Late February release for Nexus 4 - Ubuntu Touch General

So I've recently seen that Ubuntu will be releasing the source for the OS at Mobile World Congress 2013, being held between 25 – 28th of*February.
Now its undoubtedly going to be open source, But they have released a statement saying that it could be a few months until they (Ubuntu) release .IMG files for most if not all Android devices.
So if you have a Nexus 4 and have been waiting for Ubuntu on your device, Then the wait is almost over. But expect it to be buggy and restricted as its a brand new OS.

Didn't we already know this?
Thanks, but the 17 other threads indicating this will suffice.
Mod please close this thread. We already knew this 20 times over already. Besides we will have our 2.1 once the Eris gets it in Jan.

Now come on... you know people think they shouldn't have to read.

iROM

this could (will) be (extremely) useless, but can we port iROM to our dz? it would be... kinda good if we just flash the ROM, and see how fast our dz is...

Wasn't that an April Fools?

it's impossible as ios is strongly modified in comparison to standard unix/linux systems and it's closed source anyway meaning compatiblity is only limited to apple products that has it as oem. palm webos, nokia maemo can be easier to port but still there are so much differrences as android isn't pure linux too.

What will be the big news for 2013?

For the HD2 of course
Android 5, windows 8, windows rt, battery drivers for windows 7, or...
Realistic guesses welcome.

Maybe Project Butter on JellyBean?
^I am hoping for this more than anything else
And maybe a fully working Sense 4?
apple os 6.1 that would be great
Yeah, probably iOS since almost all OS runs on HD2. WP8 probably gets released to the public.
I agree with Marvlesz, project butter on jb, fully working Sense4. Others will come..
Just one question:
Why the heck would anyone want iOS to be ported? You can't do anything special on it and it's a waste of time for devs although it would be nice to have it in our collection.
iOS, just because you can...
And how upset would Apple be

Yeah, only because of Apple and it's fanboys(gays) to prove them that their phone isn't the best.

Why the dreams? I think MAGLDR UEFI will probably be released in the following two weeks.

Wait you was trying to develop custom ROMs for profit?
I was not developing ROMs for profit.

A few hours ago was announced the cessation of maintenance activity in all custom ROMs for the K10 by no donations. So development and original cloud storage are now fully closed.
Until the development retakes you can download the latest builds from the following web link:

Who said development has stopped? We are doing whatever we can for development. We also ported OREO except RIL doesn't work in it. We just closed down CloudROMs. That's it!

Five lucky participants are gonna receive the OPPO Product Ambassadors Swag Bag (which will be released in mid-June).
This thread is only for the conversations about sharing your home screen or lock screen. Please adhere to the XDA rules when you participate.
The biggest prize you guys could give us is the possibility to unlock the bootloader. I know you guys are only ambassadors, but why promote an unlockable phone in an "all things custom" forum? As far as I know ambassadors should represent the brand in other places but also bring the consumers needs/wishes back to the brand. Please, this could a big thing to be able to continue upgrading our phones even after the 3-years support period is gone. That would also be a huge sales advertisement!
