Stickmount

I don't known if what I am trying to do is either not right or I don't know how to do it, I could not find a micro USB otg, so instead I bought a flash drive and a double female ended USB adapter and have my n7 cable on the other end to the tablet. Can this work or does it only work with a micro USB both adapter?

Usb otg, cables are easy to find.... Your solution won't work because there's nothing to trigger host mode

Are you using an OTG cable to connect the USB devices?

Only for full access to pendrives. Mouse and keyboard should work if correct otg cable is used.

Slimport and connectivity.

Hey guys, I do not own a Nexus 4 (yet), but before I buy I would like to throw out a scenario and see how realistic it is. I have researched the Slimport adapter and was wondering, could I connect a Nexus 4 to an HD TV (via Slimport adapter), connect a USB hub to the microUSB port on the adapter (via OTG cable), and connect USB sticks or controllers for games from the USB hub, and charge the phone wirelessly from the charging hub? Thanks in advance for everyone's insight.

I'm sorry guys, I know I ask much of your knowledge.

Well, did more research, looks like Nexus 4 doesn't have the 5v out that would be required to support USB.host its a hardware issue.

USB + Charging

Hi everyone.
I use my usb otg cable quite alot, especially connecting a mass storage, seeing as the memory is quite limited on s4.
Has anyone managed to create a usb otg cable that allows the device to charge at the same time?
Anyone??

Yeah but it doesn't work without an external power source so these usb flash drives are quite useless for our Nexus 4...

I don't know if anyone else shares this opinion with me but sometimes I would rather have an externally powered OTG cable so that my already-quickly-draining battery doesn't deplete any more. But yes, the option should be available to those who prefer it.
