Bluetooth Mouse seen as a keyboard? - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Running the latest CM10, when i connect my mouse either through BT or wired (Razer Orochi) it works fine as a mouse, but also detects as a keyboard. Nothing i've done has been able to get the software keyboard to come up.
any ideas? really frustrating to use like this.

Crazy Talk, you can get the virtual keyboard working again if you go into language & input under settings. Select "Default" under Keyboard & Input Methods and turn off the hardware keyboard. Hope this helps It at least worked for me on my CM10 for my Lenovo K1.

Note + BT Mouse & Keyboard

Hi, I have some problems connect my keyboard and mouse to my note.
I have Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 mouse and keyboard
It works fine with my Chinese tablet, but when i connect it to my phone it comes up as keyboard connected and mouse connected but nothing works. No error or anything cursor does not come up.
I saw one thread that says it worked for someone but it does not come up for me.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction ? What am i doing wrong ?
Thanks
Noone tried this yet ?
I used my MS 500 BT Mouse and my HP TouchPad BT Keyboard. Worked beautifully. The mouse curser cam up and the keyboard worked great with no lag.
My keyboard and mouse is one dongle so maybe that is why it does not work. Has anyone tried this exact setup ?
My guess is that dongle connected mouse+keyboard combos are not fully supported because they usually need specific drivers. I have a feeling I read it somewhere around these forums. There might be some exceptions but on Android it's recommended to connect BT HID compliant devices only.
Does anybody have a apple bluetooth keyboard on hand to test it with ?? (a friend of mine use mine) tx

407 GB ROM & bluetooth mouse

I occasionally use a bluetooth mouse with the streak when editing documents and it worked with stock 360 ROM. After updating to 407 Olleh rom, the mouse support is way different. Instead of a mouse pointer, it now acts like arrow button presses. The mouse support is stuffed in 407.
Also, I have another Streak with a faulty touchscreen which I would like to use a mouse with. however, the streak won't automatically pair and use bluetooth mouse on reboot. Is there a script or tool I can use to setup bluetooth mouse so that I can use it without touchscreen input to set it up after reboot.
Would love any help and thanks in advance.
Found a solution!
Tried out the CM7 mod and it supports bluetooth mouse exactly as I wanted!
now I can swap a working screen & digitizer into this streak and setup CM7 on it and pair the mouse. Then I can put the screen with the faulty digitizer back into it and when it reboots, it will automatically pair the mouse and work without touching the screen!
Also, the right mouse button acts as the BACK button which is great!
And I must say this CM7 is freakin AWESOME!

BT Keyboard and Mouse

So I've had this Xoom BT keyboard for awhile now and it's worked great with my A500. I went out and bought a Targus BT mouse today and I'm having some trouble with the 2 of them when used together. If I connect the keyboard it works great but as soon as I connect the mouse the keyboard stops working. If I connect the keyboard the mouse stops working.
I just tried it with my Motorola Photon and get the same exact thing. This isn't going to work for me if I can't use both at the same time. Any ideas? I'm running the stock ICS but rooted.
I'm going to post this on the MO-Pho forum as well sorry if this causes any duplication issues.

Can't pair Bluetooth keyboard and mouse at the same time

I originally saw this happen on Xoom devices over a year ago, but I never got the Xoom and thus didn't pay much attention to it. Now Android 4.1 is out, and I've taken the plunge with a Nexus 7. But, I still wanted to use it like a laptop in some cases, so today I finally picked up a Logitech keyboard to accompany my existing Razer Orochi. However, there's a massive conflict with this setup.
Every time I connect both of them over Bluetooth at the same time, the Orochi kicks out the keyboard, and it gets stuck in a constant loop of disconnect/reconnect. The mouse continues to work fine, but attempting any input from the keyboard during this will cause the OS to go nuts. I wish I had a better description of the behavior, but basically the app currently in focus will just refresh, quick and jerky.
When I'm in the Bluetooth settings, I can see the Orochi picked up as a mouse, but if I go into Language and Input, for some reason I can still select a keyboard layout for the Orochi. I witnessed similar behavior on my Galaxy Nexus when I paired just the Orochi by itself, basically I had no soft keyboard input while the Orochi was connected because the OS thought it was a physical keyboard.
What gives? How come Android can't differentiate a mouse from a keyboard, when it works just fine in Linux on my desktop?
Anybody else have this happen to them?
That's strange.
I've paired an Apple Wireless keyboard and mouse and it works great concurrently. No issues.

I haven't heard of any issues with Apple peripherals. Just a few different mice that this happens with, such as the Orochi. Reference thread.

Logitech TV730 Mini Keyboard works with FireTV!

Mouse mode too!
This is awesome! I had read that the FireTV worked with some Logitech keyboards. I had a Logitech mini keyboard that I originally bought to use with my Logitech Revue. The mini keyboard is really sweet with a small touch pad that works in mouse mode. The post stating that a Logitech diNovo keyboard worked said that the mouse didn't. This initially lead me to believe that my mini keyboard was the one referred to here, but I now think not.
Anyhow, I tried and tried to get it paired via BT. I even side-loaded the standard Settings app and tried pairing it that way, but no dice. Tonight, I wondered if I could get it to work with my Mac. It came with a "Unifying" dongle that I had tried plugging into the FireTV with no success. I downloaded the Unifying software for my Mac and plugged the dongle in. It mentioned something about pairing (don't remember what exactly), so I paired my mini keyboard and was happy to see both the keyboard and mouse portion working just fine. Then I wondered to myself "Gee… I wonder if it’s linked to this dongle now, and will it work if I plug it into my FireTV"... So, I moved the dongle to my FireTV and was shocked! Right away, the arrows worked, and when I put it in mouse mode and touched the pad, I had a circle on the screen following my finger movement! And the Home button on it takes you back to the Home screen, like it was made for FireTV!
This really opens up using the many apps out there that are written with only for touch interfaces! I was able to navigate Xfinity TV Go from across the room using only this mini keyboard... At the moment, you can still get these through Amazon for $49.99 (though I'm new here and can't link to it - Search for "Logitech Mini Controller for Logitech Revue and Google TV" if you want one).

how does the keyboard function within xbmc?
I use a logitech k360 wireless keyboard with my ftv and it works great, also flawless with xbmc.
I'm not a big XBMC user, but it has worked fine when I've used it. Played a show on it last night and when I hit the button marked with the stop icon, (when the menu was overlaid on the video), and the video stopped...
So far, I've mostly used it for apps that are built for touch screen (like Xfinity's TV app).
I just started using the K400R. So far everything seems to be great. I have not tried the multimedia keys yet though. The mouse/touchpad works great as well.

I've the same MK360 combo but am unable to get a USB connection since the FTC OS was changed a few weeks ago. Are you still getting a connection? I'm not sure what really changed from limited connectivity to zero. Thanks for ideas ....
I know your post is 3 years old, but I'm wondering if you were able to "click" using the trackpad or mouse key on the TV730 with your Mac. I can pair mine, and typing as well as some other keys work, but I'm not able to click to choose anything.
