What is happen when you start your tablet. If it still boot then you have to use an sdcard . On sdcard root create a folder dload an inside you need the corect firmware and a config file.( both of them are coming in the same pack)

[Q] U8800H - Not booting - No Recovery Mode - Only Bootloader Mode

Hello People,
Firstly I would like to apologize if this is a duplicate post, Googling reveals tons of different documents which actually has confused me and as I have tried many, I don't even know now what have I screwed up.
Phone - U8800H
OS - Linux
I tried to update my phone and it got messed up. It simply won't boot but go in an infinite loop or restarting every 3 seconds (once the HUAWEI logo is displayed).
By pressing both Vol buttons and starting the phone I can go into bootloader mode (pink screen) and the phone drives get mounted. However trying to go to recover mode by pressing the Vol UP key during start up simply again keeps restarting the phone.
I have tried various solutions which include re-downloading the images folder files again, replacing the recover.img from clockwork, formatting that partition and retrying, almost everything.
The phone simply keeps restarting. Replacing or removing any of the file in the images folder gives me a blue screen during going to bootloader mode.
As I cant get to recover mode I don't know what to do.
The warranty of the phone is finished as it was only of three months. I was told by the company I purchased it from to be a "power problem" but I think its a software problem as I messed it up myself.
If anyone has faced such situation before please help.
Thanks.

The original ROM was U8800HV100R001AREC00B135SP01 CUSTC213D001 (Kuwait VIVA). I have downloaded it as well.
However as suggested it asks me to create a dload folder in a formatted SD card with the zipped files within it, and then start the phone in 'recovery mode'. However the phone doesn't start in that mode with the same restarting issue.
One person suggested to create a 'dload' folder in the SD card with no contents in it and then start the phone in 'bootloader' mode and the phone will auto revert to its default firmware. I did as suggested but it didn't work either.
I have the original boot.img that came with the phone. I also downloaded a fresh boot.img (along with the other three files that come in the images folder) but still the same result of restarting during trying to start in 'recover mode'.
It was working fine till I messed it up trying to upgrade it to 2.3 to change the patched wpa_supplicant file to connect to Ad-Hoc networks.
I think I need to change the files required for 'recover mode' to default ones, but I don't know where they reside. Any tutorial in this direction would be great.
Thanks.
My guess is that some of the partitions got messed up somehow, some different filesystems (ext4 over ext3) in 2.3 stock fw.
Have you tried copying update.app to dload-folder of sdcard then booted phone with both vol-down and vol-up pressed (bootloader mode). That should in theory start the update...

Ok then.... because I'm lost... which rom was on!
2.2.1?
or 2.3.?
these are the files needed FIRST....
---------- Post added at 05:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:16 PM ----------
Ok IF you were on 2.2.... on sdcard make \dload folder with update 2.2 original rom!!!!
Vol+ Vol- Power on...pink screen and it should do the rest!!!
Recovery after you reinstall 2.2!
Now IF you managed to put 2.3... then put 2.3 update in sdcard \dload and again it should do the rest.
If you are trying to come back to 2.2 or miui oxygen cm7 from the beta.... first put the 2.3 beta back on via the sdcard.
I have put the original ROM in 'dload' folder and as suggested I shall have started the phone in 'bootloader' mode now. There is no movement on the screen so I don't know even if its doing something.
How much should I wait or shall I be notified if the update is done ?
Thanks.

Is your folder structure like this
/sd
/sd/dload
/sd/dload/update.app
If it is, then boot to bootloader. you should see it is doing stuff.

I have double checked it again, the structure is 'dload' folder in the root of the memory card and the update.app file in it, still however I don't see any movement in the 'bootloader' mode, just the "pink" screen continuously lit.
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks.

Pink screens means it didn't work. Your phone isn't mounting the sd-card right in bootloader mode. You could try to put the dload-folder on internal sd-card, should be possible since you're on linux. Think you just need to mount the right partition when connecting your phone via usb when in pinkscreen. I don't recall exactly which partition as I'm using Windows and haven't tried this, but you should be able to find some more info around here by searching a bit...

Hello XDA-Forum!
Same problem here with my u8800
I have original recovery.img but i fd' other files by overwriting them.. (yes i know...)
Now my phone doesen't start flashing and i cant do anything. I was using almost latest version of oxygen mod.
Do i need original files to flash my phone back to stock in image/... floder? And if i need, can i dig version form recovery.img? or might this is problem with partitions? I think oxygen is known by partition problems.

I have tried as you suggested, There were 5 partitions on the phone 2 of which were smaller than 200MB and therefore could not save the update file which is larger in size. I have tried over the remaining three partitions but in vain, they all end up with the same pink screen.
However you might be correct that my phone is not mounting the SD card as I can't see the SD card in the list of mounted drives in the computer.
To put/move files on SD card I have to use my another phone
I will get another SD card and try. In the meanwhile if there is anything else I could try, do advice me.
Thanks.

Hi, and welcome to XDA!
I guess you got the same problem with sd-card not mounting properly if you can't initiate stock flashing via dload-folder-method.
If you search the forums you'll find links to download all files that's needed in the image-folder of pinkscreen-partition. Then you'll hopefully be able to boot to recovery (vol-up + power), wipe data/cache/dalvik cache and flash whatever ROM you'd like. Remember this erases all your data, hopefully you've backed up whatever precious stuff you've got on your phone.

Remember that you need all files from the same version. Try this, those are from stock 2.2 if I'm not mistaken. When (if?) you get into recovery, remember to clear cache / data / dalvik cache.

Glad to hear you get it working as we both had the basically same problem.
For me however still it is the same issue, except that while going into the recover mode now it shuts down instead or restarting endlessly. Where as the bootloader mode simply does nothing.
Can you post the exact steps you did to get your work so I can also repeat them?
Thanks.

U8800 Pro Help!!!!

Hello everyone. I used to have an HTC Desire for over a year and learned many things about android. Root, custom recovery, custom roms etc. 10 days ago I bought an X5 pro for my little brother. I've rooted it on stock 2.2.2 (Greek Wind). I noticed that the stock roms was very laggy and wanted to change it with a custom one. I've vhanged recovery with CWM and tried to flash a GB. But the phone was bootlooping. So I tried some things on CWM and now it goes all the time on a blue screen!! I can not access recovery. I can also get into pink screen and noticed tha if I connect it with usb an empty partition appears. Nothing is in it!! I really can't do anything.. Can anybody please help me? I don't have any back up image or tha dload folder or anything backed up... Please if somenoe can do anything I would appreciate. Thank you in advance.
Yes, you erased the system files(recovery.img too), for this is the blue screen.
The pink srceen mode allows to mounted the special partition with all system img files(boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img etc). I don' t think that you successfully flashed the official 2.3 GB rom, because this mode(which is very helpful to solve problems) is locked and doesn' work anymore). So you need the Image folder(in this folder are all these files) of stock 2.2 rom. There are some links in the forum for this folder, use search to find them. Just be careful to don' t use a link for regular model.
You can also try to find a link for the official 2.2 rom and flash it instead.
i think you could try to do the following (you should have 2 options):
1) you should be able to flash the official gb 2.3.5 (B512, not B540) putting update.app and update_g.app in the dload folder and turning on the phone (pressing vol+, vol- and power button)
2) if the 1st method is not succesfull, you need the full "image" folder from another U8800pro...probably from a person who has a backup of the 2.2.2 rom.
ps: using linux you should be able to access to all partitions of the internal memory of the phone
So I need a folder with some files. Is this folder the "dload" one? I s the "image" folder? I've searched for some days this forum but I can't find this folder for download. Thank you very much for your quick apply.
edit: @matteof93. I've understood that I need them but I really can't find them...
ps. excuse my english, I'm Greek.
try this:
download this archive http://www.multiupload.com/NIIJC5BK83
extract it on the sdcard (format it in fat32)
put the sdcard in the phone and turn it on (pressing vol+, vol- and power button)
then the update to the official 2.3.5 (the B512 which can be rooted) should start.
(in the sdcard you should only have a "dload" folder with update.app and update_g.app)
No, the dload folder contains the Update.app which have these images but you cannot extract them.

i reccomend to root, install CWM recovery, install custom genokolar's kernel and remove the FPS limit (this last step using my tutorial).
i also reccomend you to backup the entire internal memory of the phone using the tutorial in this section.

I think that it would me great if those files that are in here would be better to stick them on a general thread for u8800 pro issues. They are pretty difficult (at least for me) to find. In the end it was so easy to fix my phone that ppl who will be in the same thing will be helped.

Эта инструкция написана мной! После того как я сам разобрался
This manual was written by me! Once I had figured out
stattus777
stalker69 ?

ROM installs not working.

Ok so I started out with an x5 running an oxygen ROM ( unsure what one as its been awhile) with a full battery.
1. I then went to install the Aurora ICS 2.0.5 after doing all the wipes needed went to load and all i got was a system that fuctioned but not network service and no battery charging and the device showing 1% battery (it was full to start with).
2. I also tried the Elite.SX.Second.Release-FIXED.by.TerraMino.2012-03-29 ROM (all wipes done) just to get the same things happening
also tried to install and older Oxygen ROMs , oxygen 2.2.2 - 2.3.2 all wipes done) but the device didnt boot.
3. So then I tried a stock ROM via the dload method by puting this [11.07.28]_U8800_V100R001C17B162CUSTC17D001_(China_Unicom)(also another stock ROM I dont remember which) UPDATE.APP on the SD card (Cant put the UPDATE.APP on to internal memory as it is to large) then went to boot into the "pink screen" but nothing happened (both ROM's). Also tried many methods to try to get it to work.
4. After that I thought I would try Miui Prime v3 - by LegoLaSH (done all wipes and formats needed) once it booted I got no network service and battery at 0% although it is Full before starting. Also no battery charging while device is on.
5. I figured Id try ( althoug I guessed it wouldnt work)to install an Oxygen ROM first then install Elite.SX.Second.Release-FIXED.by.TerraMino.2012-03-29 ROM streight after it without wipes , still the same problems as installing the elite ROM alone.
So now Im here and stuck. Is there no flasher for Hauwei phones? oranother way I can get a ROM on the device? Its not my Phone its my partners.
Also its not the First Phone I have ever installed a custom ROM on although seems to be the hardest.
If any idea or more info needed please post.
thanks alot.

Are you sure you put the UPDATE.APP inside the dload folder which is in the root of the sdcard? I never heard of this not working.
I am not sure which files the official 2.3 rom updates, but wouldn't it be possible to copy them from an updated U8800?

You need to update to OFFICIAL 2.3.5 (you were updating to 2.2). You can get it here:http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwi...=toDownloadFile&flay=software&softid=NDQzNTg=
This is porbably most repetead sentence in this forum and is also written in every ROM thread. Oygen was working beacuse its .32 kernel and the newer ROMs are .35 kernel and need to update to OFFICIAL 2.3.5 before flashing. If you would search a little you would find it in less than a minute.

The UPDATE.APP file is only around 300 megs so will easily fit on your internal 2Gb memory so sounds like your trying to copy it to the pink screen memory which is wrong!

Dzo is probably right about the partition layout of your internal mmc. But probably you cannot fix it with geno's method. I would suggest you to check this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1579366
Also it seems to me that you have the imei=0 problem when you updated from 2.2.2 to 2.3.5 (no network - battery 1% or 0% are common problems)
And try not to flash different kernel based roms without upgrading/downgrading to the appropriate kernel, as this probably has damaged your phone.
Hope that helps

Huawei u8800 pro stuck on image signature verification fail!

I am in need of help....
I have a Huawei u8800 pro. I upgraded it to ICS the official upgrade. I had rooted my device when it was on 2.3.5 itself.I had changed the recovery to twrp and had flashed many ROMs onto it which were listed in thus forum. Every ROM were good but always had a problem with the network. I used to go back to the gingerbread everytime because i had a nandroid backup. I then upgraded the phone to the official ICS by the method they had suggested. But I still had the problem with network so I went back to recovery and twrp was not there so i tried to put new one and now I am stuck on image signature verify fail! The pink wont show the image drive also wat should I do.....i am so desparate about wat to do...pls help me..pls reply..thanking u in advance..

the new one as in TWRP 2.8.6.0?
which version of ICS did you install B928?
if so did you:
check if baseband 404029 instead of 404020?
IMEI wasn't messed up during process?
follow pink screen unlock method?
where does it say image signature verify fail during which process?
I am not able boot the phone its....neither to recover or normal mode...the baseband was 404029..I think

If you were on B928 version, you can run pink screen unlock to install a custom recovery such as TWRP.
However if you're not able to boot, this possibly means you flashed a wrong firmware. double check if you have a u8800pro not the u8800 or u8800+ (i'm not sure about the + one) they have different firmware.
Overall if you have a u8800pro, i recommend installing the stock B928 following the official procedure, this is almost a foolproof method to fix any possible software issue you may have.
the link below should have all you need.

Solved the problem
The answer was so simple....If u want all the data present in your mobile download the boot loader unlocker from the website given above by sarsiroslayer..thx man
Paste the Update.App in folder called dload and the folder should be in the root of the sdcard...yes you need a sdcard...and then remove the battery of the phone so it switches off...then connect the phone to the USB wire without battery...and immediatly press the volume. Down, volume up and power button...so it goes to a pink screen..and remember the sdcard should already be placed in the phone...and yes if the phone does not go into pink screen and instead starts to update the software Olla ur phone is fixed......restart and all will be fine...
Ifthis did not work or u don't want any data download the official 2.3.5 android from the huawei site and place the update.app in dload folder and do the same thing as above....My phone is working..:highfive:
Remember remove the battery...before updating ....
Thx all for ur support..xda rocks...
I have typed the solution so even a begginer can utjnderstand...

Huawei p9 lite. stuck at 5% installing update recovery_stock

Hey there,
I entered bootloader and did fastboot flash recovery recovery_stock. Rebooted the device , pushing vol up + down + power together. Now it says installing update but it keeps at 5%....
What can be the issue???
What's your model phone ? VNS-L21/L31 , Cxxx ? , Single/Dual SIM ?
I believe you had Custom ROM and wanted to go back to stock , am I right ?
Yes indeed. I broke my phone. Some weird stuff. Its a vns-l31 european dual sim p 9 lite. I found a stock rom for this phone. It starts the installation to 5%. But some more stuff is wrong.
I got acces to bootloader. If i do commands in adm my phone responds. But i never see a device. Also i tried reinstall twrp a few times. It always say its succesfull but i am unble to boot the twrp.
Ok , download this firmware >> click here (It's VNS-L31C432B160 << B160 for Dual SIM , B161 for Single SIM)
Now , connect the phone to PC , format sdcard in NTFS , make a new folder called dload and put update.app file in it.
Then try dload method again. Lemme know if this works

Funky, but i also heaving issues with finding my Phone. like it worked great on windows 7. But i upgraded to windows 10 and i have issues with detecting the Phone. Like i can run commands with adb etc. I noticed it is because of the drivers are not correcly installed. so i looked for 15 seconds ADB Installer v1.4.3. If i install that it installs 0 files and will leave the cmd window. Il try to input my sd card to a diffrent pc and format it over there..
Anyway thanks for the support .

Uninstall current drivers and install again , I guess ? Should fix the issue..
By the way , I suggested formatting the sdcard to NTFS because it fixed the "Failed to check the update package" error for me when I tried dload method , maybe this will work for you too (Even though you say it stays at 5%)...
But it can also be a bad sdcard ...
Hey,
I did as you said.
Format the SD card to NTFS, downloaded the software from your link and putted it in dload folder.
Placed the sd card back to Phone , pressed vol up down and power button. Still the same situation. It's getting stucked at 5%

5% and it does nothing. After some time my phone just reboots...
Are you trying to flash the stock firmware through dload while your phone is connected to PC ? If yes , then disconnect it .

If you have enough battery , then try again without it attached to PC.
If you don't , then let it charge and try later

Hi I got similar problem. I flashed OEM from here: https://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?p=23848404. Got stock recovery from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/root-root-recovery-bootloader-unlock-t3457564. Flashed both without problems. I downloaded your file, I'm on VNS-L31, europe, dualsim too but on 5% it says installation failed. I tried others firmwares, same issue. I have now RR and got TWRP before, but it glitched almost bricked the phone so I wanna stock back. How can I achieve that?
