Hello everyone,
I need a help with security in my galaxy y. I am on stock rom and stock kernal
when i lock my phone with a pattern or pin or password lock it locked and cannot
be opened without that. But when i boot the phone in recovery mode and wipe all
data and cache the whole data it deletex but i see that there is no lock or pin as this
doesnt happens on higher android devices. I need a method or program with which the pattern or pin is not unlocked even after the reset of phone.Do someone plz plz plz help me its very urgent

That is not possible All the data and user settings is in Data and Cache so wiping cache and data will remove the user settings! So the password will not remain after the reboot after wiping both
Is there no way.... Realyy ?? Because i need it badly...

there is actually,
you can access it through ADB and debug the files, push new files and viola you have a system exploit,
it's a long and complicated process,
you can google it or search in xda

Hi,
I hope you have been making regular backups.
Go to ad recovery,wipe data,cache partition,and dalvik(advanced)
Reinstall ROM.
How do I get into recovery? Thank u

turn phone off, hold power button for about 5 seconds...menu will appear....scroll down to recovery, press call buttong (bottom left) to select it) and ur there ;-)

After flashing firmware.. the data network mode disappeared!
When i hold the power button... the data network mode option disappeared!

whether firmware that u flash ??
from stock rom or cosrom??
try to flash with stock rom. u can download the stock rom from the following link:

There is no such option in 2.3.5
You are possibly just shocked because you flashed something based on 2.3.5 after being used to 2.3.6.

Go to wireless and networks in settings. Go to mobile networks and toggle packet data and data roaming and fix up APN. Worked twice for me.
Funny because in my Stock Rom it never showed up that option lol, you can enable it by config>wireless>mobile whatever> toggle packet data
Mine doesn't have that option too. How to get that?

Just flash DXLL1 stock rom using odin

Google DXLL1 stock rom and download it then flash it using odin:good:

Flash your Galaxy Y in stock ROM
(note: DEPENDING ON YOUR REGION ONLY)
after Flashing..
Know your Galaxy Y's IMEI by typing *#06#
change your CSC (customer region code)
in your galaxy Y by typing..
*#272*(IMEI)#
then Install your desired network code..

I am newbie in android: rooting, flashing rom, etc.
Few days ago I flashed my galaxy y with jellyblast v3, it looks fine, smooth, and sleek but after few days my device randomly restarted itself, mostly when I don't use it (idle state), and after restart there is CPU frills notification in the status bar: "unclean shutdown, value not applied".
Pls, any idea what happened with my device and how to repair it. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
NB: I know i should post this in Jellyblast v3 thread but I can't post there, so pls help me
Have u installed merruks kernel....???and do this-Turn on safety valve option in settings of no frills cpu.....and tell whether ur problem solved...

No, I am using kuro's kernel which is the default package of jellyblast.
Do you mean i need to check the disable sacety valve option or just leave it unchecked (default setting)
Reflash the rom.....better way

Leave it unchecked....and have u installed any tweaks...???
If yes than remove them.....
Or u can reflash ur rom ...

I am newbie in android, I haven't installed any tweaks other than if it includes in jellyblast v3 package. Maybe i just reflash my ROM, but if i do that will all the data wiped out (the application i installed)? because the instruction of flashing the ROM require me to wipe the data. Or is there a way to flash ROM without erasing my application, data, etc.
try titanium backup or Rom toolbar for backing up ur data . . . backup ur contacts on sd card . . . if u hv heard abt CMW , its better for backup bt then it will include that problematic feature again . so titanium & rom toolbox prefferable in ur case . .

Its not reqired to flash a new rom...
Just dont keep ur phn in low frequencies like 156mhz or 208...
Keep it at 312 or above and use smartassv2 ,ondemand,performance as governer....than u will not face this random reboot problem...

It is pattern lock which I forgot and not possible from Google sign in also. Want to hard reset at the cost of all data lose.

If you have ADB debugging enabled on the device than you can follow this guide found here
If debugging isn't enabled, then that guide won't work.
try to flash it with a custom rom if it is rooted and cwm installed . here is the stock rom link http://www.domosupport.com/download.php. for custom google it

I guess there is something we are not able to help u with pls post a screen shot for the same and let us all see whats that exactly
if possible flash a complete firmware using odin and then reset the device from ur phone this should solve ur issue
i m suggesting reflash & reset coz i have been having a check of ur post and nothing has worked for u so far
Btw since there is a new firmware already doing new flash is wise it will get rid of almost all the issue
