Well it will depend on your hardware ... When you asked if it could be ran on Android it sounded like you wanted to install it like an app.

No. Why? Because if you install this operating system, it will remove android.

Oh... Im stupid sometimes. Jolla will not probably, but if the drivers are easily portable from android to sailfish the developers of xperia ray community might port it.

I wonder why no dev try to amend the stock webtop
many of them just use linux.......
that is linux base, then android, then linux again....
I used ubuntop, wich is the only "usable" webtop imho.

Is ubuntop faster then original webtop?

The ubuntop file size is too large.
Is there any dev make a 200mb file size ubuntop?
You must use webtop2sd to run it.

To summarize the thread.....................
What alternatives to webtop are available?
Ubuntop! But Because of it's larger file size you must use webtop2sd.

what would you improve in gentop2 actually? it all works... the next step would be to get new drivers (which we obviously cant get) and update the system to hardfloat (if possible, i think due to android being softfloat that is out of the question)...

Open WebOs is it possible to port to x10?

As per the tittle, since open webOs beta has been released. it has a desktop version running linux for developing and porting it to new devices and a embedded thingy which i have now idea what is. anyway, what I'm asking is, is it possible to port it to our x10 might be something nice and new for us to experience
