Beware of the complications of the new folder structure in 4.2, see the CM 10.1 discussion thread for more info. This of course does not apply to the CM9 build.
CM9 is based on the ics-release branch, it is the most stable/smooth release here.
AOKP is based on the jb-mr1 branch, meaning it is 4.2.2.
PA is based on the jellybean-legacy branch, it too is 4.2.2.
PAC is on the cm-10.1 branch, again 4.2.2.
Phone calls seem to be broken on the latest builds, also I've noticed the absence of a menubutton on the latest PA, looking in to that...

Very cool! Is this based on 4.1 or 4.2? Can't wait to check it out!
Nevermind, I googled it. 4.2. Also it's clearly in your screen cap. Sorry, i got excited.

Thank you, fixed in OP now.

I've the same problem than with the other ROM 4.2.1, my keyboard BLOCK. I can't type an adress in Sygic for example.
Have you a solution ?
I don't want back to stock ROM

What you mean by "BLOCK"? It is shown, but you cannot type? Is it hidden? What keyboard do you use?

Great!! An AOKP rom for our tablet! I really like AOKP rom. I have two GT 8.9 3G version, one run with AOKP Milestone 6 (ICS 4.0.4) and the other run with CM10.1.
Tonight i try this rom (in the tablet with CM10.1) and then feedback you.
Thankyou for your work!! :good::good::good::good:
---------- Post added at 04:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:49 PM ----------
The link don't work......

Working on preliminary links as my internet is down ATM.
EDIT: Up again.

The rom is amazing! There are a lot of features for customing the UI (status bar, navigation bar, ecc. ecc.) much more than CM. For this i love AOKP....
My keyboard works perfectly. The build are early but stable.
The gsm call works (but when screen go off the sound mute).
The hotspot wifi (tethering wifi) is NOT working.
Anyhow the project is excellent and i hope will be continued....

Tryed the USB Host with a pen drive FAT32 and works fine.
And also, when you remove the drive, DON'T appears the pesky error popup "android.process.media has stopped" like in CM9 and CM10.
But the NTFS drive it's no detected...
Bye!

So far so good... This looks very nice
Thanks for developing a ROM for the 8.9!

Finally I get my Tablet UI back - tusen tack! Installed right on top of CM 10.1 without hitches (as expected).
Looks really promising, only caveat I've found so far is Netflix refusing to show movies in anything else than portrait. Seems like there might be some rotational issues still left. Apart from that it's really stable for an early build. Looking forward to the future of this ROM!

Sadly I am not experienced enough to fix any bugs on my own, so development mostly lies on the AOKP team, C-o-M and pershoot. I can of course look in to things, though that doesn't mean I'll find a fix.

Sv: [ROM][JB-mr1/4.2.2] AOKP [2013-02-20]
Lo and behold - a new release below the radar! A little reluctant considering the lack of changelog and the word "untested" but too curious not to try it...
Rotational issues (apart from boot logo): 0%
Smoothness: 100%
Best ROM yet for my GTab - I don't know how you do it but whatever you do don't stop! I'm simply amazed. Strong words, I know, but this is all I ever wanted.

Cool project! Is there a build thread?
Sent from my GT-P7300 using xda app-developers app

Will be installing it on my own tablet now as I didnt have it at the computer. Also I have done nothing but built this, any performance difference (over cm 10.1) is all on the AOKP team. As for changelog you can have a look the AOKP gerrit to see all the things that are added, though that is quite the read since it includes every little change to anything. The the AOKP official build changelogs are sadly not going to be quite right so I haven't bothered.

I did a first time install of 7.2.0 yesterday using the supplied kernel (as Doomlord is stil working on an optimal one). I'll report back with findings once an update to that is released.
The latest nightly changelog suggests ICS is st starting to be merged

Its hard to say I don't think it will be long giving how long it took them to code gingerbread to my nexus one
keep folowing the changelog, they're doing a great job!
i saw they've started to merge ICS stuff, by that mean the CM7 will become CM9 if they'll merge the ICS source code?
They may be merging ICS source with CM source, but they won't be releasing it for devices for quite some time. I expect the first nightlies to be around January / February time
I still don't understand the difference between the nightlies and the progress the team free xperia makes here in the boards with their FXP0xx releases :/
Which one is better / more up to date ?
Thanks,

The nightlies are compiled everyday and contain any additions to git from that day. The FXP releases are usually around a weekly release cycle.
The nightlies contain more recent code changes so are "more up to date", but you run the risk of using not fully tested code and so may be buggy (I've encountered a boot-loop with CM nightlies before, so fresh backups are needed).
There is no "better" version, just whichever you prefer.

[INFO] [i9020] CyanogenMod 9 Kangs

Just like king23adrianc's CM7 Kang thread, here's one for CM9 Kangs.
Kangs are unofficial Cyanogen builds built by members of the community. They're not supported by the CM team at all, and in many cases aren't supported by the person who cooked the kang.
Kangs can contain features (cherry picks) that haven't been committed into the official nightlies, so you get some pretty cool cutting-edge features that aren't in the official rom. Sometimes these features get built-in to the official CM roms, sometimes they don't.
If you're not familiar with flashing roms, this probably isn't the place for you. Read up on it a bit, make yourself familiar with what you're doing and ALWAYS make a backup of your rom, in case something goes wrong.
For the latest kangs, start at the end of the thread.
To start, here's a link to the euroskank kangs for CM9:
http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/skankwich/?id=crespo
Sweet! Lets get it started..
Here's a CM9 (alpha) kang I just compiled @ 6pm PST 11/29/11.
No Cherry Pick: Download (deleted)
Cherry pick version: Download (deleted)
-Dialer Landscape Mode
-Preferences: initial Preferences Activity, Provider and XML
-v3 RIL: another getDataCallState fix
-Revert "Bug 5003361: No Android Dreams in Settings / Display"
I appreciate those who make them without cherry picks. Thanks a lot
Also don't forget everyone that you need to fix super user after every flash and should also flash gapps everytime for the time being.

Can you guys tell me how is this rom?
I use koushik cm9 11.
Wifi? 3g/2g? mms? calendar sync? data usage? thetering? google talk video?
What else...
Is it smooth? What about cherry picks?
Whats the difference?
Why there is nothing in nexus s android dev forum? (many persons tell this rom is great)
What about the UI? Stock ICS? Launcher? Stock?
Sorry for asking u so many questions but I couldnt find anything
Thanx
what i've noticed about the euroskank builds so far:
CM power button options (screenshot, reboot recovery, ect).
Data usage seems broken, at least with the stock kernel. edit: kernel related, flashed different one and fixed.
I use the latest, seemingly unrleased gapps from http://download.clockworkmod.com/test/gapps-ics-20111128.zip
I delete the Maps.apk from the gapps zip before flashing so I can install latest from market (or else you will be stuck with old version and wont be able to upgrade).
edit: rename or delete superuser.apk in /system/app/ and download from market. the one included in the rom forcecloses. No reboots necessary.
Ns4g???

I've noticed each kang/release is getting smaller and smaller. I remember we started out at around 175mb.
Anyone know what's going on? Lots of code cleanup, duplicates being deleted maybe?

[ROM] UNOFFICIAL AOKP nightly builds

UNOFFICIAL AOKP Nightly Builds
Since AOKP development has started picking up with their addition of their new Gerrit server, I've decided to release nightly builds for AOKP. These should be released every day anywhere from 6-9pm depending on when I get time to do it. Also, some days I might not get the time. However, it should be almost every day that a new build comes out.
All credits go toward the entire AOKP team for their efforts in making one of the most customizable builds out there right now. It is absolutely fantastic.
You can download it by sorting by date uploaded right here on my goo.im profile:
http://goo.im/devs/rohan/tenderloin/aokp_nightlies
Note: These downloads are provided untested. This might break your system so be sure to keep a backup handy. Nightly builds are usually more unstable than any other type of ROM, but if you want the latest features then use this. I do not take responsibility for anything that may happen to your system.
Another note: These downloads do not come with any sort of support. Do not ask for help in IRC for aokp if you are running these nightlies. They are not official and thus are not officially supported. So don't go and give roman and the other devs a headache
And another note: They don't come with gapps, download those separately from goo.im or some other source.
You should just be able to download and install the zip in CWM, then wipe caches. Reboot and enjoy. No other wiping is needed, only caches.
Right now I am building on my personal PC (I don't have a server) so I apologize if it takes a while to get builds up! My system isn't the fastest at making builds haha
I will be making these ROMs updateable via the goo.im app probably this weekend, I don't have much time right now to figure out how it works.
If you want to find out when I release the new nightly, follow me on twitter: http://twitter.com/rohanXm
Looking forward to it!

Yup you need to reflash the Package and nope its the default Cyanogenmod Kernel.
This build is 100% AOKP "stock", as in its simply compiled from source with no changes.

The Supreme mods work fine but the xenon kernel broke my wifi (not had any wifi issues on any build) so back to cyanogen kernel and everything is working
The latest nightly (5/07) fixed my screen off/sound bug. All previous builds of AOKP had a muffled or distorted sound bug that appeared once I dimmed the screen while playing music. Bravo! I believe the fix came from the Classicnerd team, who once again prove they are contributing in remarkable ways. Bravo to them as well!
is this wifi driver included in the nightlys?

[ROM]AOKP on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

AOKP is releasing very frequently for other devices, like maguro.
They also say that "We are working with the guys at CyanogenMod to submit our features & enhancements back upstream to their source".
http://aokp.co/index.php/news
But, what about the contrary?
CM 10 seems to have solved the camera issue in the tablet.
http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/?p=2860
Isn't it time to speed up a little the development of the jb ROM for it?
Seems Roman (http://aokp.co/index.php/supported_devices/_/samsung/) is not finding that much time do it alone.
Hope we do not get left behind...

Maybe rant was the wrong word to use. But still, he originally posted this thread in the Dev section with no intention to take matters into his own hands and build from AOKP source. So instead, he aired his grievance that we have no AOKP before triptosyll started building for the GTab 10.1.

I agree that the second post was after triptosyll started compiling from source (a simple oversight from me), but nevertheless, he probably didn't look in dev to see that AOKP is now available in JB.
Sorry I was a bit slow...

Thanx for clearing that up for me, I was a bit slow.
(I'm a junior member without enough posts to post in the DEV area, so I'm posting on this thread which seems like the best alternative available to me.)
I've been happily using triptosyll's original AOKP build for the last week or two, and recently upgraded to his Nov 8th build. I ran into some problems with the 4.2 Gapps, so I wiped and reinstalled the ROM with Formula84's 4.1.2 Gaps from GooManager. They are working superbly with the A1 1.7.5 kernel and the latest AOKP build from triptosyll. (The stock browser is still gone, but I don't miss it.) Camera, Gallery, Calendar Sync, Keyboard, bluetooth, etc, all seem to be working fine.
I'm SO happy to have AOKP working again on the Galaxy Tab 10.1! I'm also using the TWRP 2.3 recovery from the A1 Kernel OP and it seems to be working great so far. I've been running into a lot of troubling bootloops and hangs when installing new ROMs using ClockworkMod, so I'm glad to have a different recovery to try.
Thanks to all the devs who are keeping the GT-P75xx alive after Samsung has mostly abandoned us!

Can you put the link to the working gapps?
Also, if they are 100% working, we should also report to triptosyll.

I've been out of pocket for a few days and it looks like the latest gapps from triptosyll are working pretty well for people. But if anyone is interested, I'm still using Formula84's since I've had good luck so far with those. Formula84 gaps are available on Goo at http://goo.im/devs/Formula84/gapps-jb-20121012-4.1.2-JZO54K.
I install:
gapps-jb-20121012-JZO54K-Formula84.zip
gapps-addon-JZO54K-Newer_Then_Market.zip
gapps-addon-JZO54K-Picasa-Sync.zip
Note that these are 4.1.2 gapps with a few items from 4.2: gesture keyboard, 4.2 Gmail. But it doesn't have the 4.2 camera (no photosphere). Read the thread for the deets. The development thread for is on RootzWiki: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/31532-gapps-412-485486-jzo54k-gapps-package-1012/
Everything I've tried has been working fine. I'm now running the Nov-12 build from triptosyll's OP with these gapps.

Nope, no official build available yet for crespo.
Cominggggg CM10.1 Experimental
They also have it running for Crespo4G. I'm running Jellyshot right now, but looking forward to seeing what the CM team does with this phone!
Hells yeah. I can't wait for the first nightlies to hit.
I have never done this before, so take this with a grain of salt, but I am currently syncing with the cm10.1 repo. Hoping to have a build for the Crespo4G soon.
That being said, syncing has been going on for about 6 hours. Damn 3mbps.
Update:
9.3GB takes a long time to download on a horrible connection. The bun is officially in the over. I'll report back when I have any news.
Just a question regarding cm 10.1. I am running cm10 now. I have installed the 4.2 camera and gallery from a post on here awhile back. If and when I update to 10.1, Well the new camera app change or will I need to manually replace it?

When flshing the gapps package from goo.im, all google apps will be replace!.. maybe the apps will be twice on your your device, but you can disable the former gallery and camera in your apps settings..
and i would say do a full wipe befor 10.1.. or between every bigger system update
Sorry, but this is a false alarm. The person who coded this webpage has automatically (and incorrectly) coded all nightlys as cm10.1. Check out all of the links - surely nightlys from September and October are not cm10.1? There are no cm10.1 nightlies for crespo / nexus s yet. See link: http://get.cm/crespo.

ROM Manager
Uhm ... I've just launched Rom Manager and in the CyanogenMod Nightlies I found 10.1 ... of yesterday
To post an update on the status of my NS4g build:
I got to the point where it goes to build, then sat there. For 20 hours. No files were written even though my CPU was at 100% all day/night.
Anyways, I'm also running out of space, 5.6GB free which isn't enough, so I'm going to load ubuntu on my desktop and try it on there.
Have you tried flashing it? I am on my way to office right now, can't wait, will probably flash it in office today

I try it!! All work for now
That is a bit funny how the 17Dec12 nightly for 10.1 is in ROM Manager, but not on the get.cm website nor on the cyanogenmod updater in settings...
