[Request] latest YouTube apk before revamp - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Basically I want the YouTube apk just before the 10 inch tab revamp. I like the old 10 inch but on the n7 the new one doesn't fit on screen properly.

New layout is horrible especially on a 10 inch screen. Also it no longer has a full screen button.
Just open up the app in settings and click on uninstall updates to get the old one back.

Another app to add to the "Do not Update" list along with BBC News and Dolphin Browser where the Updated versions are not as good as the originals.

Do people who designs these things actually think about anything they do? Horrendous update.

Those with the transformer in the UK...

Do you have splashtop hd in your app drawer (pre installed). I think in the US they get splashtop pre installed but it doesn't appear to be on my transformer. However, when checking all applications in settings, I noticed splashtop is there with no way to open it though? can anyone confirm or shed light on the issue? Thanks

In Canada we are using the WW firmware as well and I don't have Splashtop HD in my app drawer. Same situation under all apps in settings, so strange.
Open the MyCloud app, that's where it is on my Transformer TF101 and TF300. I'm US, but I'd check anyway.

Netherlands (europe) here, same situation as Mibikin. Asus' Mycloud connect is just a rebranded version of Splashtop THD.
Bought from Currys today; mine did not have Splashtop pre-installed.

The Amazon version works for me. I wish it worked on Linux.

sideloaded splashtop HD from Market and works just fine. Only problem is N7's top status bar and button menu bar acting as overlay so I can't click on the very top and very bottom portion of the desktop.
When is Splashtop 2 coming and will that have a HD version.

If/when it becomes compatible with the nexus 7 yes. I've read reports of it not even working when side loaded.

Note Taking Apps

Hey guys I'm wondering what apps everyone's using to physically write notes with a stylus.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I don't need it very often but when do, I use Skitch. It can save to Evernote, and so it can sync to other devices.

[Q] Facebook app?

Has anyone found a good Facebook tablet app that looks nice on the Nexus 10? I'm fed up of Facebook giving us a disgusting upscaled phone app.

I use friendcaster but it doesn't have a polished look, it's just practical.
Most of the time I end up with the website version.
I'm wondering this too, the fb app is terrible on here
Sent from my Nexus 10 using xda app-developers app
Friendcaster is probably one of the better apps for Facebook.
Offers duel pane viewing, color change, etc
Basically it's tablet optimized unlike the official facebook app.

Flipboard does the job for all your social networks. Looks great on the large resolution.

Where's Friendster I can't find it, all I get is some gaming app when I search for it in Google play.

I use Flipboard also. I like that it is kind of a one stop shop for things I want to read. You have social networks, news sources, and the like. Plus the app is quite polished.
That's friendcaster not friendster

Your typical WXGA-resolution screen, good viewing angles, good color reproduction.
The screen on the KFHD is probably the best out there right now. I did a lot of research before deciding which tablet to but based on how I would use it. For me the audio and screen needed to be top-notch and this delivers.
