Bluetooth wont turn on - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I am on stock 4.2.2 non rooted
Bluetooth doesnot turns on for me..but after doing a reboot it starts
Edited (Possible Cause
I had Snapdragon Battery Guru installed and i uninstalled it and now bluetooth is fine..does not require a reboot anymore..

Same here...
Google and you will see your not the only one.
Reboot is the only solution at the moment.

Had the same issue, but only once. Also solved that by doing a reboot. It didn't happen again (until now).
If anybody knows the reason, would be great.

[Q] Crashing / rebooting on wifi connect after ICS update

Installed ICS fine using Acer_AV041_A500_1.031.00_WW_GEN1.zip from here: http://vache-android.com/v1/index.php?site=files&file=151 , renamed to update.zip, stick it on the root of the SD and powered up with vol down.
Have struck an issue though: following the update my a500 reboots back to the android boot animation as soon as it has established a wifi connection. As long as I leave wifi turned off it runs fine. I don't think it's related to this particular package though, a bit of googling has revealed others who updated using the OTA and encountered the same issue. The only way they've found to resolve it is a factory reset. Ugh!
Anyone have any brighter ideas before I take the plunge and spend the rest of the weekend downloading apps and re-configuring my tab?
I am having the exact same problem. Did the upgrade the the update.zip that was released and worked fine for others. Mine runs fine until wifi is turned on, then it reboots. I am only able to stop the reboots is by turning off wifi, obviously not suitable for. Anyone find a solution yet? Glad to see I am not the Lone Stranger here.
+1 here... strange issue. Got the OTA btw.

[Q] Bluetooth turns off 4.4.2

Any one experiencing any problems with Bluetooth on 4.4.2?
The problem I am having is that I can't turn on my Bluetooth without rebooting the phone and when I do reboot the phone and turn on the bluetooth it turns off by itself even if something is connected to it
I side loaded 4.4.2 to my nexus 4 with 4.4.1 using the 4.4.1 to 4.4.2 update image.
I hadn't had any problems with the previous releases 4.4 (16O or 16S) or 4.4.1.

Ive got the same problem. My nexus has never been rooted. i had to go back to 4,4 to get it to work.
I have a Bluetooth-related problem, in that the music player launches any time a Bluetooth device connects. Even my smartwatch, which doesn't have any audio functions. I guess I should try wiping the caches and see if that helps. That's the only problem I've noticed. Haven't had any trouble with Bluetooth disconnecting while using it.
I have the same issues with my bluetooth connectivity.
Yesterday I updated my rooted 4.4 16S via OTA Update to 4.4.2 KOT49H and bluetooth worked just fine. But today it switched itself off and wouldn't let me turn it on again unless I rebooted the device.
Will keep an eye on that and if it isn't bearable, I will have to go back to 4.4
The same problem. BT drops connection or swiched off by itself and then impossible to turn it on without reboot.
Fixed it by flashing old radio from 4.4. Now testing. So far no issues.

Wifi turning on...forever

I have had this problem for..6 months (?) now.
During this period I did not use my rooted (and SlimKat flashed) device, but yesterday I did and it worked, for one day.
Then it - abruptly, without any sign or warning - software rebooted itself (I was browsing) and voilĂ , wifi turning on-problem..again.
Anyone here who can help me ?
I would really appreciate any help!
Really..
any
help
You could be more specific about the "wifi turning on-problem".
Anyway, it's most likely a software issue, either rom or kernel. Flash the latest stock image on your N7 and test it for a few days.

Bluetooth won't stay turned on

Just upgraded to the latest snapshot of Cyanogen and noticed that the Bluetooth will work fine when first booting, but something causes it to turn off by itself and when this happens, it can't be turned back on until reboot. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution to it? I tried clearing the cache and it didn't help.
Edit: I'm running an i9505
Every ROM has some Bluetooth problems. I don't know if there is any solution for this particular problem, but you could try the Optimized CM13 ROM.
It had pretty stable Bluetooth.

Bluetooth keeps closing/crashing....

Hey everyone,
since some days I'm having a problem with my Bluetooth. I can only enable it whenever my device is started but after that it keeps crashing whenever I turn it off/on. Runnign magisk on Stock Rom (Feb Update). Is there a way to reinstall just the Bluetooth app ?
Me too facing same issue , was not facing this when device was not rooted
I can use bt on my phone for a while until it randomly turns off and then sometimes on again after 10 seconds or so.
It started about 2 months ago. I think I was on 8.0.0 with feb update. Updates for march/april failed to install. May update installed successfully and unrooted my phone but the problem still persists.
My Bluetooth keeps turning off by itself, I don't understand why. I am on stock no root. I tried safe boot and it seems to not have the problem. How can I find out if and which app might be causing it?
Have the same issue
I just setup bluetooth tethering and all of a sudden app crashes. Stok 8.1.0 with July update
Anyone find a solution to this that doesn't involve rolling back updates?
Is it caused by root, or are non-root users getting it too?
Same issue, non root...
