Get the lastest apk here:
Adobe Flash Player
You will need to side load so "Settings->Security->Unknown sources" must be checked. Then use any file manager to select and install the download flash apk file.
As far as how smooth it works I've not noticed any issues.
Good luck.

So is it like on the galaxy s 2

No Android device that has come out in a while now has supported Flash. This isnt the fault of the OS or Google, it is because Adobe has shut down flash for mobile devices. The web just needs to move on past this dead format so we can stop with these incompatibility issues on new devices.

It is dead... Html5 is the new way... It will be gone within a couple years... Steve Jobs made that decision for us...

There are two ways to classify a format as dead. The first is if the company who controls and updates the format ends its life, which is the case for mobile devices and how I classify something as dead. The second is if the format is technically still alive but hasnt been updated for quite a while and no one or almost no one uses the format anymore.
The fact that flash is not supported on 100% of new devices, has not been supported on 90% of devices released in the past almost 2 years, and the products that do support it have reached EOL to me means the format is dead. People who design websites dont seem to have gotten the message yet though about their incompatibility with anything modern and all future devices. Hopefully they will get with the times soon.

Xperia play problems with gameloft

After gaming on any game that looks like it's putting use of the cpu and gpu will cause the phone to malfunction.... 15minutws or so into gaming the analogue pads on the gaming controls stops working. The power button becomes non responsive, vibrate stops working, wireless bluetooth and gps also stops. I need to restart the phone by pulling the battery... I'm wondering if anyone else has these issues... Using 2.3.2 from rogers

havent have that proplem but if i try to play star battalion it loads up and just crashes & closes everytime. already had one replaced because it did with more games but its just star battalion now, ive accepted it anyway dont look very good
Before I return the phone... Does anyone experience the problem where the power button doesn't work anymore?? Right now I'm not sure if it's only the cracked gameloft games that are causing the problem...

They were xperia play versions... Read my posts its the problem that occurs after 15minutes of playing the game. Gameloft would be able to read that thus site doesn't supply or encourage cracked games. Not all my games are cracked and I liked Rainbow 6,I was going to buy it of it wasn't for the problem

Honestly I really like sony ericsson... I always used them... But the s2 is a lot faster... I did the benchmark test last night and it was at 2100,the s2s are at 6000... Huge difference even though I don't know what the numbers mean... I'm just afraid that developers will abandon this phone..... Sony themselves arent really backing the phone.. They rather spend money on real consoles

The 6000+ scores in the SGS2 are bogus, they are the result of exploiting one of Quadrant's many bugs by dishonest ROM makers. Check the VillainROM thread in the SGS2 subforum for details. Aside of that, Quadrant doesn't register the dual core properly, and is not cery reliable in any case.
There are many reasons to acquire the GalaxyS II (dual core, the SAMOLED+ screen, TouchWiz for some people...),but Quadrant is not one of them.
Ah thanks for being so informative... I'm going to exchange it for another play tomorrow.

CM7 Adobe Flash Player FIX!

Do you get those annoying purple geometry shapes and glitches when you try to play flash videos on the Atrix with CM7 on certain (most) flash videos out there with the browser? Pretty much the only thing missing from Atrix CM7 was good flash player support.
I found a fix!
What you need:
-Flash Adobe Player 10.2
(http://androidadvices.com/download-the-latest-adobe-flash-player-10-2-for-android/)
Got mines here, but you can use another source if you don't trust it. Worked for me though.
-ROM Manager
1. Uninstall any Adobe Flash Player you have on currently on your Phone.
2. Install 10.2
3. Launch ROM Manager and fix permissions
4. Restart Phone
5. Enjoy high resolution and low resolutions without any glitches!
Hm, will try when I'm back to CM. I used to do the ol' flash 10.1 & then upgrade in the market, that used to work - most of the time..
Here's the apk, easier to install.
http://www.techpetals.com/download-adobe-flash-10.2-apk-for-android-gingerbread-froyo-3212

Let me know how that works out I've read mixed results using chainfire3d on the atrix.

This worked for me. Keep in mind you are exposing yourself to security vulnerabilities with outdated flash
That's why I wont be doing this even if its a valid fix.....hopefully a new cm7 beta comes out yhat fixes that issue as flash player isn't so important to me at the moment but it'd b nice to have it working......wish there's was some flashable zip fix or something........
I just turn off fullscreen, then turn it back on and that seems to fix it for me.

Lol didn't mean to thank you, twas a accident.
But anyways, Widows 8 for ARM uses a module called a Trusted Platform Module. Afaik, it is a hardware chip that basically locks the device to Widows 8. That is on top of the signed images and secure boot type of stuff.

Did nobody read what I wrote? This is not an issue of drivers/compatible hardware/supported hardware or anything like that.
This is an issue of Microsoft locking Windows 8 for ARM to certain tablets using secure boot implemented in the UEFI. They are also using TPMs to lock the tablets to Windows 8.

You don't want a windows 8 device. I have the HTC Titan and I've tried to live with a really limited app selection but it just doesn't work. There isn't even an official Pandora app, and a lot of others are glitchy as hell. The os is pretty bad ass but with JB being as smooth as it is wp7 loses a lot of appeal. My NGex arrives tomorrow.

Actually what your talking about locks windows to the surface tablet, not the other way around. You can easily emulate an insecure UEFI instance, after all that's how hackintoshes work

So, in retrospect, it could be possible to port Windows 8 RT to android devices?

Actually, I do want a Windows 8 device. I'm using a WP7.5 HD2 now. It's not as bad as you say, and as I don't use Pandora, it's not an issue for me. Also, most of the apps I use are not glitchy at all. What are you using?
I'm also not crazy about having that many apps on my device, so I'm totally fine with it. WP7 is a wonderful OS, please don't put it down just because you prefer something else.

[NEWS] BEWARE ! Android Smartphones Hack by APP called : FROST

Hack a smartphone via conventional routes, it is now a has been. Evidence, a team of researchers from Germany's University of Erlangen-Nurember found a method to access information stored in the memory (RAM) of an Android smartphone.
Since 2011, it is possible to encrypt data on Android, or both researchers found a way to slow encryption RAM thanks to the cold. Simply put the smartphone to a temperature below - 15 ° C, restart the phone, then enter the mode "fastboot". It is at this point comes into play software kit of two researchers to retrieve data remained in memory including decryption keys.
Tests were performed on the Galaxy Nexus and would have to hand over lists of contacts, pictures, passwords, Wi-Fi, calendar appointments, e-mails, etc..
No matter what type of technology we use to protect our mobile devices, the chances of getting hacked are still there.
For your information, the software in question is called Frost (Forensic Recovery of Scrambled Telephones).
Yep keep your eyes open for phone thieves extra vigilance for those carrying a freezer .

The freezer slows the elektrons so the memory holds on to its date 4-5 secs longer. So thats a total of 6-7 seconds. Enough time to extract.

You're absolutely right, and therefore, to SLOW everything down, you have the cooling system on PC, laptop, and even on the dam*** sony Gaystation, which is aimed on two things:
1. to accumulate dust inside;
2. to make the games "jumping" from frame to frame and to slow down any software.
And to have absolutely slow machine, most of the supecomputers, like Cray, are cooled down by the liquid nitrogen.
One final advise: please change newspaper you read from Smurfs Weekly to Gummi Bears, they are more techie.

This is useful for people that don't wish to rely on Google services like the play store. I myself am paranoid on a much smaller scale, but people who are into security and experience paranoia have much different setups than a typical Android user.
