Dear friends,
I just signed the petition "ST Ericsson: Release the sources for the Nova thor chipset" on Change.org.
This is the chip not only used in the Sony Xperia, but also in the Galaxy S Advance.
In order to help software developers to get the most out of these devices it is important to them to get access to the source code of the chip.
I would very much appreciate if all of you could put in a little effort to sign the petition you can find at this link:

I know that chances are slim that this will make a difference, but if we don't do anything then chances are nil.

This thread is very important for the future dev of our phone. And most likely it will get pushed by by the millions of threads in general. I think this exception can be made so that more people can see the thread

This is the phone and kernel source. In here there are compiled drivers. And with this petition we get the sourcecode of that drivers!

They split up the joint venture but the parent companies still exist. Someone HAS that code out there
Yes, of course someone have the code but they can't post it or release it because just they can't. They need approbal of the manufacturer, otherwise will be in law infringement by contract. That's just one reason, they are a lot of other reasons that still being unreleased..

I wonder how it is that still must be able to make a safe and stable ClockworkMod? want more attention for this phone, it deserves because it has a lot of potential! Is it possible that the gslaxy w (512 MB of RAM single core) with a great rom ics antutu do in 6150, while the 's3 mini (dual core 1Gigabyte of RAM) excess of just 7000 (7140) Boys but no joking matter deserve more attention

it is not so "stable" , there are still bugs in the current CWM , for example some users (also me) cannot enter recovery mode by combination of keys .

They narrowed it down to the bootloader. Don't blame the recovery image.

Why not learn youeself how to do it? I think the people working on it are doing the best they can. Complaining about it wont make it anymore stable.

It's an official build so I'd say yes.
I'm using it, so I think it's safe to say it's reliable.

I was taking a look on your brand new ROM for the Note... i was trying to say something about multiwindow, smart stay, S Pen, Paper Artist, Note Camera... but I still haven't permissions to post on the Development Sections...
As soon as you add the Samsung apps i'm gonna try it

So... can't you neither do a workaround..? i'm dumb with ROM modding, but if i'm not wrong MIUI has two frameworks, one for Samsung apps and other for everything else
Can't the framework be the point..? Sorry if i'm messing everything up, and sorry for the bad english

with the n4 gamma control was needed but with the htcone imho its not needed ( yes i tried it ) the screens pretty damn near perfect
Its about time there's 4.3 sources and its probably because kitkat is around the kernel.

I don't think so because it wasn't available with the stock 4.3 Sense 5.5 kernel either. Maybe with the One Max kernel source it may be possible.
