Anyone switch from Blue to White?

I like the blue quite a bit, but the white one seems to be grabbing my attention the more I look at it. Has anyone here made the switch and regretted it?

OmG doesnt matter what other ppl thinks..choose the one that you like more
ps.for me white looks better

haha I'm just getting some opinions man. Sometimes people switch and there may be something they don't like about their decision that can help me make an informed decision.
Sure it's a preference but there are other aspects to the colors that can help a dude decide. Light leak, dirt etc

gotta agree with him.. decide for you not for others. but i am also confused about the colors as well they are both very good. i guess i will just close my eyes and put my hand on one and buy that color lol

Eww I waited for the blue one and I'm glad I did. I held the white phone of my cousin in my hand. And imo it felt subjectively cheap to me after having the blue one! I would never never buy a white one, but as I said taste is very subjective!
Just go to a shop or friend and take it in your hand and then you can decide for yourself

one thing i am worried about is that the white will get dirty so if you like your phones super clean then dont get the white

i think the white looks a little plain IMHO. the blue just looks classy

is that your opinion or experience? cuz the thing with me is i hate it when my phone gets dirty thats why i was leaning towards the blue more

It is a smudge magnet. It's dark and glossy...I mean unless you have some kind of special fingers it gets smudgy.
I have a matte skin coming for mine to take care of that and a regular skin on there now that helps, but naked it gets pretty smudgy.

I dont get it.. how can the white feel cheap when the only difference between the two is color? If you closed your eyes and handled them you wouldnt be able to tell which is blue and which is white so how can the white feel cheaper? lol
I will be getting the blue though only because I dont like white phones.. on that note.

For me it's not smudgy my old arc was much much worse, but I did notice one thing. I put a Samsung flip cover to help protect it, for some reason that back gets a little smudge? But the original didn't

I'd gladly swap my white for your blue if you wanted.
I like to watch films in the dark and the white kinda sticks out like a sore thumb.

Honestly I can't look at the blue version in a direct light: that brushed finish it has around the screen becomes all shiny and looks cheap as hell, really hurts my eye. A friend of mine is getting it today and i tried everything to convince him to go with the white one, but no luck. I wonder how people aren't bothered by this, especially in direct sunlight...

No idea what you mean man. The only way it can hurt my eyes is if the sun reflects off the glass into my eyes, as any phone would.

I have white. I've always had a black phone or dark coloured one so for me white was refresging . I saw the blue when it was finally in stock and glad I got qhite . Some say the white looks cheaper but I think the other way roubd

That's what I didn't like about the blue one. The white is just a simple colour, which, looks much more elegant (if you consider only the pattern by itself).
Also, that after a few months I'd look at it and think "Ugh, why did I get this colour?!". Shades of grey, black and white are more neutral. If I had to pick only one colour clothes for the next two years, it wouldn't be blue, so neither is my phone.
But to be honest, the blue being dark is nice. If it had been that dark in grey, I would have definitely picked it. (I think the brushed finish probably would have suited grey better anyway). My white hasn't had any transfer staining so far, but I am slightly worried hearing what others have said. I'll just have to make sure to use only dye-free (clear) cases.

i have had three blue ones because of various faults. after i sent my first blue one back i went to the carphone warehouse to see the white one in the flesh as the replacement date was earlier for the white.
but after comparing it to the blue one i decided to wait for another blue.
again there was unrelated fault and had to send back again, still waited for a blue and very glad i held out as i love it.

White and blue note 10.1

Hi. Im just about to place order for note 10.1 can any one suggest me for which color i should go for? Plw advise right now cause tomorrow is off and i want tablet today. So its a last minute suggestion from u guys... i always ask xda community for colors at last moment...

Personal taste mate, I picked grey/black cos I liked that, others prefer white... The hardware is the same either way....
Mine doesn't matter anyway as I stick it in a folder style case for protection and ease of carrying.

Im a dark color kind of person..i like dark color..so i pickup dark gray..

No offense friend but do you ever spend ANY time searching the forum before posting a new question? Just as with your previous question, this subject has been discussed to death in multiple threads.
That being said, you'll probably put your tablet in a case so the color doesn't really matter. My experience with my SGS2 is that a black case stained the white plastic so you may want to keep that in mind. I bought the carbon one.

Depending on where you at the white in the usa is on 0nly 16gb the blue one comes in16 and 32 gb thats what i can tell you

u r right dude but this is my last thread about note and colors. i have pre ordered for a white one. i will not put my tablet in case. i dont even put my phone in a case or what not. that looks kinda odd to me. cause these devices are made colorful and beautiful to show, not to protect in ugly cases... im not saying u should not be careless but taking full care is a must when not using cases... or else..... u know Gorilla glass 2 on Samsung Galaxy S3...

The white model looks good in cases and by itself. And the biggest pro for me is that it probably shows up fingerprints around the bezel less easily. I can't stand a fingerprint stained screen.
I got the dark blue/grey one in the end coz I didn't trust my hands with the white inbuilt s pen with my sweaty palm and all. The dark blue/grey one makes a very nice contrast against the chromish speaker grill and sides I must admit.
But either colour looks equally good
the whole GALAXY to NOTE about...counting down from 10 to 1.

Yeah really its just a matter of taste. Hope you never drop your tablet. These things don't bounce well.

Actually, as posted In another thread, I've proven the opposite to be true. Two drops so far without a case. Slippery little sucker! Faired extremely well. At least now I finally have a case. :laugh:

White looks good... buttt with amoled screens and me loving to watch videos I went with the dark one, I feel like the white will distract me when I'm watching a video whereas a dark color would just dissapear... make sense? Oh plus I went to the apple store and saw how dirty the white iPad looked so consider that as well.

I've had both and prefer the "deep grey" (blue?) over the white but it is a personal matter, they are both great.

Dust around screen on titanium grey fault?

Is anyone else bothered with dust packing in around the little gap around the screen? Best seen in light. And only visible on the grey.

I just use a little detailing brush every other day or so on my Pebble blue S3 to handle that. One of the downfalls to not selecting the white model.

YES, I too see it, being quite particular it really annoys me! I just use a very fine make up brush (not mine obviously!!) that seems to do the trick.

had mine for 2 weeks bought from handtec. Just noticed the dust issue and slight gap between the top body and screen, plenty of dust so I've decided to return it for another grey one. tempted to get white but I know I will regret it few days after so sticking to grey as it looks much better.

Cant see one spec of dust in mine, but surely switching to a white will make it show up more?

god dang it, i was about to get the Grey version (its costs 60$ more) as i know the white version turns yellow after use! but damn it seems everyone agrees that this problem only happen with the grey version, this is sad as i really like it :/

I just got my Note 2 titanium grey today. I saw it too, around the corner. Will use it for another day to see if it gets worse. Any idea why it is affecting the Grey model only?
Edit: It is most definetly my scratch guard. Not the dust. Sorry for the wrong info. But I am still curious could anyone post a pic?

I really don't buy the fact, that it happens on a particular coloured device, it's the exact same phone! Just a different colour, if it happens to X it'll happen to Y.
It's not like the white ones have a differently designed front where it doesn't have the gap, they are both the same. If dust does get in there, you'll only see/notice the dust that gets contrasted by the colour of the phone, lighter colours would show up more on the grey, where as darker colours should show up more on the white.

I have the dust "problem", but I don't care as don't affect the screen and it is almost invisible.

It's less visible on the white. I've had blue s3 and white s3 same issue with them.
There is variable gaps on the grey also, I've had 2 Grey. Take a paper and drag across the gap. Does it fall in you will get dust filling up. The good thing about the white one is that dust is not so visible.

For me, this will be minor issue. Note 1 has the same. Taking a sheet of paper and sliding it gently through the gaps helps remove dust. Can hardly see it. imo despite picking up fingerprints like crazy, grey seems like the classiest colour.
I like things staying pristine but gosh, if I were going to worry about eg. possible dust build up between keys on pc keyboard, would go nuts! Gotta accept, its gonna happen. Hopefully casemate or others will produce a tough case that covers these gaps.

I got the black, i was really hoping for the blue however my carrier isn't getting it until the 22nd.
I'm happy with the black, but i'm gonna order a blue back and a blue case. its basically the exact same.

I wanna put the original blue back (when it's available) on my white model.

I originally wanted the blue, but since that wasn't available, I went with the white. I've always had black devices in the past and have grown tired of that color. Decided to try something new this time and definitely not regretting that choice.

The white one is too slippery.

white was my last choice but was only thing available in Korea in March.
I had to have it FIRST.

Not sure did anyone asked about this but I am just curious about XDA community/members phone color preferences. I personally got white Note 4 (Note 3 was black) and I thing white is better for scratches. Which color do you have?

No Gold option?
I would have preferred the gold as it is a bronze gold not a 'shiny gold' but It wasnt available outright in Aus, so I got a black one

I prefer the sleek look of black, this is all based on personal preference though.

I was given the 'midnight blue' special edition from an higher up of of Samsung after the the pilot of the plane we were on suddenly passed out and I had to emergency land the plane on the side of a mountain.

Nice dude, I also got the very special edition of 'Red Mars' after I save one samsung executive from a heart attack in a deserted jungle. lol
Anyway, I'll get the bronze gold when it hit the shelves.

Black...not sure i want to change to any other color..have some issue to find a perfect screen..i have some interest to change to white or gold once they release it, but really afraid if i can not found the same perfect screen i had now..[emoji23]
