There are other dev that have done it for other phones maybe a few might have a couple of hints for you. CMB on 3vo might be be helpful.

I ported 'er. She ain't too pretty, but she runs.
This may be a bit of a challenge PA is now closed source so removing paranoid preferences will have to be done. It'll still have everything to work for paranoid, but the app will need to be installed after flash. We are getting closer ladies and gents..

If its possible it would be awesome if one of the developers here could port thishttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036446 to the evo shift? I would be so grateful if I could have this

I wanted to beta test as well... but tryed using the kitchen to port sensation roms, tried a few now.. cant get anything shaking. Clockwork tells me it expects 4 args and got 3 args. If anyone has any ideas or pointers i would much appreciate them! We could get this thing going with the know how!
Im always up for being a beta if you need one.
Does anyone have a possible ETA for when this will be released

if you are lazy for taking ONE minute to root that thing, what would you say about old rooting methods ? LOL
Not everyone wants to jump on the roms in the development section as yet. Especially with some of the issues that are being reported. Not many but enough to make me hesitate.

AOKP Rom for the Epic? YES! [AOKP-MS4-CM9-Beta0]

Was wondering if we could get this rom on our epics? Nexus and Galaxy Nexus users claim it is the best rom.
***AKOP + v6 mod*** [thank EpicCMteam, marcusant, Alias8818, zeppelinrox, and anyone else who contributed!]

It should be AOKP, not AKOP ... referring to the title. And didn't you post this before ?

Ohhhh' my mistake. Someone posted a thread about getting AOKP to the Epic, only a maintainer was needed. But nobody cared for whatever reason of their own.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
Before earthbound left he mentioned he was working on a new ROM for the Epic. Maybe its this.
I'd love to see what this might open up for us. I've heard it's right on par with cm, but a lot farther along already than cm9 in it's current state.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Diversity doesn't hurt...and maybe cm guys would be able to take ideas from them and actually squash some of those annoying ass bugs. And if they can't...well we'd have something to hold us down until they do
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Don't worry you'll get cm9 nightlies soon and problems will get fixed
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
Theoretically, you should be able to throw in the epic cm9 device tree and it should work.

Not entirely true lol.
I tried last month, in theory yes, some changes would ideally be needed as AOKP looks for some different things when building.
And AOKP is only aesthetically further along, they've more random options included, which I suppose is interesting.
This time around CM didn't want to flood the settings with a ton of things people don't use or readily understand.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
I'd love to see a couple more options to run various versions of ICS on our phones.. AOKP is supposed to be a great rom, so this would be my first choice in addition to the CM9 we have.

Stability? This way they have more time to check out and test changes. We don't have to flash on a daily basis, we probably won't have to worry about things suddenly being broken, and can probably more so just look forward to fixes and enhancements that have been tested.

Jason, I was thinking, how about the ATT Captivate 4.3 GPS files.I know Slim has a mature build already and the cappy is USA based configurations. Just my 2¢. I can ask PRB for it since he owns one....Lemme know on Hangouts!
The cappy files are exactly the same as the I9000. There should be a way to get it working with the right combo of available files.

I think you are going to see a drastic decline in ROM development with all the Xposed apps out there.
Pretty easy to download Xposed and the apps you want. Then do your own mods. Easier to tailor it how you want it. IMO
There is stuff in the works but I need experienced testers for some of these.
One test, which can be done through Odin, I am about to post.
Well that sucks, I personal like finding a rom that has the features and everything. I really hope someone develops a aosp rom.
