If anyone had a problem with the Amazon app store fcing since the official JB update like I did, I got an email from Amazon tonight with an update. I tested it and it works great. I can finally get my faotd fix again besides retrieving the apps I've bought on there.

I got the same email. Update works great
I installed the updated version and it ran horrible for me. Slow, freezing and non-responsive. Not sure why that would be.

+1 on clearing the data on the app. I also had the app store not working issue. Now it's Amazon MP3. I get a "device could not be authenticated" message. Exception #100. Perhaps they'll crank out a fix for that too.

I am happy to report that the SiriusXM app version 2.0 apk is working on the Motorola Xoom WIFI with ICS! Although the APK is still not available in the Playstore aka Marketplace. I got the file on my Skyrocket and pulled it with RootExplorer zipped it and sent via bluetooth to my xoom unzipped and wallah... Satellite radio at last!

FWIW, it's showing up in the GP Market as available ... have you tried to get it recently? It has actually upgraded (from a version I got from TB from one of my phones) last week for me.

Has anyone found an apk that works for Canadian sirius accounts? The 1.0.0 version is still all that's available on the sirius.ca website and never did work on the Xoom

I installed it on my Razr MAXX. Other than the addition of "Magazines and TV", I didn't see any difference. I uninstalled it because I have no interest in these additions. ..But it did work fine. You can try it on the TF. It's easy to uninstall the update if there's any issues.
I have it installed on my stock ICS TF101. I downloaded it from another XDA thread, I believe for the Amaze 4G. It is running fine with no problems. I've already canceled a magazine subscription from the nook store and started getting it though play magazines. It was almost 40% cheaper through the play store. Loving it so far.
I just noticed that sometime in the last 48 hours, the new Play Store was pushed to my TF. It is now running 3.7.13.

Your Play Store should have updated itself my now. It's been pushed to all my devices. If not, you can find it on sites such has "Droid-Life".
Yea, I'm using it. I like the new magazine section. You should have no problem with it. Just find it and upgrade.

I just realized that the new store has added some pretty subtle improvements like auto-complete to the search box (it'll pop up with actual apps as you type, as opposed to just keywords - allowing you to bypass the search results screen) and full screen pictures of icons when you click on them.

And, yes, ICS is the way to go. Don't let the bootloader talk worry you. It is a fairly straightforward & well documented process. Your tablet will thank you for it.

Thanks, I'll have to check it out. BaconReader was the first one I installed and never really looked back since it got a fair amount of updates.

The new version has swiping built in now. You don't even have to switch. You can use both in the same message if you want.

Got SwiftKey when the whole marketplace transitioned to play store. They had a ten cents sale. Best typing ever although it performed better when rapid could be chosen.
Who else is irritated Google retired Reader AND latitude?! Loved both of them dearly.

Adfree is not in the play store. And the version of adownloader that has search built in is 1.1.0.1 also not in the play store.
Love love love screebl pro. Never was satisfied with the Samsung smart stay apps.
Oh and don't forget adobe flash although I don't really consider that an app so much as a plug in.

Light manager is very handy. I've used it to reprogram the notification LED, now it lights up when I charge and different colours for different apps.

I saw that you're using feedly, I've been using it for several years and they really stepped up with feedly cloud and api when reader went away. But I started using the gReader app (compatible with feedly) as a mobile interface and I actually like it a lot better than the feedly app. I would recommend it.

Right! Love greader. But for some reason after an update, it fails to add my feedly account so I just gave up. I saw on play store other people were experiencing the same issue.

I've installed a couple of versions of the amazon app and the app will not allow me to download and install the instant video apk. and even if i manually install the instant video apk the app will not recognize it. anyone else having similar issues?
Works for me, watching a video now.

yeah, i have that one installed from amazon.com/androidapp
keeps telling me not supported on this version when i select "Install Now" from within the underground app, wont let me download from official amazon app
my wife has a moto g 3rd gen and it installed fine on hers, i'll keep trying

That's weird.
Only thing I had happen was
Download underground app
Signed in, found instant video app
Clicked download, said I already purchased the app
Had to go to my apps to download

yeah, i'm not sure what happened. i completely uninstalled and rebooted. then installed underground app, got same error but installed video apk from apkmirror and now the underground app sees it
