I work at Best Buy Mobile and we had an Employee News article go through our systems about a week or two ago that literally read "White Evos Lost In Bermuda Triangle." The article went on to say that they weren't really lost in the Bermuda Triangle, but to not expect any replenishment on White Evo stocks for the foreseeable future. Don't wait around for one, they aren't coming any time soon.

I work at Best Buy, and I cannot even get one. The whole state of Florida is pretty much out of them, and they are discontinued.
So don't bother expecting to get one with an upgrade. It's better to just buy one on eBay.
Let your co worker know white evo isn't too far from black one.
Screen and frame portion is black just like the regular black evo.
Only white portion is the battery cover and the small portion of plastic on the back.

Actually sprint is going to resell the white evo in November. Probably after the galaxy tab goes on sale which is on the 14.

According to techradar the UK launch date is now officially 1st May. They don't say the source other than

Where Samsung announced it I dont know, twitter? There isn't even an S2 page on the Samsung UK website that I can find.
But good to know that this phone isn't far away. Cant imagine other country release dates will be too far away.
This ties in with the email Clove sent a member, so preorders wont be sent till the 3rd, but should be available in stores over the May Day bank holiday period.

The post also confirms HSDPA+ usage for the UK at "upto" 21mbps. First phone to offer this in the UK, surprised it isn't making the UK headlines more.

Why would Samsing 'ship' on a Sunday?
If you ask me, they'll be shipping the week before, ready for the retail release on the Sunday, and, as with most bank holidays, there will be plenty of people out shopping.

On relation to the topic. Yeh the proximity of the release of the Sensation may cause price plans to be reavaluated, especially as they are phones being released around the time of an uprgrade for HTC Hero/Desire users. Think I may take a trip to town just to admire lustfully at the screen and to count down the hours till my contract ends.
As Sensation has been I think said to be priced similarly to the DHD, will the S2 be similar to the S1 when it was launched?
Has anyone been on the phone to the carriers yet specifically Orange? My contract is up at the moment and I am just on a rolling 30 day contract whilst waiting for this. When i phoned them up last week the guy didn't have a notion about the SGS2 so just wanted to check on here before phoning back again.

You could be right, it may be an employee looking to get people talking about there products or drum up some bushiness! But they did join in 2009.
But to be fair i very rarely post as I am not as well endowed as many on here (with the skills needed for dev work that is and I don't look forward to being flamed), i have bought my device from HK, quick delivery and having followed the guidance on another forum can confirm its genuine, Samsung accepted it on my product account, tested perfect and everything people ask. The one thing I did note was the description on the package for customs, again reading elsewhere, it may get held up but the owners of the website say there paying import duty, hope this helps.

There is a zero percent chance that that is legit. The price is way too low and I'm willing to bet they don't have a good way of contacting them.
It's not worth the risk. If you really want one then look for a more reputable site.

I think like quite a lot of buyers I was originally deciding between the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4. They're both great phones in their own different ways, but after the delays and other setbacks for HTC, I was worried that the One might get sidelined like the One X last year.
Anyway, having just seen the Galaxy S4 prices (around 580 pounds), I think there's a small ray of hope for HTC. Although it's still expensive, the 32G One offers great value for money. Hopefully this will give consumers something to consider before they rush out and buy the S4.
Of course I don't doubt the S4 will still sell like hotcakes, but at least in these early weeks and months HTC will be able to offer (in my opinion) a better price/performance ratio versus the 16G Snapdragon S4 variant. I hope HTC can capitalise on this opportunity.
P.S. I don't intend this as flamebait, so moderators please feel free to lock or delete this thread if it gets out of hand. I just thought it's nice for HTC to have some good news for a change

Sorry, I didn't mean to mislead, I just thought the competition's higher prices will help to give HTC and the One a little more breathing room.
I really hope HTC push a really good marketing campaign for this phone, it really does deserve it. I still see so many posts on fbook with people asking "S4 or iphone5 which should i buy" everytime i mention the HTC One and its as if no ones ever heard of HTC before...

Along with this it seems HTC are actually trying to push some marketing out....(There's a thread somewhere about it in here) In the UK there's TV adverts showing up pretty regularly. Which I'm pretty sure I've not seen from HTC before. Really hope things go well for them this year!

If HTC spends a lot this time in marketing this beautiful phone they could really benefit. The old saying, "It takes money to make money" is so true for them.
You want to know why Samsung is the #1 best selling phone in the world? They spend the most marketing dollars than anyone in the business to be there.

No matter how much we fans of the HTC One want it to succeed and do better than the s4, it won't happen.
Samsung is a beast on marketing and it will kill the sales of the HTC one, especially here in the states due to the delay and basically coming out at the same time as the s4.
Just how it will be, its inevitable.
Also here in the states on T-Mobile, they both will be 99$ down payment and believe 580 total. So no difference in price.
Its unfortunate, but a reality.
With that said, more than likely I will be getting an HTC One, if I can keep holding out. Really like the Note 2 as well.

Sprint's pricing will more than likely be at $199, and T-Mobile has already confirmed it's availability of the 32GB model at $99. AT&T will follow suit from either of those. As far as pricing, HTC does have a good chance to make a difference here.

Yep, after reading the GSM Arena comparison yesterday, I have been starting to lean a little towards buying the Samsung. If Sprint has the One $50 cheaper and I can get another $100 on an HTC buyback, that would almost certainly be enough to get me to stay with the One.
Funny thing about the GSMArena S4 review though - in the comparison they said that the S4 has a better audio output than the One, but whereas in the One's review they've published their standard audio frequency test, in the S4's review it was surprisingly no where to be found, nor even mentioned.

Mines on pre order. Just wanted to let you guys know about Amazon price being reduced from £529.99 (Price on UK Microsoft Store) to £469.99 for the 950XL and £449.99 (Price on UK Microsoft Store) to £419.99 for Lumia 950.
Shipping on UK Microsoft Store is set for 03/12 but Amazon are set to ship for 12/12. Amazon prices are the same as CarphoneWarehouse who have also reduced their prices compared to UK Microsoft Store.

I believe it doesn't matter where you get the device from as long as you get it in the initial period you get the free dock, going to ask in cpw again to confirm though

You will actually qualify for the dock. Short version - I spoke to MS support and they assured me this will be valid for any order before the end date and you can ignore the "start date" of the promotion.
Long version: The support representative I spoke to basically said that the Nov 20 date was only the initial date that they thought the first units might ship through partners. The "order date" will infact be counted as the shipping date since it's only a pre-order at this point and the orders haven't actually been completed.
If anyone is interested in buying direct from Microsoft they will price match the official retailers. Refund will be issued once deceive delivered. You also get 30 days return policy and support for free.
also mobilephonesdirect have it in stock for next day delivery.
Ordered mine off amazon this morning, due for delivery tomorrow. Cant wait!

Just got mine this evening. It is an amazing device. One small issue. When I go into the app store, I want to sign in, so I can start downloading a few apps. When I click on the menu button at the top left and then click sign in at the bottom of the menu, it comes up and says choose account. Problem is, it doesnt list any accounts I can choose. How do I get around this?
Edit never mind, did a wipe and everything is now 100% This is soo much better than android!

Now I have had a day or so to play around with it, it is wicked cool! would be hard pushed to go back to android. Cant wait for full Cortana integration on my Windows 10 desktop. Will be very cool to be able to send text messages from my PC.

I use a Lumia 930 running WX 10586.29 Preview Build - lovely device, S/W a bit flakey. My "dirt" phone is a Blu Win HD LTE - £59 from Amazon UK and running W8.1 UP2 - know what - it's amazing for the money! Really good.
My Android is an LG G2 32 Gb (the EU version with more memory than the UK version) and it has been a really great phone for over 2 years now. It looks and performs like new. Don't use it much nowadays.... but still pleases me when I do.

Just got mine yesterday, coming from a G Note 3 the improvements are immense and some Apps are actually better than their Android equivalent (6tag, Outlook mail, Baconit to name a few). I'm converted back to MS, my last MS phone was the legendary HTC HD2, hopefully we can mod the 950 XL as much as we could the HD2.
Out of over 100 Apps the only real App I'm missing is my Sonos App , all my other smart home app's are just as good, Plex, Tado, Roku, Xbox. Can anyone advise a good Sonos App? currently using 'Smart Player'.
The camera is amazing for a smartphone, so is the screen quality and I really like the 'Hello' unlock just for the speed and handiness of it.
The only 'problem' I have with the device is as a IT Administrator who deals primarily with MS Networks, I'm surprised there's not many Apps compared to Android. I miss the likes of fing, JuiceSSH, Network Scanner, OpenConnect (though standard VPN does work), Spoofer, ADManager, and even some MS ones.... Thankfully the situation looks to be getting better as i've heard some Apps are in development or will be ported over. If that's too much then all we ask for is a PowerShell App MS!
I like 950xl. Anyone esle want to sell it?
Phonos is a fairly good Sonos app. Not as good as the official android one but probably the best you'll find at the moment.
