Dunno, they get some really bad reviews on their site. Not fitting nicely, peeling off,..

Bestskinsever.com get the case optimized one if u use cases. I got the full body one so I could have a back glass protector also. I threw the side pieces out though. Ive use lots of protectors over the years these are my favorite by far and they having amazing customer service

At first I bought one from eBay, it wouldn't stay on, lifted off at the edges. It also was missing the cutouts on the top left side. It made the screen look terrible.

I got a Zagg one from a retailer in the mall and had them put it on. I also have Cruzerlite case, you have to wait a day for the wet application of the Zagg screen protector to dry fully otherwise the case starts to lift the film on the edges.

Another cool feature of wet application protectors fill in lots of minor scratches and makes your screen look better. over time I've gotten better at putting them on but even my first looked better then 100's of times I've put a dry protector on.

Unboxing Trouble

Hey guys
I am having trouble taking the first cover off it sounds really stupid though.
The first cover with the Nexus Logo and at the back it says Made for google play etc.
How should you take it off, I have tried to remove it the same way as unboxing people on YT. tried to unstuck it by using a knife to see if it was stuck no luck.
Any advice / help ?

Greater satisfaction if you use a sledge hammer.
Resale value is so much more when you have the box(s) intact
I'm still trying to slide mine's out...
EDIT: It's like trying to separate mating dogs..

Try spraying it with cold water...
Box is very tight when removing the top cover. Be careful as the tablet is just underneath and it doesn't have much walls protecting it. So if the box was sideways as you were taking out the lid then the tablet might drop out of the box. Open the box on top of a table and keep the box leveled so the tablet cant slide out.
i have ordered a nexus and hope i can open the box quicker....

I had some initial trouble as well...you just have to keep trying to push the end of the box, while gripping the edges of the sleeve that covers it. Once you get it moving, it will slide off. Then, there are two black sealing stickers on each long side. Once you cut those, the box top is also a little tight, but you'll notice that there's room on the short edges to stick your finger underneath and pull the bottom of the box down. and voila...behold your Nexus 7.

I laughed at this thread before i got my hands on the box and the OP is right lol the box was truly a bit difficult to open compared any android device ive ever opened, gotta be rough with it!
I began with olive oil to get that 'easy open' feel. However, when that failed, I realised the answer had been there all along, advertised by Google itself: Project Butter.
Thus, I got my n7 out of the box. 2 hours later it was dead

Nexus 4 Bumper Issue

I received my bumper from the Play Store a few days ago. I really like the feel and shape of it, but there is a weak spot in the design of the plastic. Mine has a crack right below the USB port. I don't recall it being there when I received it, but it could have been. And now because of this crack, the plastic on each side of the USB port is angling up towards the middle. If or when the crack spreads all the way through the plastic, then it will be only the rubber part holding it together. Anyone else experiencing this?

Nothing wrong on my end. It kind of looks like the result of the usb cord you may be using. Are you using the usb cable that was supplied with the phone or are you using a third party micro usb cord? Looks like the plastic part of the usb cord is pressing against the plastic where under enough pressure.

That would be pressure in the opposite direction. What you are describing is downward pressure on the plastic, which would close the crack, not pry it apart. I think the crack is a weak spot in the design and happens when installing the bumper. The U-shape of the plastic is akin to pulling apart a Turkey wishbone until it breaks.

Thanks for reply, but I don't see any advantages of taking it off. Applying screen protector without bubbles is a hard procedure and I will do it only when stock protector needs to be changed.

ive had my phone since middle of january. i have it uncovered, completely naked, no case whats so ever, and my screen is perfect, without any scratches. and im not that careful
Fork out some cash and get a decent screen protector. I do not have to deal with bubbles from screen protector for a long time. You can try Spigen or Skinomi. I use iloome tempered glass.
The texture of that plastic sheet that come with the phone isn't even very good for touch usage.
You can try watered down acetone to remove the paint maybe.

It'seems unusual to find scratches like those in pics. I would simply return it no point keeping it.
It seems like pressure points but to an extreme extent. I would probably just return it and get a new one if you can.

Got the same case I have gotten for every phone since I switched to Samsung with the GS6. The things are gorgeous, I can't see covering that up.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GIUIBFQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Same case I get for every device. The Ringke slim. Almost like nothing at all, providing minimal protection. It's all I've ever needed.
This is the Spigen Neohybrid Crystal case with gunmetal siding. I think if you want to show the original colors, this case makes it look better than a pure clear case as the bumper provides a nice contrast in texture and look. I liked the blue coral phone exterior but not so much for the gold edging. The gunmetal edging fixed that and the clear case retained the original look.

Bummer, mine dropped from around 4-5 ft from my back pocket. Landed square on the top right corner, I have the S View flip case, case ended up with a little road rash, but to my relief the phone came out unscathed. Haven't carried it in my back pocket since, I think it's to tall and not wide enough to back pocket unlike the Nexus 6... Seems to fit in the front pocket better than previous Notes IMO...
