are you buying the pro version ? if so its only a 33k unlocker ..you buy it and it downloads and installs and then your regular apex is turned into the pro version

Is it possible to remove the original launcher?

I'm not sure, but you may be able to remove it from /system/app/ with root access.

Like Marvlesz said, you need root access and you can delete it. But why bother? Install Home Manager and you can switch among multiple launchers any time.

[Q] How to update an application in custom rom ?

Hi,
I use Racht Froyo à.15 custom ROM.
I would like to update the app Launcher Pro Plus with the new version.
I already have the .apk file.
So I tried to delete the old one and replace it by the new one in the /system/app directory but when I reboot, I stuck on Froyo logo.
How it is possible to do that ?
Thank
First you must install other launcher like adw and then remove launcher pro
Thanks for your quick reply !
I will try that
can't you just open newer apk file in file manager and there is option uninstall or update. It's so in all apps I noticed but don't know how about launcher.
how do you remove the stock launcher and replace it with another launcher?

There should be no miui launcher left!!

Just set it as default when you install it. Then you'll never see miui launcher ever again.
Or if you want to take it to the extreme, you can use titanium backup to fully remove miui launcher after you've installed launcher pro. But honestly I don't recommend it. Just stick with the first solution bud

If u decide not to keep miui don't move launcher pro to SD. . Or use a root explorer and move /data/app/ launcher pro (I think its a different name but same icon) to /system/app and long press it, hit "permissions" and unchecked all 3 on the 3rd row, and the 3rd one on the second row. Save. Reboot.

Titanium backup pro has the option to integrate into the rom, just find launcher pro and long press and you will see it. I do this all the time with go launcher it lets you still do a factory reset safely, whereas it would disappear and you would have no launcher if you didn't D:

install launcher pro... select as default after pressing home button...
use a root enabled file explorer e.g. root explorer...
navigate to & mount system/app/
rename Miuihome.apk (think that's its name) to Miuihome.bak...
done ^^ no more Miuihome.apk a.k.a MIUI stock launcher :highfive:

ZE552KL WW_14.2020.1703 update disable theme, need earlier SystemUI

Seems like theming is no longer possible on WW_14.2020.1703. All themes can't be downloaded, instead, it sends 'waiting' message that seems to last forever. Anyone experiencing this? If by any chance. SystemUI apk from earlier version of android N could be shared, preferably from 1701, it would be much appreciated. I'd like to go back to a theme that brings me closest to stock android quick setting appearance.

If you have rooted, just disable themes app, change the apk in system with an older version released at the end of last year, enable and wipe data. If app crashes, wipe theme app data, disable, reboot and enable.

I also tried to install compatible themes (according to developers description from Playstore) with Asus launcher but no luck. I don't have root. Is there another method without root access ?
I like Asus launcher but i hate his icons/notifications

Icon packs does a better job for that. You don't need themes. I prefer icon pqcks from Sourabh Gupta. He updates icons frequently and all his icon packs has 5700+ icons. His latest Android O Icon Pack is pretty awesome. It is paid though.

I'm afraid that's not possible without root unless Asus re-enable the option in future update. I think the transparency of quick setting might cause issue(s) with currently available themes. And you're right, quick setting with the rounded toggles and notifs, especially in lock screen, are painfully ugly.
Hi guys, there's a fresh post https://www.xda-developers.com/downgrade-an-app-android-no-root/ , anyone has successfully downgraded to earlier version of zenui with third party theme support?
