[DEVELOPERS NEEDED] for a revolutionary music player concept - Android Software Development

With project Mystery Music Player,i am trying to create a world where we can legally purchase songs and movies for free and for good. i have figured out how to do so already, all i need is some app developer/s to create a high quality music player app with unique features, that will differentiate us from the market. one of the many features that were yet revealed, is the auto color interface change according to album art colors.
Stay tuned, google/facbook us

What is your method of obtaining free media? Sounds a little shady.

Notice purchase typically is not a word you see in the same sentence with free. I'm an app dev. Depending on your method of obtaining music freely I might help. Pm Me if interested.

I could try helping you if you can give me a link to making apps. I know I am no help but I love making stuff holo

No progress?

Father's Day - Random - Help a Developer!!

I am debating doing an article on this and making it a new "feature." Thoughts?
Junkdruggler has been active on here, and has made several quality ADW Themes you can get in the Market, free and paid. He had a little girl last night.
My thought was that it would be cool to have a place where developers could announce life's new additions and if people wanted to help them out, they could go buy an app or two in the market...
I may add this to the blog I do... do you think it would be worthy? Regardless, please go check out junkdruggler's work in the Market:

If you want to congratulate him on his new baby girl and help buy some diapers, pick up one/a few of his paid apps.

Interested in Freelancing android app/mw/kernel

Hi Folks,
We have a team of three people; and we are interested in Freelancing or contributing to the android community. All of us have 2 years + exposure to Android app development, middleware development and kernel..
It was only recently that we decided, we needed to make some money using this skill, but unfortunately we are from India and hence we cant publish paid apps to the market. Also, you guys are the best source of ideas for apps. So start demanding your ideas here and we could get down to realizing the best ones. We don't plan to charge for the applications, but donations would be welcome. Of course, that would come into the picture only once we have the apps ready for you.
Looking forward to your demands.

Can you write a kernel from source?
Sent from my SCH-I400 using xda premium
You can publish, i have some friends who did so, you just need to pay $25 for the initial sign-up
Also, if you make some nice apps, and people like it, publishing wont be a problem(the community rocks! )
cdesai, you have friends from india who published paid apps?

Since no one has yet booked ull for any app development please consider this OR not.
Hey i live in india too.
Was just thinking if ull could help me build an app for my basic robotics project
Its a cheap project consisting nothing more that a powers supply,micro-controller,motor controller IC,motors,DTMF decoder IC and of course an android phone.
I use the android phone to stream audio and video to a PC over wifi.
DTMF signals are sent over GSM network(as voice and not over gprs or 3g)(through the phone again) which are decoded by the DTMF decoder IC(had to physically cut my spare earphones to connect it) and the micro-controller makes sense of the decoded infomation...eg.2 means foward,4 means left,6 means right, etc.
Problem is that there is a lot of delay at times.
It would be nice if i could send signals over wifi with reduced delay by having the audio tones on the phone itself and not having to stream it across and just play the tones via a web interface or even a php api
I am familiar with c# programming only.
Right now im about to begin my exams on the 29th so please excuse my delay in replies. Thanks
Whoa, that's nice..but y are you using a voice call for data transfer? Do you know about the arduino board? It is specifically designed for such projects..and it's less than a $100 too,i guess

Our sch-i400 users only have a source for 2. 1. We are running a leaked 2. 2. Are you capable of writing modifications to have us run a 2. 3 or even 4. 0?

we definitely can, the only downside is we don't have that device..so testing becomes impossible..check in your forum if you device owners can donate me one..

Same as above, us droid3 users have to use kernel wrappers to run ics. Hwcodecs currently dont work, if you got them to work you would recieve plenty donations from our communtiy. Its hard, and probably impossible, but thought id ask anyways
XDA does not allow fishing for money for apps / projects / development. We are a community that shares software and hardware development. There also seems to be no interest from users in your project either.

Dev wanted

Okay, I have been around the forums and contributed to roms here and there. I am wanting to learn more development. The mods I have made have had there place but I want to build my own rom for both my own personal use, and to share with the community.
That being said, I have a lot to learn. I am looking for a dev who is willing to conspire on a little project I want to do. Help me learn the things I need to know to finish this project I have started. I will not attempt to take full credit for what comes of this. Proper credit will be given to those who assist. Especially being I am lacking a lot of knowledge.
If anyone is interested, please pm me. If not, I'm sure in due time I will figure it out. I would appreciate any help that anyone is willing to provide. Thank you to our great devs for keeping our devices alive for so long! I am hoping to contribute to the longevity of our devices as well!

I'd love to start learning, but seems every time I ask about where to start I get either ignored or told to use Google. Lol
I've got lots of windows knowledge, training, etc. But Linux is like a foreign language.
Where can I look to start playing other than a kitchen, that's not development.

Check out google aosp ans github and tge google android developers site. Read some of the guides on here. Start small...work on theming an apk...then modding apks...then system mods...then go to roms. If ur looking for apk dev tgen tgere are sites to help but a lot of that takes a ton of reading with trial and error

:what: lol thanks
I didn't think I was going to read a few paragraphs an be able to build a rom. I took 2 years of c++ and Java, I know how much a hassle coding can be.
So many times I'd click compile and it'd throw 3000+ errors from a comma placement.
At least I got a direction. Thanks papa! I love your mighty smurf! It kicks ass

Okay, so my main issue is porting a tweaks apk into my rom. I need someone who is willing to collaborate with me on this project. Someone who knows smali and can not only assist but educate. All credit will be shared for the assistance provided. Who's willing to go to work? Will resume working on this project tomorrow night.

it is damn easy man,
using Social Media Marketing,Use Your Own Mobile Site,Endorsements,Get Your Users To Rate Your App,Make Your App Buzz-Worthy!
I often review Android apps on my site called www.appdigy.com
I doubt you will get a MASSIVE increase in downloads but a small bump might be possible.
Marketing Your Apps
ASO - App Store Optimization is the art and science of increasing apps tore downloads organically. Here are the tools and steps you can use (in order) SOCIAL MEDIA -->> YOUR VIDEOS --->> YOUR WEBSITE --->> YOUR BLOG --->>SEARCH ENGINES and then to --->>> THE APP STORE.
You can ask me more about how it is done! I am glad to be of help
Social media is the way
I agree with LoganTJM
Virosis on Google Play by Slide Games
At google+, search "Android", then post your app on those communities and try to get people download it.

I will rate and review your app if you do the same for me. Give me your app link. Best regards!

Sorry folks, trading reviews is not very honest and not in the spirit of true development, where free exchange of ideas and respectful contributions should be made. Using XDA to create this exchange is not very honest in that those who do not know XDA exists will get a false sense that all these apps are all 5.0....Let's be fair here, creating these "exchanges" is not really what XDA is for..
These threads will be summarily closed. So, use this thread and all the others here at XDA for their true intentions.
Thanks
