I won't. This is already a kick ass phone, I won't bother updating for a while UNLESS it has a 4.8" screen, and a 2200 mah battery already in it
IF iPhone 5 can do better than SGS II first.

Ridiculous. Plethora of problems with the S2, yet they're already planning on the S3? Screw these guys.
As much as I hate Apple, as least when they release a product, it usually works right.

Well, I've got tons. 3G signal hanging, Pixelated pictures, low quality camera......and judging by the lack of responses (in the Q & A Forum), people have no idea whats up.
yep love my SG2, gave the wife the iphone 4, that way I was allowed to get it...lol

Put me on that list too.
No problems at all.
If the S3 comes I will sell the S2 and buy the S3.
Simple is that.
If any of you guys are Galaxy experts, I beg of you to take a look at this thread, check out my post toward the bottom, and tell me if you have any idea why things are the way they are.....

Iphone4 could not even hold a call when it was first released

What has this got to do with the Galaxy S3.
You are trying to hi-jack another thread when you have been advised to take back your faulty phone in a previous thread.
As stated, others do not have this problem.
i dont think they will release GS3 to compete whit iphone 5... Come on whats the point? GS2 alredy beats iPad 2 browsing benchmark so whats the point off GS3?
Just Marketing guys. I bet that even if sumtin is improved it is just as minot as it can be. Sgs2 is Top notch!

Also, SGS II was released on May(in Europe), i dont think they would released SGS III only 5 months later unless its not really the SGS III but a SGS I9102 or SGS I9103 or something like that which would be the same SGS II but with some selected less features to decrease its price, as happened with the SGS and their SGS I9001, I9003 and SCL...
Not to mention that i thought the released of the SGS 3 was announced to 2012(one reason, may be to analyzed Iphone's 5 new features and improve them on the SGS3)...even though they obviously may have changed their mind...
i9103 was already launched, it's the SGS2 with the NVIDIA Tegra processor instead of the Samsung's Exynos of the i9100. The S3 should be i9200.

Quick question if you don't mind:
"If you root the note 2, do you lose any of the functionality of the S-pen?"
Thanks in advance.

Just got this tab(wifi) on 11/23, i thought the development community would be a little more populated for wat seems to be a great tab. and the WiFi only version seems to have a little less development than the radio version. Like I said I just got the tab so maybe I have to scan the forum a little more/better, I'm also coming from the galaxy tab 10.1 which had great development. Wat are your thoughts Op? any advise on roms/tweaks would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, I came from the Asus Transformer.. so this tablet seems like it's a lot less populated. It's easy to understand (but frustrating because this tablet is so awesome..) why there aren't too many developers for it. Damn the timing of the Nexus 10!
Does anyone known if they are actually working on cm10.1 for us?

[Q] No google edition rom for I9500

No. The i9500 is Exynos based. The Google Play Editions are based on the i9505 Snapdragon 600 model.

Blame samsung for not releasing the Exynos sources. I'm stuck with i9500 myself.
Samsung ftw ! THE s4 is my last samsung phone, I was waiting for the note 3 as well however the same s3 note 2 pattern is emerging, so no thanks, selling both n2 and s4. Still dunno which phone I should get

Well, that's a new one. I thought most people here bought the i9500 because it was the only one sold in their countries, but I guess some actually willingly expose themselves to the utter torture of owning an exynos device, knowing the low dev support it has and will continue to have.
Porting something from a Qcomm device to exynos won't be easy, if possible at all. You'll have to wait until CM publishes a nightly for the i9500........whenever that happens....

Yes this is really annoying to be forced to buy the model that Samsung decides to sell in each country. But geeks can always buy the version they want...if they really want ! Most of us have friends in another countries or know people who travel a lot. However, in this case, we cannot benefit from plans nor warranties...

Note: I am not any fan of some Google "bloatware" that are also present in there rom!

Even if it is expensive, the price on the 9505 will drop when the 9506 comes out so either way it makes sense to wait a few weeks if you can.
Oh and contrary to some opinions the 9505 will not suddenly turn into a crawling pile of crap just because the 9506 is available. It will still be one of the most powerful phones on the market.
