Well You would need to make sure its GSM and not cdma.... and Why its not going to be in the USA in a few weeks... It will be in france before it will in the usa....

yeah but the price won't be the same ^^
Normally, they have the same code (GT-I9505 - Snapdragon version) so it should work no?

Tu fais ça juste pour économiser de l'argent ou tu as pour projet d'importer un modèle 8 cœurs ?

We have to speak English here ^^ (les modos vont nous tomber dessus sinon)
USA will have Snapdragon version (i9505) like France. And i just want to buy it for less money yeah ah ah
In US it will coast me almost 430 €

(Ah okay, je ne savais pas )
If this is international version, you can, you will have any worries.
But beware, the Americans are very different, each operator possess a different model from the international version and enable with different frequencies (such as Verizon).
The best thing is to go to RadioShack, Best Buy, JC Penney and Sears Holdings, you can even go to Wallmart or other big malls.

Even better : a samsung store ah ah
So if i buy an international unlocked version it will work just well here, that's it? It would be awesome
Even Samsung France can't answer me

Yes, two years ago, I bought my S2 and my Galaxy Tab 10.1 at Best Buy, no compatibility problems as I stayed on a version internationnal. Be careful, but the economy is very good!

I'm just scared about compatibility with HSPA+ and 4G (both weren't there 2 years ago :/ )
Samsung FR told me they'll let me know when they'll have the information really hope it will work !

Nobody knows??
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium

as long as you buy an unlocked version that's GT-i9505 it will work
just make sure it's unlocked

Thanks a lot then I'll buy it

if someone could confirm please

if you're not sure, you can look up the frequencies used in your country and write them down somewhere and then you can compare them to the ones written on the phone box at the store, if they're not the same then just don't buy. but I think it would work, since for example, Erica (that girl who does some videos for XDA TV) she got an international variant of the SIII and it works fine with whatever carrier she uses in the US.

Thanks for your answer
I have a Galaxy Note 2. Can i right down frequencies that are in the box to compare with those ine GS4 box?

sure!
and after the device is out we will know pretty much everything about it so it will be easy to know even without actually going there, but I think this may be accurate already: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9505_galaxy_s4-5371.php just doesn't say the LTE frequencies

Thanks for those information and foe the link
I'm going to compare the frequencies with my phone right now !

Hi, alles goed ?
Unfortunately the N4 is sold out in France. Only way to grab one (except Ebay...) is from a provider called SFR (exclusivity contract) .
The device price is totally different. More expensive and i think you don't want a 24 months contract there.
Sorry for bad english, i'm french you know

German version of GS 4

It looks like Germany is gettig octa core and i want it rather than snapdragon 600. I always had USA version of phone and never tried international version. Although rumors are to be said that Exynos are not going to get much development as snapdragon 600, it is ok because I will not be rooting or flashing rom. So, My question is, what will be the famous german phone sale website that will be selling GS 4 and will ship to USA? (For example in UK, www.clove.co.uk would be a good example)

If I bought one from Germany (octacore) :
1. Would it just be a case of selecting English and using my 3 sim straight off?
2. Is warranty an issue, would I have to send it to Germany should a fault occur?
3. If they ever do bring out an octacore version in the UK at a later date, am I right in thinking you could just flash the UK firmware on the German bought phone?
Thanks

1. Well if you buy sim free unlocked one and your carrier carries the right frequency yeah.
2. I have to research more on warranty but i assume samsung in us will be handle it unless warranty specifically states to be serviced in germany.
3. No idea

Related to #2: Of you buy the phone in Europe, the warranty will be available only in European Union, so in case of problems you will need to send it to Europe.
About #3, if the devices are both OCTA, it shouldn't be a problem.

UK is in Europe (for now at least ) which is why I'm not sure how warranty would work. I wonder if someone in France moved to Germany, would they have to send it back to France if that's where they bought it?

Nop, you can fix it in Germany, as well as Portugal or Romania. If you bought it in EU, you can fix it wherever you are or want. I'm in Spain right now, I will buy it from Germany and if I have problems, I can send it to Samsung Service here in Spain. That's the beauty of European Union.
@jkforce: I don't think it will work. First of all, the whole US will use Snapdragon so Octa will be kinda hard (or needs a lot of time to be fixed because of the component needed and not found locally). Also, an extended warranty works in the same way as a normal one, in this case only in Europe, but covers you of drops or other mechanical damages. You will need to ask Samsung US if they can accept you an extended warranty for an European device in US.

Good day. I am planning on buying but i heard that the only models available at local samsung stores
are the wifi only p600 ones and only 16gb. I want a 32gb model but i am not sure if local samsung stores will ever release it in
the country. Where did you buy yours? What model, price and storage capacity?
If you want 32 gb probably you can buy at the online retailer like kimstore they sold 32 gb lte version but they dont have samsung warranty i guess well 16 gb is good enough for a moderate gamer just add a 64 gb microsd card

Of course you're welcome here, it's the internet! The only reason I see for this thread being exclusive for Philippines is difference in hardware or accessories availability in that particular region that may not benefit others from reading posts here. So far I have not seen anything on this thread relevant to a specific region. But if this thread were to exclude anyone who is not Filipino, then that's just silly. The Philippines and its people are known to be very friendly and hospitable to all ethnicity. Just be prepared if no one bothers to explain any cultural differences because it would be assumed everyone here knows what is being talked about, for example:
1. Can I change my tablet to wake up by saying "Hoy!" instead of "hi Galaxy!"?
2. My wife gets mad at me when I use my tablet while we're eating dinner. She says it's too hard to clean the rice off the display. (some Filipinos prefer to eat with their hands)
3. My wife got mad at me for cursing at the tablet in front of the kids. I was only using voice search for Manny's next fight! (Pacquiao, some Filipinos can't pronounce the letter F, so F*** you could sound like Pacquiao)
By the way, I'm not racist, I'm FBI. Full Blooded Ilokano.
---------- Post added at 07:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:28 AM ----------
My wife hates my tablet compared to her iPad. She says my S-Pen is so small, whenever she drops it on the floor she can't pick it up with her toes.
Don't worry about anything, this is a good thread. I've got a 32 gb, P-605 bought from Hong Kong.I love the snapdragon variant than the exynos version. I have to change the ROM though. Is this available in the Philippines? How much?

[Q] Where to buy N9005 completely unlocked in Las Vegas?

Hi all
I have an upcoming trip to Las Vegas.
Where can I get the LTE MODEL (N9005) completely unlocked including regional unlocked.
Looking for a shop where I can pick it up and check it out before I leave.
I may have a connection in London too.
Any ideas where I can find this device at those two destinations ?
Thanks !

In London Phones4U normally have them in stock Sim-free. Not cheap though - £620. http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_justphones_details.asp?Itemkey=714026 probably cheaper in US, if you can get the 9005 there.
Alternatively, you may find a boxed one on Gumtree in the UK but it'll be a private sale, cash only and riskier.

What i constantly see is N9005 mentioned as SIM Free but many are Region locked to EU.
i dont want to patch the device or hack it.

Just an FYI - the N9005 isn't compatible with US LTE bands (T-Mo *may* work) so you'd only get 3G/H+ only. -- assuming you are US Based obviously.

Thanks Rodrigo, how old is your i9505? I presume VIVO is the best SIM to get (for data) if travelling to Salvador, Sao Paulo,Belo Horizonte, Rio and Brasilia?
Only 3 months but i use VIVO since 3 years ago,i believe it's the best carrier for São Paulo and Rio but Brasil is a pretty big country so i don't know its the same on the other regions, specially on Salvador but overall its a good carrier.

Yes, your country is very big! I will spend only a few days in Bahia so it is more important to be good in the south. Do you know how much for a VIVO sim card and how much data you get with it?
That's odd but I didn't find any pre paid Sim card from vivo, only Oi and Claro carriers have Sim cards and plans for tourists.
