Maybe SonyMobile is gonna do something with it, or otherwise a big international webstore (like Expansys)

Agreed, I also prefer the ZL!

Already on the list. Pre ordered also on expansis. Can't wait for the zl hope it gets enough amino

Xperia Z camera samples against the iPhone 5 & Oppo Find 5

As we approach the launch of the Sony Xperia Z (C660X) we will no doubt see plenty of camera samples from the device as well as samples compared to other flagships of the day. To get the ball rolling, we have a number of camera samples below which compares the Xperia Z against the Apple iPhone 5 and Oppo Find 5.
What you see below are not the raw images themselves but 100% crops compared. Obviously there is a mega pixel difference between the Xperia Z/Oppo Find 5 which have 13MP CMOS sensors versus the 8MP sensor on the iPhone 5. The Xperia Z appears to come out on top in our view, with the HDR function working particularly well in a few shots.

can you post the full sized images?
Crops are good but a better comparison is with the full sized image as well

This is a FAKE firmware. It is not Taiwan(China) firmware.
This firmware is SONY StoreFront firmware, it is internal and have lots of retail demo applications.
The information from EMMA could prove what I say.

The soft buttons look really good, but they don't seem to be perfectly rendered, especially the one on the left has some pixels out of the circle.

On my Xperia SP (4.3) statusbar and navbar is not semi transparet like in your screen can you fix this?

actual Z4 Compact case

Hi guys! just want to share with you some info about the Z4 Compact, surely there are some of you who are interested
I work for a phone case company, and we have here an actual z4 compact case, it is about the same size as the z3 compact, and same camera and flash location, the only difference is the back edges are more rounded.
Want some pics? It's really almost identical to the z3c case.

Sure. Why not. But aren't they just calling it the Z5 compact?

I'm really looking forward this Z5 Compact. I think a fingerprint sensor is a great addiction to the already very good z3 compact I've got

How will the fingerprint reader work with a case since it's embedded in the power button ?

There will likely be a hole just as there is in many z3/z3c's cases

In the picture above, on the Z5, the power button seems to be flat, unlike the camera and volume buttons.

seems like they've moved or entirely ditched the lanyard on the compact

I'm severely disappointed at how low the volume rocker is. I dont like that at all
