Known issues:
If you want to go back to CM10/9 or restore your backup, you'll have to do the following in recovery (do "install zip" and "choose zip from sdcard" first):
Code:
adb shell
# cd /sdcard/
# rm -rf legacy/
# rm -rf obb/
# mv -f 0/* .
# rm -rf 0/

but i am also curious why the "downgrade" process is so hard. i know from the razr that a few extra security checks have been implemented in 4.2 however it is still easily possible to go back to 4.1.2

First of all, you always have to do a factory reset when downgrading. Otherwise it may fail to boot because of force closes.
Android 4.2 is a bit more special. During the first boot everything on the external storage gets moved from /sdcard/ to /sdcard/0/. This is needed for the new multiuser feature (0 is the first user). When you go back to 4.1, the content is expected at /sdcard/. Since there is only the "0" folder, the standard folders (Music, Video, Download) will be created. Of course they are empty afterwards, while all the content is located in 0. The commands I listed above reverse the 4.1 to 4.2 data migration and put the files where 4.1 expects them.
More detailed:
On 4.1 the folder structure is the following:
Code:
/data/media/Alarms
/data/media/Android
/data/media/DCIM
/data/media/Download
/data/media/Movies
/data/media/Music
/data/media/Notifications
/data/media/Pictures
/data/media/Podcasts
/data/media/Ringtones
/data/media/clockworkmod
On 4.2 it is
Code:
/data/media/0/Alarms
/data/media/0/Android
/data/media/0/DCIM
/data/media/0/Download
/data/media/0/Movies
/data/media/0/Music
/data/media/0/Notifications
/data/media/0/Pictures
/data/media/0/Podcasts
/data/media/0/Ringtones
/data/media/0/clockworkmod
/data/media/legacy/
/data/media/obb/
CWM has to be updated to find the backups at /data/media/0/clockworkmod. I'll post a new version soon. But this doesn't solve the downgrade issue.

Nice work! Downloading and will try it out during xmas.
I'm just wondering how it feels. Any micro freezes or lags? Glitches? Smoothness and so on. Could you give your first hand
impression?
And for those who wants to try, but feel uncomfortable with ADB, i suppose you can transfer a copy of your backup to your PC
and then erase everything before installing preferred ROM via Odin, and then install CWM and restore backup? Just to make it easy.

Cool, gonna be tryin it after xmas, something nice to play around with. Cheers for this man!

Keyboard dock is a bit tricky. Pershoot removed the sec_keyboard binary. The whole driver is now in the kernel. But his changes are not fully compatible to our tab, whenever I plug in my dock, the tab shuts down and goes to charge mode.

New build.

ohwarumbloss I cooked the cm7.2 and the PDroid Framework together and integrated the PDroid apk into the system/app and made it flashable. Are you interested in me uploading this so you could provide another mirror ? Like a "All-in-one" Solution ?
I changed nothing else, you could just integrate it into your Post.

CyanogenMod 10.2 modded for Galaxy Ace
CyanogenMod 10.2 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.3 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

It seems to be stable for an experimental release.
But i think its not yet ready for daily usage because of not working camera for example.
I dont need camera atm so i use it as daily rom atm to find hidden bugs etc...

Yes but some devs only suspended work on ace untill android 4.4 kitkat is released as far as i know.
Kitkat should work on 512MB ram devices and might be released in october.
So kitkat might run better on ace as JellyBean but we'll see when sources are available if they'll resume working on Ace.

Cyanogenmod Account
Played a bit more with CM 10.2 and got some more features working
facebook contacts sync and cyanogenmod account
If you wanna test CM-Account yourself you'll find a cwm flashable zipfile in 2nd post.
after a clean install (+hotfix) i have tryd to install supersu, but both of the install options for the libs have been failed.
is that because the early experimental phase or unluck / fail of me? i have followed the instructions from susu.
In my tests, this ROM works well, the more I'm noticing that the battery is drained very quickly, anyway one more start than expected.

Thanks a lot Bitti, that's more clear with a thread for your roms.
Which one do you recommand me?
Edit : I just tried your last temaseck, flashed as an update (install and wipe cache, and dalvik) from audahadi build, working fine, deep sleep working.
There is a bug, like audahadi build, lockscreen cant get on landscape mode.
On Mi4 HDR makes camera app crash, and after can't connect to camera.
I'm unable to play surgeon simulator or real racing 3, both games are crashing.
@Riichard63 I can answer your question after this weekend cause i've only build and used cm12 roms during the last few weeks.
Why still random reboots?

I have some problem to understand how you managed your files. You posted this link for CM12 : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=24165
But it looks like temasek builds.
When clicking on the link for temasek there is no file.
@Riichard63 : I can only test on my own mi3w.
HDR bug: Can't reproduce it
Lookscreen in landscape : works for me: see attached picture
Games: will test it in the next few hours
@Bitti09,we have official mokee why you want to build it ?
Try using Ivan libs..might fix random reboots..BTW Awesome share..

Oh I thought landscape lockscreen was a bug not a feature xD
Yes I undestand that you can't reproduce HDR bug on your device. As I always read here and on en.miui.com HDR is working for Mi3, but not for Mi4 on all lollipop roms.
Aparently some users on Mi3 are able to run real racing 3

because official mokee builds are failing since 2015-02-15 01:32 -> http://build.mokeedev.com/nightly/
@Riichard63: because i've used audahadis repo without any changes.
Next cm12/temasek builds will have the correct files names.
Edit2: Tested asphalt8 without FC or other problems .
Try using Ivan's libs , thanks for ur efforts

New thread... It's better
Thank's for create a new thread with your work... It's better. :highfive:

Hi,
After upgrading your version of temasek CM12, Wipe cache and dalvik cache on audahadi CM12
install cm-12-20150220-UNOFFICIAL-temasek-cancro
UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
pa_gapps-modular-pico-5.0.1-20150215-signed.zip
reboot
test phone call for 20 minutes = 4 reboots with MI3W... :crying:
New information compared to audahadi Rom : error on each restart after the crash : the process com.android.incallui has stopped
some problems of translation in parameters...
test sms/mms, is ok
for me, the same problems exist than audahadi CM12 Rom
for the moment it's the result of my test in some minutes
Thank's for your help and your work
Umm..where's the 10pm build of cm12 sir @Bitti09?

HDR is a problem only when using it while camera app is in landscape mode.
The app just seems to freeze and even that photo doesn't get saved.
I am using Mi3w and have used your temasek, and cm12 build and the above mentioned problem exits in all, even in AOSP lollipop ROM by ivan.
I have used AOSP camera app, Google Camera, Cameranext, Open Camera and have had the same problem with all.
Thank You for your GREAT WORK. Happy to see a new thread for your builds...
Are the random reboots fixed in any of the 2 builds?
What are the differences between temasek's and yours?
i can't seem to turn off the lockscreen rotation..
it's kinda annoying that it always rotates...
Quick Update:
building a new cm12 rom with some cherrypicks. It should be online within the next 1-2h
All cherrypicks can be seen in my github repos, just look for commits with " Bitti09 committed" in the following repos:

[ROM][7.0.0][UNOFFICIAL][WIP] Cyanogenmod 14.0 - SM-T705

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.0 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
*
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

This thread is for Unofficial CyanogenMod 14.0 builds for klimtlte (SM-T705). The following will not be supported here:

You obviously didn't read the thread from Schischu. It is closed because there are problems with the kernel that need to be solved causing problems for many users. Example: I can't open streaming video in Chrome without it crashing frequently.

It is closed because he didn't push the kernel anywhere public. Meaning he broke GPL, XDA has a strong stand on that subject.
