but not in an app the calls will not come through. No work around i can find as of now
This is so typically Samsung.. They finally fixed it, but only when the screen is off and when on the home screen
Ugh.. My Do Don't Disturb is dysfunctional.
If I'm listening to an audio book, watching Netflix or jamming to my tunes and someone calls what ever I'm listening to/watching pauses while the phone silently rings that's B.S. DND means exactly that DND. All calls should go straight to VM. when DND mode is on. Otherwise I can just turn the darn ringer off. DND is worthless.
For me works well. Only when the screen is off, like iPhone. Have you make the settings propperly? Because you can put if you want that calls don't show on screen.
A similar issue was fixed by hard-reset. Have you tried a factory reset? Factory reset stepMod Edit
Is there still no fix to this?
It seems like a pretty important malfunction and is super frustrating every night.
Anyone manage to get it working properly using Tasker?
On my S4, then S6 Edge I had a Tasker profile to turn on Do Not Disturb automatically when I plug my phone in to charge at night, and it worked a treat.
Not with the S8, no matter what I try, it still vibrates and activates the LED notification, even though it is showing as Do Not Disturb mode on, and in the settings I have ticked all the options to hide notifications when the screen is on, and off, and set no exceptions, or alarms only with the same result.
Any ideas?

Turning off notifications

I am trying to turn off notifications, but there are always two that will re-appear.
The first one is the truly brilliant "SD.Card inserted"... as it has been inserted by me from day one. But I still cannot find a way to turn it off.
The other nuisance is the "Google Play Store", which is clicked "off" in the notification saettings, yet still appears, telling me that "Music Folder Player" will not work, without it. Which is of course not true?
Is there a way to really turn off notification like those two?
Thank You
So, there is actually no one reading Asus Zenfone threads, who has noticed that problem ????
