Very nice! I hope it fills out more, but it seems to be pretty well done. :good:

It's online since much time, but there isn't anything interesting
Btw, if somebody need to install it on raspberry type:
Code:
sudo apt-get install pistore
if it won't work, type:
Code:
sudo apt-get update
and then the first command again.

Good initiative, only if it fills more of the apps section than the games section

Sadly, there is nothing worth getting on there. I really hope they expand it and get more apps, I definitely hope they put games and programs we can use.

How To Use ADB

Since ADB is required to root the Nexus can someone be kind enough to make a how to on how to use ADB? I'm new to Nexus, I came over from the EVO and never had to use ADB to root or flash, so if someone can make a how to on ADB I'm sure there would be alot of us that would greatly appreciated!

ADB is not necessary during rooting. Perhaps you are thinking of Fastboot???

i suppose a how to would be useful for beginners, i certainly don't have any quality experience with adb, just hours and hours of brain hurt. googe is my good friend though, and there lies some satisfaction to wasting a tremendous amount of effort over solving a simple problem.
asking specific questions might be quicker than waiting for an adb tutorial. somewhat helpful info on adb- hxxp://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/adb.html

Fastboot is apart of the ADB package...
you don't need a step-by-step the stickied threads will guide you through this:

Personally, I'd like to know exactly where fastboot comes from, and how to get it the "real way." I don't like having to scour the forums to download a working version of a basic tool. I'd rather learn how to do it myself.

It is a part of the Android SDK. You can download the SDK Manager from the official Android site and then install the platform tools package and you will have fastboot and adb.

I was able to find a working version for mac, but I just feel dirty, like I paid for sex. I don't want sloppy seconds. I want to get to know her, find out where she's from, learn what makes her tick. Then, after I really understand what she's all about, maybe I'll start pushing her buttons.

okay here is the new rom kictchen for any phone!
ONLY 12 STEPS!
1. after your day job/school call your boy/girlfriend and break up with him/her. (you wont have enough time for them anyways)
2. go on http://ocw.mit.edu/index.htm and learn java, c++, and python (pythons cool too)
3. format your hard drive and install ubuntu.
4. learn ubuntu for a few weeks. figure out exactly how it works and is structured.
5. begin developing programs in any language to get an understanding of how to program and work in a developing environment.
6. go to http://developer.android.com/index.html and read everything. start to finish.
7. download every rom you can find for the atrix. take them apart and study how they work and how they are different.
8. get apk tool and start taking apps apart modding/tweaking them
9. recompile the apps and learn to sign them
10. learn how update scripts work. how to change them. make them work the way you want.
11. use the same tool to sign apks to sign your roms zip.
12. make a folder called /workdir (or something simaler.) now look at your hands. now look a the keyboard. thats your kitchen my friend.
ENJOY

And if you need some flies from your linux partition if you're dual booting try this - http://sourceforge.net/projects/ext2read/files/

Yes, I believe you need msysgit for all Windows Git apps, this is the real Git for Windows. Everything else are just GUIs... If I'm not mistaken.

Oh i see... with this you don't need it as it's integrated ..... This has a nice and clean GUI a bit metro style like and it's quite flexible like smartgit...... On a side note I just love the new clone in windows button on github repos

Same am not a big fan of metro either luckily this is very minimalistic and lightweight i think i will use it for looking at commit history and some other things as it has the nicer GUI in my opinion but i do prefer using command line as it's more fun learning that way
I'm not a big fan of the command line either lol... Honestly, I just think that SmartGit is close to perfection

Raspberry Pi launches App Store!

As of today, Raspberry Pi has launched its very own app store which allows users to download and upload many apps optimized for our very own Raspberry Pi's! You may download and upload content (including binaries, raw Python code, images, audio or video) and even add a "Tip Jar" for kind donations. The official Pi Store application is also available, which saves you the time of clicking through an installer.. If you are not running the official OS, you will need install and download it from the official repository. Just open the terminal and type:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install pistore
Below is the link to the store! Enjoy!

This is great!! I'm so glad I found this site. I found it by accident, an app store would help new users so much!

Which program should I use?

Hello XDA Devs. I am pretty new to the concept of people like me creating apps. I am very inexperienced and I am trying to make a game for my android phone. I knew that Google had an Android SDK but I learned that Adobe's Flash Professional can create apps for Android as well. So which program should I use to create a game?

Uh, I wouldn't use the Adobe Flash thing. First of all, it should be slower and Adobe doesn't provide flash player support for Jelly Bean and later. So it runs on old phone only. (I know there are ways to get flash on newer versions. But they aren't optimal.)
So use the SDK. It offers much more functions.
You can use an engine like AndEngine though. I'd recommend that. However, you need to know Java and the Android part.
Although I agree with going down the Java route, as you will be able to do a LOT more with it, Adobe Air is a viable platform for a Flash developer. (It's not the same as the flash plugin for browsers.)
Have a look here for more info...

I've not used it for a long time, no. I know it's compatible with my HTC One, and that's running Android 4.2, so it's been kept up-to-date. I did think it was the way to go for a long time, purely because of the fact that it's cross-platform, but I have less faith in it now. If I want cross-platform then I use Phonegap.
I'm curious now. Going to install it and have a play around

As mentioned above you could used engines like AndEngine. But if you are new to java as well then I suggest learning java and move on to creating simple apps. You can use websites like thenewboston or other various tutorials all over the net. Make use of youtube and google... they will help you.
