[rom] gingerxperia new development

I' m a new user in this forum but i now very well our x8 !
First of all hello everybody!
Most of you know that the fantastic gingerxperia rom is dead ( it don't have new update no more )
For this reason i'd like to take the project development because it can't die !
Probably i didn't respect a lot of rules ,sorry for this but i've no time to read all of them!
I wan't to create a team for continuing the development of GINGERXPERIA ROM
So everybody wants to update this rom contact me via skype at lorks22 account or pm me !

Hmm well I remember someone I guess CCknot who continue FDE because the developer no longer active and never say any words about his developments and he continues it. So I guess it would be ok until such time I guess that he complains about it. Ill talk to some mods regarding your issue. "If the dev can no longer be contacted is xda would someone allow to continue the dead development."

Hi lorks,
I sent a message to some mods and admins about your issues, and from some questions to other members it turned out that xperianfan has an issue with that ROM and sadly discourage by mods to continue the development. I will send pm to colossus coz I guess his the one who dealt with that ROM and ask for some background.

Official jb experience!!

So, the official update is here. Atleast in some regions while others wait for it. Though numerous roms r out with jb, I thought we could just start a thread for getting the people who wait for it excited (already excited, even so.). so, let us begin with the changes, one question I would like to ask is about the startup of phone app? Is it still slow? Thought, I felt my phone blazing fast, the instant I press phone , it just bring down the smile. . Comeon people!! Share!!!!:thumbup:

Just thought of creating a thread where everyone can share if they feel like instead of asking who wish to know the experience by looking at number of other post! Isn't this a forum which is actually built to Help other people? What is so wrong with just sharing some experience? Is it so forbidden or something? Comeon people!!

Atrix 4g thanks and donation

Hey guys, long time reader although never really posted much. Over the next few days I'll be getting my new phone in the mail and begin setting that up. I wondered what to do with this phone that has been made great thanks to the devs here. So I'd like to donate it to one of those devs who has put in a lot of hard work for the good of this community. I remember reading a while back that some of them only have photons and just change some code around. I figured it might help everyone out by donating to one of those guys. It's the least I can do considering I've been using ICS and JB since they came out thanks to everyone here, not Motorola lol. If anyone could suggest a dev or if one of you see this yourself just send me a pm. It might be a week or two but the phone is in great shape still! Thanks guys again for all the great work. Oh last thing, I'd prefer that you be in the US if possible just so the shipping isn't outrageous. Thanks!

I would recommend Th3Bill. He makes a bunch of ROMs for this community and doesn't even own an Atrix.

OK, I knew when I wrote that it was either him or joker that didn't have an Atrix. Thanks, I'll send him a pm.

I was planning on doing the same thing with my Atrix once I get a Nexus 4. I actually live in the same city as Th3Bill.

Don't forget mmontuori. I was actually thinking of donating my second atrix to him since I'm in a skyrocket, but I believe he's outside the us? Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. Us people who want to donate should definitely get together so we make sure all the awesome developers have an atrix to work with!

Joker doesn't have one either.

Don't forget epinter. He already has an Atrix but I'm sure he could do a lot more of his "magic" with a second one, specially if this one has a different tegrapart.
The only problem: epinter is from Brazil, but I'm not sure where he lives.

Let's also not forget mmontuori, he also has one already but now he's working on a new experimental ROM which he said is becoming increasingly more difficult since he needs his phone for normal everyday stuff too...
But anyway, I agree Th3Bill is probably the best candidate. Joker would be a good one too if he was still active, and to my knowledge all other devs have at least one already. Hmmm... maybe faux123 too? Dunno if he has one or is he even still interested in working for the Atrix...

May vote goes to mmontuori. He kindly ask for second Atrix

I have two Atrix, eventually I get the other for some tests, but it's dangerous, it's from my wife.

I'm giving my vote to Th3bill guys, he has like 5 ROMS for the Atrix, and he doesnt even have one! Major well done to him!

I know that Th3bill is good guy but with mvniekerk we may have a new kernel. Without new kernel, no one could make stable ICS/JB with hwa.

Everyone, try to think about who is the most deserving and what makes the most sense. Not what serves your own interests.
Shipping a used device to South Africa for mvniekirk doesn't make much sense. Shipping would probably cost more than the device is worth. You don't pay shipping on PayPal donations, so support him that way.
Joker is AWOL and has been for months. He is certainly worthy of the donation, but might not even use it.
So it really comes down to Th3Bill or mmontuori (since he requested one and is certainly worthy).

dude, if this is legit, I'd love to have slim ROM!(sorry been hurtbefore on another phone I owned) I've tried building it for myself, but didn't work out. do you have any reputable sources of your work?

I honestly kind of just feel like posting here until it goes up. I dont know what kernel Unjust was talking about with vanir though, he mentioned we had to flash a kernel to get some things working in another thread. So I wont flash it until I know what he is talking about.

Its in general under kernels and flash able tweaks last page I recommend the one with twrp 2.5 and devil

Yeppers and here is post that has the other variants like:: devil w/cwm,,, cm w/twrp, etc...
There are in the main post of my thread,,, slightly better organized...
I've tried to give descriptions to all the that deviate from a std devil kernel, and referencing the ROM too if anyone needs better clarification...
Been thinking about cleaning up my OP some,,,, we have so many more choices then when i started it, it was only 'devil or cm',,, no twrp and no mixtures of recoveries and kennels,,,
Plus with kernel control apps,,, most were only going with one or two,,, so i searched and tried to push the envelope, spent tons of hours testing what apps would work with the kernel since jb had broken some of those beloved features,,, but i think most understand now and have their favorite...

Tried the Vanir ROM, had a few problems with it. I could not toggle WiFi on/off. None of my root apps could obtain root access. Several issues with Superuser

Testers needed for p51xx models....

After seeing and reading many requests from p51xx users .....in my other threads...
I decided to make a rom for them....
But the issue is I don't have the device.....so responsibility of testing part should be taken by users....
So any p51xx users ready to test my rom ....please pm me your phone number with device model....
I expect p5100 users especially to test rom....
Rom is coming today before creating thread I want to test the rom....from users....
