[Q] Wireless: obtaining ip address [ L5 e610 ] - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everbody,
for 10 days i can't connect to ANY wireless network with my L5 e610, it just wont obtain IP adress, like dhcp client doesn't working. It works when i set up static ip address but thats isnt good solution, because i don't know ip addresses for every router that i need to connect to.
I tried to reset my phone, i tried almost everything, and as last resort, i am asking you do you know what can be solution?
Thanks

What is your current situation? Are you on a stock phone, or did you install a custom firmware and/or kernel?

I'm assuming you are using CWM.
Reboot to recovery and clear the Cache and the Dalvik cache (in the 'advanced' menu), reboot and try to connect to WiFi again.

wipe cache, dalvik, and if you can data, it could be an app-related issue

crack
i have too wireles in my phone

thats cool..
Clearing catche didnt help..

Problem solved..
I updated to same version with LGMobile Support Tool

How did you exactly solve it?? And how did you update your phone also if this was the solution?
Thank you in advance.

He used the LGMobile Support Tool (google it) to get the latest LG software on his phone. The latest update(probably) was a fix for this problem.

Problem solved using "Full Wifi"
|{.
what the mean of "Full WIFI" ??
Also works if you just connect 8 or 9 times to the network, after some tries you get the "obtaining IP adress" message and it connects.
Well, the problem was also automatically solved when flashed the WildPuzzle7...anyway: Full Wifi is a wi-fi advanced configuration software.
so that i need is flashing ROM to WildPuzzleRom?
that's a risk. since i new user of wildfire android ?
need to read all thread and later i will try rooting and flash my phone..
thx..

N910H Wi-Fi problem after update to lollipop

Hi everyone,
I'd like to know if anyone encountered any Wi-Fi problem after updating to Lollipop ?
I own a N910H, I have a Toshiba stor. E Wireless adapter I use to connect to my hdd and access my files. When I was on kitkat firmware (N910HXXU1ANK5) it did work fine, also for my other phones or my laptop I can connect without any issue.
Since I updated to Lollipop it cannot connect to the adapter. The toshiba network shows up on the phone but when I type in the password it just won't connect. A tried a few firmwares: N910HXXU1BOC5, SweetRom with BOF1 and also flashed ank5 modem into SweetRom but still not working. I thought it could be modem not supporting the network, it is weird. And when I remove password encryption, it connects normally.
I wonder if it is a modem problem or like lollipop not supported by the device ? Or perhaps do Note 4 lollipop has Wi-Fi issues ?
Thank you everyone for helping.

did not have any problems when i updated from stock kitkat to stock lollipop. You could perhaps root and try some custom roms they have different kernel and modems, perhaps a fix for you.
Some times you have have to just 'forget password' and reconnect the wifi.

I did already, I did "forget password" / retype password so many times. Still cannot connect.
Tried a few roms and different modems. I'll try downloading another stock rom.

[help] wifi issue problem!!!

Is there any p8 lite users or just me have problem.. cant connect to wifi even my password is correct
"Denied access to network. Connection Failed"
help me or if there's anyone have same problem let's find solution bout this
thanks in advance :crying::crying::crying::crying:
up for this , thanks in advance for helping me dev's and modders
Same issue....need help
Sadly a common problem. Have read a lot of tips on how to fix, but none have worked for me (clear cache, factory reset...).
Will probably return the phone soon as it doesn't seems like WiFi will ever work properly.
Update:
Talked to Huawei Customer Support (in Sweden) and they suggested a factory reset and trying to connect to a different AP (to verify that there was no problem with the AP). Which I have already done, so next step was to return the phone. So I just did that and they (the store I bought in in) are going to send me a new one, that hopefully works. Fingers crossed.

Funky Huawei erecovery Like Solution 100% working

https://www.android-hilfe.de/thema/anleitung-zum-flash-jeder-software-oeminfo-notwendig.834881/
Online Method with Erecovery
To be sucessfull here Phone needs to get the OEMINFO.Bin or HWOTA OEMINFO from TWRP or HWOTA
Unlock Bootloader doesnt matter, at least a proper OEMINFO needs to get flashed
1:First set your Router to DNS 81.177.139.39 truly complete, that means all traffic routed throght this DNS
DNS: Primary 81.177.139.39 Secondary 81.177.139.39 It wont work if you dont edit it complete
2 Open Firmware Finder PC Programm Now click on common Base. Now look for your Firmware (same as your OEMINFO ) Now on your Firmware Changelog link rightclick. Copy und on Firmware Access
Please check if its working.
Now on Firmware Proxy , give in link Changelog.xml and click on Set.
Now on Register Update example like http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1356/g77/v84935/f2/full/changelog.xml
You registered fw ......... for ip 77.66.44.31.2
Now restart phone in erecovery . Now choose Network with Router DNS with 81.177.139.39
Connect and Firmware should load like Funky Huawei like .
Works 100%, No bad flashed Firmware anymore.
i was able to flash LON on my Mate 9 by example.
Good job.
Fantastic!
So you already have emui 5.1?
Any problem with the rom of LON or is it all functional?
Thanks!

LON has a few Problems: Screen resolution, also you need a launcher that is permanent like in Mate 9.
LON is stable, Only the resolution is crap at beginning.
Worst Problem, it seems there are a few Problems with initiating the display Driver , that means no bootlogo, black screen until Menu Boot up.
What a great new! Thanks a lot! a question, to which server are you connecting with those DNS? I'm curious and don't understand how this process really works.
Cheers!

DNS Settings only. Your Internet remains the normal one. Only your Dns will set to 81.177.139.39 Primary and Secondary
No need to connect to another Server .
If you mean Connect what Server: Wireless Lan Network from Your DNS Edited Network Router

It's team MT server from firmware finder.
Great news. My isp modem doesn't let me change the DNS so I guess I'm screwed with this method lol.
Giving this a try now.
For folks who can't change settings in their router directly, there's a handy trick I use on a weekly basis - Windows 10 has a built-in hotspot feature for compatible WiFi chipsets, and you can change the DNS settings for the hotspot created by a laptop or PC.
Hi, for rebrand, do you flash the oeminfo previously by twrp like in Funky method? or what do you do with the oeminfo.bin?
And a little doubt... what does this mean? it is only an example, isn't it?

OEMINFO can you get from this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/development/oeminfo-library-t3555353
or you can take the bins already in the HWOTA Program.
But all bins could be flashed by TWRP or HWOTA
May I ask for some advice? I checked in Firmware access in the PC Firmware Finder program if the latest firmware available is working but it says the firmware has not yet been approved for installation. So does this mean it's no point me trying to update via the PC program and changed DNS settings?
Its giving the exact same error result as the android FF app does. I thought the whole point of the PC program/DNS method was to bypass the authentication error and install anyway or have I misunderstood?
Thanks!

You have to dive into good old Control Panel once the hotspot is active. Network and Internet/Network and Sharing Centre/Change Adapter Settings/right-click and launch properties on the hotspot connection/open the IPV4 settings and set primary DNS from there.

Same way but with usb connected.
Tried my rebranded L09C34 running a genuine L29C636 OEMinfo to L29C636 currently on B172. Through hisuite downloaded B181 update and it reboots on install and errors out on erecovery. So still not working for me
Updated to MHA-L29C185B181 from FF app and wifi does not turn ON.
Hi,
Updated to MHA-L29C185B181 from FF app yesterday it said update failed, but in the settings it shows as MHA-L29C185B181.
After this update WiFi does not turn ON.
I have tried the update again using mobile data, this time it installed successfully, but still unable to turn ON Wifi.
I have tried 1. Network reset, 2. All settings reset, 3. factory reset. Wifi issue is not fixed.
Any other solutions for this??
Ho do I roll back to the old version or re-flash the same version, to fix the wifi issue.
Thanks

Just install over HWOTA the OEMBIN or over TWRP and restart. Then connect over wifi withe the DNS Changed Router and restore over Erecovery. Thats all!

I tried with wypes, flashing a new custom rom, came back to the stock rom and resetting network settings but nothing has changed. I can't find a copy of the old mac address. How can i solve this problem? Thanks.

Did you do a backup first?
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
i think it's a hardware failure. if you have flashed a stock rom and the issue is still there. it must be a hardware issue since its not a software issue. i had this problem with my xperia x and have seen it in some samsung devices. it is the wifi ic which needs to be replaced. the bluetooth too should have problems not only the wifi.
I don't have any backup... Do you know if LG's warranty covers this type of HW problems?
