[Q] Mobile data while in call T-Mobile? - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Verizon retail Razr M unlocked with DFS on a T-Mobile montly 4g plan with working 3G / H+. The only problem I have run into is that I cannot use mobile data while in a call. Is there a way to get around this limitation?

Using AT&T on HD2, how to roam onto T-Mobile?

Hey guys,
I'm using AT&T Service on my HTC HD2 w/ Android. Everything's great except for the lack of 3G (since the bands AT&T use are different from T-Mobile).
So I was thinking, what if there was a way to roam onto T-Mobile's 3G bands?
But the thing is, I go to the Network Operators list and I only see AT&T. But I know there is T-Mobile service here because my relatives have T-Mobile and do get service here.
Here's a screenshot of the Network Operators screen:
Any ideas?
Not a huge deal as I am near Wi-Fi most of the time, but it would be nice to be able to use 3G

Get a sim card.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I don't want to switch providers. I'm more than happy with AT&T's voice service.
Set your phone to MANUAL NETWORK SEARCH, then scan. T-Mobile should then show up in the list but you won't be able to access the TMO network with your AT&T card.
T-Mobile and AT&T do not have roaming agreements. You will need a T-Mobile SIM to access T-Mobile's network.

T-Mobile G2 on Verizon LTE - Data working but no SMS/calling

So I got my unlocked T-Mobile [d801] G2 working on Verizon 4G LTE. I just can't make calls or send SMS. Is this because it has to go over CDMA or something?
I'm still using the T-mobile ROM. Vzw LTE works fine - like hangouts phone calls and web sites.
Just curious about this.
I'm going to the UK (London) soon, I don't expect to have 4G but I should get 3G on the 2100MHz band according to "willmyphonework".
Does Verizon require you to call in and register the phone imei?
No I just had to add the APN info and "register" on the network via the phone. I had some issues with the LG G2 due to its poor radio, but that doesn't represent the entire process which is usually quick and easy.

Dual sim connectivity issues Verizon and Cricket

I've had the phone since November and have been using Verizon Sim 1 (company line) and Cricket Sim 2 (personal line) together and have been on the unlimited cricket for data. And the boss just got the unlimited Verizon data so I was going to dial down the cricket plan. So I kicked on the Verizon data and my signal on Sim 2 goes to nothing and I can't make calls or send or receive texts. Is this a setting issue or does the phone need to be updated? I'm still on B27 I believe.

Unfortunately this is not fixable for now as SIM 2 requires 2G EDGE service when SIM 1 is CDMA (like Verizon) and being used for data...AT&T/Cricket shut down 2G service December 31 so sadly the Axon can't receive Verizon data and AT&T voice simultaneously.
I think it's not totally known whether this is a hardware or firmware limitation...Hopefully ZTE can fix it if it's the latter.
Well that sucks, thanks for the quick answer.

My understanding is Verizon (CDMA) is only supported in SIM 1.

Issues with LTE on Unlocked Sprint Note 4

Hi all,
I've been having a Sprint Galaxy Note 4 that is unlocked. I bought it unlocked already. My mobile service provider is T-Mobile. I have an unlimited plan with them. The issue is that the Note cannot connect to LTE network. The only option available for me to access the internet on the go is the GSM/UMTS option under the network mode settings. Using this option my phone can only connect to a 3g service that is painfully slow. If I try selecting the CDMA or LTE/CDMA option under the network mode settings the Note will not get any service at all as if there was no sim card inside of the phone. Therefore I can only use the GSM/UMTS option. Is there a fix for this or am I stuck with 3g service on this phone? Please ask me questions if you have any that will help me get to a fix. Thanks :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

I believe the LTE bands in sprint CDMA/VERIZON CDMA are different. they are not compatible with T-mobile because T-mobile required completely different LTE bands and they are locked in sprint phones and they cannot be unlocked.
If you have N910V/N910P You will only get HSPA/HSPA+ 3G/3.5G with T-MOBILE/AT&T network.
My best suggestions will be you can swap your sprint with T-mobile note 4 because N910T has more LTE bands unlocked then any other note 4 models actually more bands then international models too.
