as i know that flipout and flipside are the same software but different device, i suggest u the CM7 of laxidian, it works really smooth for flipside as it supports arabic as well, if u r interested i can post u a link of the latest one with the gaps and bootloader sbf,,,

depending on the os you running, I used Cygwin with the Rom Kitchen. that said you need to copy your system folder and framework (I think) over.
Search the forum for it and good luck. will try and find the post when I get a chance.

i acutally watched the thread on how to deodex with cygwin and kitchen, i'll give it a shot
i tried a lot of different ways to deodex, it all failed, except one and when when i push the framework and app some stuff don't work like contacts
i hope the Cygwin way work

So, I'm runing WIUI 2.8.2 on my Defy, and can't get that damn services.jar work right. Upon supercharging, on automatic downloading stops saying "ERROR: service.jar cannot be patched! Reason: It's already_modified " Then "Invalid entry ... please try again ". This means that the services.jar that came with WIUI is already patched, and it shows that "SuperCharger ADJ Entries ARE NOT Patched In" ... so my phone is supercharged 0% ...
Any opinions?
Earlier I've tried the same V6 Supercharger (latest version) on Quarx's CM10, but I couldn't do the automatic service.jar uploading to the patching website, and the manual method ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16635544#post16635544 ) is damn confusing, didn't know exactly what to modify and where.
So if someone could share a working WIUI or CM10 service.jar, or explain the manual patch of that file would be a great help to many of us.

I am on Android Revolution HD and would want to ODEX the entire ROM. Can anyone please suggest a odexing tool or script that I can use.
I have tried the odex script by MatrixDJ96 but there are some error that pop up.

i made an odexing script for the MK6 firmware here MK6 DUMP
however it works on all roms.

yes it will
all you need to do is change the update binary and updater script with one from our phone in the final rom zip kitchen generates after building

But I used a stock rom of my device
Not sure if it had update script or updater script

heres mine unzip attachment for stock based roms - you just need to edit the wording and use the symlinks from the one kitchen generates
there are guides to using kitchen if you need further help

because you will most likely get status 0 error when you flash it in cwm or error 6 or 7
please search for any guides you require

kitchen creates the symlinks for you
you only have to edit the mount points that are above the symlinks
compare with other updater scripts for this phone
flash it and you will see if it needs to be changed

I encountered a similar problem where I couldn't recompile. It was because the referenced package I was referencing (in framework-res.apk) was missing from the compile command. I had to use the -I command to reference the framework-res.apk package for compilation.
Code:
aapt package -S res/ -M AndroidManifest.xml -f -v -F framework-res-overlay.apk -I ~/Documents/framework-res-overlay/framework-res.apk

It certainly takes a little time investment. Make sure you download the android SDK. That will give you the ability to download the build tools. I personally haven't had luck with apktool for making overlays. Anecdotal, I know but the official dev tools are just as easy to use once you understand how to use them properly.
