Hello again
You must have heard & maybe used SRS mod on our Optimus One, but might have backed off because of Bass distortion.
Well, this mod fixes it & works fantastic on our phone (tested on cm9).
Check the attachment for download.
Instructions-
1. Delete DSPManager.apk from system/app, libbundlewrapper.so & libcyanogen-dsp.so from system/lib/soundfx.
2. Boot to recovery, flash the zip.
3. Enjoy your music

Use viper, it's awesome and it's working withouth bugs on cm10.1

Hi, actually i can't delete the DSPManager.apk from the app folder. I tried with ES FileManager and ROOT Explorer. RootExplorer says that that file is read-only...
Any idea how i can delete it?

In Root Explorer, press the mount r/w button on the top.
r/o = Read only, r/w = Read write.
Do tell whether it works or not

WHAT DOES THIS ZIP INCLUDES??
-> Beats Audio
Atm there are only three ROM's for O1 in which beats audio works along with DSP manager and power amp doesn't FC..GTR, PERFECT PESO & MIUI GB.
All other zips on the forum conflicts with DSP..
With this zip u can experience deeper bass and clearer sound through beats audio without any fc
-> Camera FIX
Two fixes have been provided by umangleekh and deniso177. After close observation of both the fixes, I found out a better combo with working exposure and no delay in recording (Camcorder zoom doesn't work, well who needs to zoom at 480p )
-> Mic fix
When using non mic headphones, mic in the phone will work after flashing the zip.
THIS IS INTENDED FOR OFFICIAL CM7 ONLY

Good idea merging all fixes, maybe its better to just make one post with all the links to the Cm 7.2 fixes, and make it into a pinned topic, as we are flooding xda with attachments lol.

just tried out the db link and its fine.. file size is 5.4mb... check that

Really strange... just reflash the ROM wiping cache and dalvik cache..
could not pass this to CM9?

my phone is freezing after boot..
My phone froze after rebooting.
I removed my battery and re- reboot.
Its working fine (beats audio atleast), and I'm running it along with DSP.
So, yeah! Good job

As the latest nightly eliminated camera and mic bug, I provide u all beats no conflict stand alone package.. check that at first post..
Got fc in dspmanager but fixed by clearing data but get fc with camera I'm using adfads A8
Edit: gonna try standalone beats audio zip and see how it works......not working getting fc on dspmanager

All apps in that zip are working except music.apk it's giving fc . Maybe you can do something about that or another 4x files

From my understanding the music app doesn't support the resolution of our device .it needs to be recompiled (resized) as per our screen resolution.
For me didn't force close but, the app shows an error while reading the sd card.

Hello, I'm new in the forum but i have a little problem when i istall a CM 10.1 the equalizer in google play music(defaut) is replace by DSP but i prefer the equalizer of google do you have ideas ?? Becouse when i remove DSP by Titanium backup or root explorer there is more equalizer at all

I also changed Permissions. Changing anything inside it doesn't do anything until I start a new Track, then it works until I start DSPManager (weird).
How to properly install DSPManager on ParanoidAndroid?

There is a way to get this working. I have DSP fully working on AOSPA (Paranoid Android), though I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post how I did it as the CM Developers may not want DSP to be ported to other roms..
I believe is open sourced. Just cite where you got your ibfo

whut? why'd they do that. :laugh: pa's got no interest taking it thats why its not in there, but you can sure help out a fella when he personally wants to flash it on this and that rom.

Yeah, but no dynamic range compression on viper4android which makes DSP manager has more balance sounds. You can hear more subtle detail on a background sounds that others could not achieve without compressor.

I installed a ROM which came with Viper. I installed the driver as battery saver and high performance. I installed it as a user app and a system app. It still does not function at all. I tried compatibility mode and normal as well.
How do I get it to work?
I have same issue mine will work for a minute or two but then stop working I've tried different roms different versions of viper4android no luck
Yeah I'm running a ROM with it and having issues. Mine is that when the screen is off my music will skip or pause for just a second. Its real annoying I've tried it on headphones and the phone speaker with the same result.

They should stop including it in ROMs if it doesn't function.
I've frozen Sound Alive and it fixed everything for me. Give that a try if your rom still has it enabled.

You can either freeze it with Titanium Backup Pro or use a root explorer and rename the app soundalive.apk to soundalive.bak. It's located in the system/priv-app folder. On a side note have you all set ViperFX as the default music effects in settings/sound/music effects? Viper runs great for me. As for including it in the ROMs it needs to be made a data app and not a system app so it can be uninstalled if desired. I started to do this and hope other devs who include it in the ROM will follow suit.

You need to add MusicFX.apk back to the system/priv-app folder to get the Music Effects menu back and SoundAlive.apk if you want Sound Alive back in the Music Effects menu. Then reboot. Otherwise ViperFX will show up in the Music Effects menu once MusicFX is added back. You should also be more specific to witch ROM you are referring to, it might have been added back in a newer version.

Download this file and flash it using safestrap. Then open app and download drivers. Then restart go to settings/sounds/music effects and choose viper4android. Then hit enable in viper app this should work. This worked for me and I tried everything else everyone said with no luck
