[Q] Galaxy tab Camera help

I just got my tab and when ever i try to use the camera i cant see what i'm shooting.... it only displays the last picture i shot but when press the shutter button it shots fine and the display change to the thing i shot...
Video mode is the same.
I tried clear data for the Camera app and force close it but its the same...
can any one help?
btw i searched the forums but i didn't find anything sorry if there is a thread about this already

I have the same problem.
As a workaround, if you slide the camera/video slider, the Tab switches back to the camera setting, and the viewfinder is displayed.

I have had some other problems with my tab, like crashing apps all the time, I made a hardreset and now everything is fine. You may test it and report here.

i had the same problem with the camera app. sliding the camera/video slider doesn't help.
so i reboot the tab & its working fine now.

Damn now I'm in the boat, but I think I know why this happens, my camera doesnt show black screen or something, it shows the last viewed youtube video and if I switch to video cam, two youtube vids are shown.
So may its caused by the new youtube app?

I also have the problem its not cuz of youtube app, it happens with videos that you watch any video from any app.

i have the exact same problem..viewfinder gets stuck on the last frame of the last viewed video, and only a restart can fix it. Any news on a proper solution for this? I hate restarting the phone...

I had the problem on the camera of SGT as well 3 months back. However, I sent in my SGT for an upgrade of firmware due to other reasons (not because of the camera issue). And the problem has gone forever.
When I encountered this problem back then, I tried rebooting, clearing of memory (RAM), it goes off for a while, but it came right back, especially when you view YouTube. It is quite annoying.
So, my advice to you guys is to send it to Samsung for a firmware upgrade, it just takes less than an hour. By the way, my SGT is stock ROM.

Multi touch issue! (cant play games properly!

When i play games with latest update 3.0 sense and 2.3.5 when u press 1 button like
walk forward then u press turn left, it all stops. only 1 thing works at the time.
sorry 4 unclear english but multi touch used to be 4 fingers. now its 3 fingers?

UPDATE: Rebooting device fixed this problem! well it did not fix the cirkle locker thing but..games are good now...
UPDATE: The Bug is back! Wtf is going on? rebooting fixes it fow little while but is strikes back very fast! and agains 3 multitocuh on antutu tester.?
Fixed: Hard reset fixed this issue, Now all is fine!

If your still interested it was probably a custom lock screen. Like go locker or lockbot.

I am having this exact same issue (also reported at androidforums.com/desire-hd-support-troubleshooting/470923-issues-following-update-2-3-5-a.html) - and I don't have any custom lock screen installed

hard reset fixes all issues.

Nexus 7 2013 random freezing

Hi guys i got some freezing issues, anyone got an idea what could it be? i'm totally new to Android/tablets, so other then this info, i don't know what else to say, or explain the issue better, it just freezing for like 5 sec, and after it works normal, its random freezing. I hope anyone can help me, thanks.

Is it when you update or install apps?
This is normal, the OS can freeze for a few seconds during write operations.

What do you mean by normal it doesent happpen during instal, its random during surfing for example not conncted to installation imho.

No overclock at all, Kernel - 3.4.0-g9e52a21
Build number JSS15R all stock here. No custom ROM's..

I experience the same BS on an all stock WIFI model (2013.06 date code). Thought it was JB 4.3 teething pain but my Note 3 running 4.3 doesn't do it. Have mainly noticed it playing Great Big War Game where it'll randomly freeze the whole tablet once per launch for about 10 secs where nothing responds (show touch, home, switch task, etc.) then it'll either return to normal or prompt with dialog to wait or close. Have also had it happen in Modern Combat 3 along with the random app close that, again, doesn't affect Note 3. Haven't seen newer apps affected so perhaps it's a software issue and is fixable but it's irritating nevertheless considering it's a Nexus device and after correcting the touch issues with ts10 firmware update. Going to try reflashing the stock image to see if it fixes it otherwise looking forward to dumping this Asus for a Note 10.1 2014 LTE. My Note 10.1 2013 and Note 2 have been 100% solid with never a crash, hang or touch issues.

I had freezing problems when i was trying out the TS20 fix. TS10 seems to yield erratic behaviour randomly after each reboot.
Ever snce i've been testing the ones between TS10 and TS20. TS16 works better for me than TS18 - just being more responsive but both has no reboot issues. Am testing TS14 now and it seems better than TS16 but i needed more time to run it. None of the 14,16 and 18 has given me any kind of freeze after 24hrs of testing on multi-touch intensive apps.
You might wanna give 16 a try... i will be posting a more detailed update in sfhub's thread when i'm done with TS14 and TS12 testing.

However, I have recently tried to uninstall all apps (backing up with titanium backup) and installing back in bunches. With only the apps/games I use daily, the issue appears to have subsided, and I am trying to slowly bring apps back to see what the issue is.
Original post for consolidation purposes:
When it happens: Touch intensive Games (drastic, MMOJ, Dumb Ways) appears to be when the 3D GPU is NOT in use, netflix, when paused for a short while.
What happens:
1. Screen does not update display appears frozen
2. No response from nav bar icons
3. Power, volume buttons give no response.
4. If audio was playing right before it froze, it will keep playing as if nothing wrong.
5. If I hit the power button or the nav button then let it sit for a few minutes, suddenly it will react to every press I did in quick motion and go back to normal.
5a. I had show touches enabled, which showed a random number of the frozen touches working in quick succession when it "unfroze"
6. Sometimes requires a hard restart with no response.
When it started: Right before the Q update starting rolling out, did not have issues out of the box.
Purchase date and location: Right around the time of launch from best buy, 32 GB 2013 version
Troubleshooting steps: Safe mode (doesn't appear as often), full factory restore to the Q image when the R image started rolling out. Issues were gone for a short timeframe, then returned
Config information: Stock, latest firmware version, rooted via TWRP (latest version installed), and SU.
Observation: Appears to occur in select situations, and I believe I always have a GMAIL notification right when it un-freezes.
Let me know what you think and if it should be merged with a different topic, didn't see anything about it un-freezing when it was frozen or audio still playing.

The fix from the thread above helps with many touchscreen issues including freezes.
At least it helped with mine. I was experiencing freezes and so called "sticky touches" (like when you short tap on something and the device interprets it as a tap and hold).

My device came with pre-Q and went through three OTA updates. After reflashing with factory R image minus wiping data (remove -w from flash-all.bat file) and with ts10 all appear to be better so far. Modern Combat 3 still randomly closes but it could be Gameloft's crappy coding. Need to run it for a few more days to confirm but reflashing factory R image with ts10 offer the best experience so far.

Mine does too now in addition to the already random reboot. The freezing happens when I try to input text on the keyboard.

[Q] Music Player stops suddenly songs

I bought this week an xiaomi note 4g
Every time I turn on the music player after 2 songs it freez and for replay it should close force or sometimes restarting the phone
I installed a new player but it does not help
Someone did this happen? Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks

I am facing the same issue with my Xiaomi Note 3G. The issue is with memory card perhaps.

Try to format your memory card and see if problem persists...

is it that the music stop after the screen locked?

I tried to format the memory card that does not help
The music starts half a minute stops for a few seconds and repeat again stops
Then the phone got stuck and had to turn it back

Are u using any task manager(like clean master) which automatically stops the player while the screen is off...
Try to play music in safe mode and see if it works or not...

I'm asking that it happens to you when your screen is on or when phone is locked...?

This happens when we set pattern or any other lock type to our screen in redmi phones. I too faced this issue...put lock screen as none and then there won't b any issue with music
Edit: above thing dint work for long time. Looks like miui bug

It is not the problem with the memory card. The problem is with the MIUI Software. It forces closes apps for RAM Optimization when the screen is locked. It is a bug and has been reported to Xiaomi India Official. Hope that they will correct this issue in the next update !!

I was having same issue and was looking for a solution ..
And I knew something is kiling my music app ...
So here is the solution that worked for me ..
Go to security > power > change settings in there
Clean memory - never
Sleep - never
But it's seriously a bug which I hope would be fixed in next update ..

I own a Note 4g for a couple of months now and never had this issue.

I am using MI4i (32gb), when i use music player, it started normally with full sound but after 6-7 seconds volume automatically decreasing.

For the pause bug, there's a simple solution. Try it
Download kernel auditor from play store.
Go to cpu hotplug and disable mp decision.
Now go to cpu and enable two or more cores.
That's it.

I went to the settings_additional settings_developer settings_memory optimisation... And set optimisation to low and worked for me. Try for yourself maybe it will help.

About .309 update...

After i install .309 here i found the bugs is:
-wallpaper does not working once u want to change ur wallpaper
-when open camera the brightness will turn to max
-scrolling sometimes quite weird
-multitouch bugs
-typing will feel alittle bit delay or lag sometimes..?
-geature like double tap to wake and swipe to wake is not working(require to off the geature and on agn then working)
-recovery mode is missing in action...
-charging quite little slow..
does anyone has facing same problem to me? leave the comment...

My phone take 3 hours to charge fully from 10%. Seems to be same as previous version. Try restarting the phone before putting it for charging, it may help.

A) For me, changing wallpapers works like a charm. I haven't tried live wallpapers.

A) This is the norm for a lot of apps. One prominent example is Open Camera.
Q) scrolling sometimes quite weird
A) No problem here.
Q) multitouch bugs
A) I have this issue. When playing games like Batman (tell tale), PUBG, etc. the touch does not respond correctly.

A) If you're talking about the switch off menu, I can't confirm this. I have never had the reboot to recovery option.
Q) charging quite little slow..
A) Seems okay to me. 2.5-3 hours from 5-100% battery.
Another bug that I have encountered is that some apps do not work on WiFi connection. The ones I can confirm are Twitter, PhonePe and Amazon Music. They work just fine on mobile data.

I also am having multi touch issue. The screen flickers when I use both fingers to play PUBG Mobile. When will it be fixed ? Any method to fix it without root or harming future OTA updates ?

I have this issue too and I think this is considered a serious problem that Asus need to fix ASAP. A phone with multi-touch issue is really unusable especially when playing games which this phone is catered for. Is there an official Asus site that we file our complain?

google is the one that should fix it not asus
as every phoje that runs android 8.1 with security patch before june has that bug too
even a flagship phone has it
