Bluetooth keyboard tip. - Galaxy Note 10.1 General

I purchased a Logitech bluetooth keyboard for use with the Note 10.1. Initially I was excited, but that excitement turned to irritation when I realized that my typing experience would be constantly interrupted by the words "English(US)". After some trial and error, I quickly found out that it was cased by pressing the key combination Shift+Spacebar, which activates the Samsung Keyboard's language switcher. Apparently, I hit this combo every time I capitalize an "i" when typing quickly.
After some trial and error, I found a decent solution. I downloaded the 4.2 Google keyboard, and problem solved (Initially I tried a number of other virtual keyboards, but each of them didn't play well with the quick FN options of this keyboard, and I was searching for full functionality). This also removes the full word deletion feature of Sammy's keyboard, which begins deleting entire words when the backspace button is pressed for X-amount of seconds), which I find to be very annoying.
The only problem left happens when reconnecting my bluetooth keyboard, which causes TouchWiz to default back to Samsung Keyboard. Fortunately, the virtual keyboard can be switched back to Google's with just a couple taps.
Anyways, hope this helps.

Onscreen keyboard keeps switching to "handwriting" after reboot

Hope someone could help me out.
I recently installed Swype. I'm not sure if that's what behind my problem, but now if I happen to reboot my phone, the default onscreen keyboard is always in "handwriting" mode, and I have to switch it back to Swype before I can type a single message. It's rather annoying.
Another thing that happened even without rebooting (only once so far) was that I couldn't unlock my phone with the onscreen slider. When I swiped my finger over it, I kept getting handwriting input (green lines) and not grabbing the slider. Had to pull the battery to reset. Since I'm on company e-mail (Exchange), my phone always locks, so this could be a problem.
My questions:
a) can this be related to Swype?
b) is there anything I can do to "set" the keyboard permanently to a particular state (I'd like to keep Swype)?
Thanks!

scroll ball malfunctions

hello, my MyTouch 1.2 is acting up. I've installed several different keyboards, including the "better keyboard" that everyone recommends, but im still having this one issue.
sometimes when i am typing, the input box loses focus and my last text in the conversion gets selected, like someone had rolled the track ball up or something. it usually happens when the recommendation box pops up.
i just want to know, is this a software/os problem? or is it hardware related and i should warranty my phone?

disable haptic feedback
ok, I disabled haptic feedback in the current keyboard that I'm using (the swiftkey beta keyboard). I also disabled vibrate keypress on android keyboard, and anything that sounds like vibrate on key press on the other keyboard. I'll reply again if this doesn't fix it
Thank you for your reply!

[Q] Stop Physical Keyboard turning on after boot

As you guys all know, the LG G2 doesn't come with a physical keyboard. Ever since I paired my home bluetooth keyboard with my G2, it seems to think there's a physical keyboard. Whenever i reboot the device, physical keyboard is turned on and the soft keyboard doesn't pop out when I need it. I have to keep disabling the physical keyboard manually.
This is quite an annoyance, which i don't think is limited to the G2 as I previously noticed this on another Chinaphone running JB. Then I had worked around this by using the Hackers Keyboard from Google Play that had a setting to pop out the soft keyboard even when physical keyboard is present.
What can I do to have the physical keyboard not be enabled by default? (supposing that unpairing the BT keyboard resolves the issue, I would prefer not having to do this).
Thanks in advance for your help.

Stock keyboard spacebar doesn't always respond

Using stock keyboard i found that my typing was constantly getting words grouped together. Then I noticed that when I hit the space bar I always get the hepatic feedback but the cursor doesn't always move when spacebar is pressed. Sometimes I have to hit it 3-4 times. Anyone else have this problem.
I have the same problem, but I don't know a fix. I hate anything but stock keyboard. I refuse using another keyboard
even im facing the same issue!!!! lets hope a fix from google in feb update!!!but ive to press it twice and not 3-4 times
Huh, I've never had this problem. Perhaps try to reboot into safe mode to rule out rouge apps and see if the issue persists?

Keyboard issues

Hi all,
so I have my Yoga Book - Windows version - for several days now. I am very happy with this device however there is one issue with the keyboard I just do not know how to solve - except for connecting external keyboard.
In general use its fine but it does not cooperate with games - you can not use key combinations (wd;wa,sa;sd) to move. As soon as you press "D" while holding "W" the keyboard stops sending continuous imput data. You can hold "W" and tap "D" to move right strait right (not forward/right) but it is a single imput... you can not hold "D" for continuous imput while holding "W" at the same time as in normal keyboards.
This seams very strange to me as you in fact CAN hold several key for continuous imput just not the character keys. For example: shift+W (2 keys) will give you continuous imput of capital "W" and crtl+alt+v (3 keys) will give you continuous imput of "@" sign. Clearly the technology supports multiple simultaneous "key" press, it just does not behave like regular keyboard.
I believe that this is an issue of halo keyboard's drivers but I might be wrong. Anyone have any glue how to solve this?
You can use the micro-usb port and bluetooth to connect an external keyboard

Well........ obviously. I know that, but you certainly do not have external keyboard all the time. I mean... it kind of negates the point of having 2v1 tablet/notebook if you have to have external keyboard anyway.
Hey,
so after few more test I found out that the same issue applies to arrow keys as well - meaning no diagonal navigation in file explorer, table documents or navigation services (google maps). So I have contacted customer support - long story short I should do factory reset or send it to service centre.
I am still convinced that this is the issue of drivers so I was wondering... could anyone with Yoga Book test this issue?

This is indeed an issue, exactly as you have indicated. Factory reset / sending it to the service centre will almost certainly be a waste of your time.

Thanks for the info.
Anyone else? The more the merrier

That sounds a like reasonable problem to me, I am guessing that this is not a real keyboard and they probably tried to make it simulate on screen keyboards which most of them do not properly support multiple modifier keys thing. I do not have a way to try this on the android keyboard but the ctrl modifier seems to work.
I just wished that the pen and the keyboard worked at the same time. So I do not have to constantly switch.
Please, take a look at my post, I list a few files you can modify to change the behaviour of the keyboard/touchpad:
