The two phones are quite different....there's a very high chance of hard-bricking your phone....

It wont hard brick a phone lol(unless u mess wid kernel)... btw I hav tried installing their roms on my sgy and it boots but never works mayb these roms can be ported to theirs phone?
Answer is no
If phone voots after flashing rom then its a miracle, and even if it did boot im sure its not going to function normally

if the dev or author of the rom said it is supported, you can flash it otherwise DON'T. you might brick your phone.

Guys help me ! i Can't boot up after installing savie's kernel rev70. I'am on stock rom DDLF1 .
I want to flash this on the stock rom itself,but after installing the kernel..the phone doesn't boot up and gets stuck on the galaxy y logo . Please help !

Back To Normal flash stock Firmware and flash stock Kernel Only *.tar may b some install problem...or other u can try New Rev73

Tried everything ! Even the latest rev73 but still hangs on galaxy y logo !!!! :'(
Stock rom need create manual init.d folder 1st..
That's already there ! I've got adrenaline engine 4.3 installed !

I Installed Hells_lock kernel = hells fusion #50 and I am getting wifi problem after installing stock rom too....

go to dev section,search for wifi driver by whitexp.
you flash hells_fusion,why don't u search first in respective thread?

are you mounting everything before install? cuz I fixed all wifi bugs in #50
He might have switched from a kernel using whites modded dhd.ko that means wifi will only work on whites kernel
But buddy helps here .....just extract dhd.ko from a stock rom its there in system/lib/modules ..... Correct me if im wrong...i dont remember....it should be there...or download it from the thread flash or replace and VOILA problem solved.....

I have tried everything but getting prob.... even wifi driver and all other fixes.... 3G also not working

I was using stock kernel on evo x3 rom now i am on jellyblast 3.5 with kuro kernel.....
Hey! Buddy I am on my other Galaxy Y it is working super fine with your hell fusion kernel with creed rom 3.5.....

uou can do ythe following-
1-extract dhd.ko from the stock rom and place it in system/lib/modules
2-reflash rom

Wow....
I told them that my was not working since a week I saw they flashed stock rom (it could be DDLA3) now updated DDLK1.....
They told me it was a minor issue and not a driver problem bcoz i thought be4 I alsi had a hard brick on it......

Im tried to install custom ROM to galaxy y
first flashed cwm recovery and backedup stock ROM to sdcard
then flashed supers user
then wiped everthing and flashed the rom from this site rom downloaded from this site
rebooted system then stuck at samsung logo
then fuled the battery
and trired to boot recovery its not booting to recovery, even stock recovery also
always showing logo only
please help me guys im scared
reflash it with odin using any rom.
go to recovery clear cache. reset to factory..

it is because the kernel of ROM is having Custom recovery which has destroyed ur stock Recovery n custom isnt flashed properly...remember to mount everythng ...evn if it shows mounted..unmount it n mount it agn to b on a safer side..

First I did wrong when I'm going mount data its show error. I ignored and flashed that's y I got stuck at logo.
Thank you boss u helped a lot,
I did flash PC Odin stock firmware.
Mobile Booted to screen and working
Then flashed custom ROM over that
Mounting everything it is also fine now working.

You can't flash Galaxy Y's Custom Rom on Galaxy Y CDMA because -
Your phone is CDMA
Your phone has a Qualcomm Chipset
