[Kernel][JellyBean][Android 4.2.2] 3.0.31 - Galaxy Ace S5830 Android Development

I couldn't find the link so here I am, reposting the 3.0.31 Kernel for our Ace.

It's not the real 3.0 kernel.
It is only a modded 2.6 kernel to looks like the 3.0 one.
And if it is the real kernel you must post the sources.XDA rules!

Psyke and erikcas did research on that and its fakr..."devs" of that kernel changed only number to 3.0 and built kernel..so dont be so naive.

They should close this thread

Fake 3.0 kernel, close this thread asap. This was just a modification of the makefile to show the 3.0. Not true!
Thanks, biel.

Well guys, don't just start firing at him. Probably op didn't knew this. Just calm down.

We aer not firing at him, just explaning..
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app

Oh. Didn't know that. Anyways, even if its a real 3.x kernel, I got it off another post for some ROM. In that case, if I'm unable to find that thread (the thread being my source) how exactly am I supposed to state the sources? After all, entire reason for this thread is that I couldn't find the other one.

It's not XDA rules, it's GPL rules.

Thread closed link removed because op is not the developer for the kernel and no source. Also appears it is not what was stated to be.

It would be helpful if you could say which section he was supposed to post the request. I was under the impression that the "General" section is the right place for such questions/discussions.

This is the logcat from a earlier version, though very little has changed. Kernel is still being a beech.

No. Kernel have nothing to do with that error. It's probably because of incompatible libaudio.
BTW. Good luck with project...

You really don't need github or coding skills for porting roms
Building from source is what needs linux + coding + device/vendor tree basics + github skills
If you wanna build from source then their are many guides
I'll be syncing Xylon Sources this week maybe
