As you have all heard MIUI 4.0 is in the works! They even skipped releasing a ROM for the Nexus S last week because of BETA work. Well it appears that they will be releasing 4.0 ICS for Nexus S this Friday...

Wondering if I should switch back to miui and set it up with my current ics setup? That way I could easily upgrade to miui 4.0.
I read this earlier today.

Definately not stable. stable enough to use as a daily build but not stable as in not able to do everything.

Did you even try ics port of touchwiz? Its super fast. And our phone can handle tw5 launcher with ease, and other parts. You must be using your device wrongly.

Yes..u must flash another kernel to make this rom boot..AOSP or CM Kernel will work
any mirror?
is too slow!!!
Played around with it for a bit last night. Really like changing status bar icon color without using a theme, and changing ui modes without reboot.

any word on getting a ns4g port? I gave it a quick shot the other night and I couldn't get it to boot. It was prior to the posts regarding flashing a new kernel, however. But since I'm already stretched thin working on 3 other roms I wouldn't mind passing this on to another dev
It include the PIE navigation system ??
I also have a working build of this ROM. Pie ils working. I am actually trying to fix the issues.
I can also do a Crespo4G build, will do this when I've free time.

If you run it, you're going to get a brick. it's not meant for the Nexus 4. You can't run a older OS on a newer device that absolutely has no support for it.

That's a big "no" unless you have some serious software skills and a lot of time on your hands.

I have a Perfect Solution for you.
Just sell out your device and purchase 5 Samsung Galaxy Y (S5360) Devices. You could use GingerBread as well and YOU WILL HAVE 5 PHONES AT A TIME.
WOWW
Source : My Cousin! (ASIF KHAWAJA.)
if you can write the drivers for the n4 and 2.3, and port 2.3 to the n4, then you can run 2.3 on the n4. drivers for the n4/2.3 dont exist, so you would have to write them yourself.

Looking for a new rom as a daily driver

I've grown bored of CM, Slim, and Paranoid Android, so I'm looking for an interesting rom, my main stipulation is the source has to be out there so I can go and look around in it (and likely build it since I'm weird like that), MIUI looks interesting, but I'm still looking to see if the source is out there.
So I'm looking for input, does anyone have any suggestions of a ROM I can take, build and customize my own version of and use as my main rom?
I don't believe MIUI releases source code.
And essentially any AOSP ROM that has a repo can easily be built. I used AICP to build from its repo and it worked fine. Customizing has different meanings to everyone.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I though miui was closed source not positive on that but either way its awesome ROM if you find anything good please share I was looking for something like MokeOS (sp?)
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
For what its worth I use and reccomend F2FS version of Carbon ROM, but it maybe too similar to CM,Slim,PA for you.
Found a good one I can work with, tried it in the past, at the time it was a bit much, anyway, it's PACman, I did like some of the things they did with it.
I suggest liquid smooth. Its super fast and there are a ton of built in customizations. And about the coolest boot animation I've ever seen

Why would anyone recommend miui. It looks like iOS lol go buy a damn iPhone
I recommend slimrom. Smooth, fast and stable.
